Northern oblasts

Kyiv

More than 10 drones were destroyed by air defense forces over Kyiv on the night of August 2.

The wreckage of a downed drone fell on a children's playground in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, while in the Solomenskyi district the facade of an administrative building from the 9th to 11th floors was damaged. No one was injured.

As a result of russia's attack on Kyiv, non-residential premises in the Sviatoshynskyi district were also damaged. A fire broke out. There were no casualties.


Kyiv Oblast

In the Kyiv Oblast, due to the night attack by russian drones, the wreckage of a Shahed drone fell on a private house in the Bucha Raion. A fire broke out. No one was injured.

The Irpinvodokanal utility company is building a new water reservoir. This will be an additional water treatment reservoir that will help the city avoid water shortages.


Zhytomyr Oblast

A 27-year-old resident of Korosten, who is accused of publicly supporting russian military actions on the territory of Ukraine, will be tried in the Zhytomyr Oblast.

A contest of business ideas for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises was launched in Zhytomyr. It is open to aspiring entrepreneurs, people with business ideas, students, re-located businesses, and internally displaced persons.



Chernihiv Oblast

On August 1, russians shelled villages in the border area of the Chernihiv Oblast with different types of weapons. The Semenivka, Snovsk, Novhorod-Siversk, and Horodnia communities came under fire.

Almost 1,500 people have left the border villages and towns of the Chernihiv Oblast, which are currently being shelled by the russians. At the same time, about 14,000 people remain to live there.



Sumy Oblast

At night, a russian drone was shot down in the Sumy Oblast.

During the night and in the morning of August 2, russian forces shelled the Sumy Oblast 7 times, with 49 explosions recorded. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure.

In the morning of August 2, the russian army bombarded the center of Krasnopillia. The houses of civilians were significantly damaged.



Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Two residents of the Kharkiv Oblast are being checked by the SBU for their involvement in the targeting of russian kamikaze drones at Kharkiv during the night attack on August 1. The suspects are two unemployed residents of the region. They collected and transmitted data about the Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Kharkiv to their russian handlers.

On August 2, a remote-controlled tractor exploded near Yavirske, Izium Raion, while demining a field. No one was injured in the explosion.

UNESCO published a report confirming the damage done to 274 cultural sites in Ukraine since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 55 of them in the Kharkiv Oblast. In particular, these are 19 churches and museums in Kupiansk, Verkhniy Saltiv, Skovorodynivka, and Kharkiv.



Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the occupiers shelled 13 towns and villages of the Donetsk Oblast.

On August 1, russians wounded three residents of the Donetsk Oblast: 2 in Kurakhove and 1 in Chasiv Yar.

In total, during the full-scale war, russian weapons have taken the lives of 1,639 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,922 people. The number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.



Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

According to preliminary data, the neighboring town of Sloviansk was shelled with S-300 missiles. There were hits near apartment buildings. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

In the Lysychansk sector, five shelling attacks on the Lyman community were registered.

Kramatorsk's heat supply companies continue preparations for the heating season: they are carrying out routine maintenance on generating equipment, inspecting and repairing heating networks. The work is being carried out both in the housing stock and at social and medical infrastructure facilities.

A charity exhibition "Four Facets of the Donetsk Oblast" was opened. The exposition consists of the works by four photographers who work directly on the front line. The goal is to show that war is not only about rage, blood and death, but also about life in its many manifestations. The funds raised will be used to purchase drones for the military.



Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk sector, two people were wounded in Kurakhove, four private houses and one two-story building were damaged. Two more houses were damaged in Hirnyk. 

In Avdiivka, russians shelled the coke plant and residential quarters — 10 streets were hit. A house in Krasnohorivka was damaged in the Maryinka community, and power transmission lines were damaged in the Ocheretyne community.



Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, the administrative building in Toretsk was damaged, and the outskirts of New York were hit by two airstrikes. Chasiv Yar, as well as Rozdolivka and Vasiukivka of the Soledar community are under fire.

Over the past 24 hours, the russian army has shelled the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine around Bakhmut almost 700 times.

 

Mariupol

In temporarily occupied Mariupol, partisans poisoned russian officers. 17 russian soldiers were admitted to the hospital in serious condition. Two of them died.


Luhansk Oblast

In the last four days in the Svatove community, the invaders tried to advance from the areas of Karmazynivka and Kuzemivka to Novoselivske and Novoiehorivka. The russians threw regular troops and "Storm Zed" assault groups into battle.

Last week, more than 1,000 internally displaced persons of the Luhansk Oblast received food packages in the humanitarian hubs of the Kreminna city military administration. In a month, almost 5,000 food packages were given out through the Kreminna humanitarian hubs.


Southern Oblast

Mykolaiv Oblast

On August 1, the russian army shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community six times. Shelling of the coast of Ochakiv and the Kutsurub community was also recorded in the Mykolaiv Oblast. There were no casualties.


Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, the russian army fired 97 times on populated areas of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. 24 settlements came under fire.

One more person died as a result of a massive attack by the enemy on the city of Orihiv, the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In one of the five-story buildings, apartments on the first and second floors with a total area of 200 square meters were on fire. Special equipment of the State Emergency Service was damaged.

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to allocate more than UAH 815 million for the reconstruction of 7 high-rise buildings in Zaporizhzhia, which were destroyed by the occupying russian army. Another UAH 130 million was allocated from the city budget. 


Odesa Oblast

11 "Shahed-136" drones were destroyed by air defense during a night attack in the south of the Odesa Oblast. They were launched from the Azov Sea through the Black Sea. As a result of the attack, fires broke out at the facilities of the port and industrial infrastructure of the oblast.

During the night shelling of Odesa, the three-story building of the "Marine Station" suffered significant destruction. The elevator, grain hangars, production, storage and administrative premises were also damaged.

The enemy is again increasing the presence of missile carriers in the Black Sea. Underwater and surface missile carriers have been successively put on combat duty. In this case, the total volley of Calibers can reach 12 missiles.

In Odesa, 433 people received assistance for the total amount of UAH 13.2 million due to damage to their homes during missile attacks in June.

Representatives of UNESCO recorded damage due to russian attacks on eight cultural monuments of Ukraine in the Odesa Oblast. After the surveys, the commission will draw up a report and recommendations on the restoration and preservation of cultural heritage sites.


Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, the russian army shelled more than 10 settlements in the Kherson Oblast.

On the night of August 2, russian troops attacked Kherson with tube artillery and mortars. Two people were injured. Houses, office premises and vehicles were damaged. A criminal investigation was opened.

In the morning, russian troops shelled the center of Kherson. The enemy hit the bank premises and the home of a 78-year-old Kherson woman. The woman was not injured.

Rescuers discovered the body of a dead woman under the rubble of a house after enemy shelling in the Beryslav Raion.

On the left bank of the Kherson Oblast, the occupiers are preparing for fake elections. They come to people's homes and record who has a russian passport. The occupiers put pressure on those who refuse to receive a russian passport, threatening deportation to depressed regions of russia.


Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of August 2, the russian army shelled the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. There were no dead or injured. Consequences are established. 

After the russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih on July 31, more than two thousand apartments were damaged. At the site of the shelling, 2 headquarters were deployed to eliminate the consequences of the attack.


In Dnipro, the city council will repair shelters in 80 kindergartens.

In Kryvyi Rih, water supply to the city was increased by 10%. It was possible to do this due to the installation of additional systems of the "pump in a pump" type on the waterworks, which were built in July. However, the strict water saving regime continues to operate in the city. 

On the night of August 2, the 17th successful launch of the Antares launch system, which was developed by American designers with the active participation of specialists from Dnipro, took place. A rocket launched a spacecraft for the International Space Station.

A kitchen for people with disabilities was equipped in one of the social centers of Dnipro. Mobile shelves, dishwashers and an electric stove were installed there. This will help people with disabilities to rehabilitate faster.

Football fans put up a FC Fuenlabrada t-shirt with the autograph of Dnipro player Roman Zozulia for a charity auction. The starting price is UAH 1,000, the step is UAH 250. All proceeds will go to the military from the 98th brigade of the Territorial Defense to purchase cars.


Kirovohrad Oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, a space for emotional relief was opened, which was started by students of the Kropyvnytskyi Vocational Lyceum in the field of services and trade. This is a corner for those who suffered or still suffer from domestic violence, as well as a place where everyone can learn tolerance and full interaction with each other.


Poltava Oblast

A new mural was opened near the agricultural university in Poltava. It is dedicated to the struggle of the Ukrainian people against russia. The author of the work is the artist Dmytro Bilokin. The money for the work was collected by the caring citizens of Poltava. At the opening, the memory of Yulian Matviychuk, who died at the front, was honored.


Vinnytsia Oblast

321 enterprises have relocated to Vinnytsia since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. More than 1,500 jobs were created on their base.

The Cabinet of Ministers transferred the shares of Vinnytsia Aviation Plant to the management of Motor Sich PJSC, which is managed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.


Western oblasts

Volyn Oblast

During the year, 213 Volyn citizens received grant funds under the state program "Own business". Among them, three people are combatants and members of their families.

Food kits, baby diapers and clothes were distributed in Lutsk. 200 food packages were created for internally displaced persons from the Luhansk Oblast.


Lviv Oblast

The Lviv IT Cluster, as part of the "Sky" project, handed over equipment worth 1 million hryvnias to the "West" Air Command. It helps individual units interact more quickly and better identify, track and hit targets.

By the end of the year, all communist monuments, including memorial plaques, will be dismantled in the Lviv Oblast. Today, the Sambir Raion ranks third in the region after the Stryi Raion, where the percentage of clearance from the Soviet legacy is 81%, and the Yavoriv Raion - 76%.


Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Anti-radiation shelters will be built in five educational institutions of the Khmelnytskyi community - two kindergartens and three schools. They will be built with co-financing from the city and state budgets. 72 million hryvnias have been previously provided for this in the city budget.


Kamianets-Podilskyi

Four children from the community formed a roadblock at which they collected funds and handed them over to volunteer Volodymyr Cherniak to help the Armed Forces. Recently, 70,000 hryvnias were transferred, which were used to buy a thermal imager for 43 separate mechanized brigades named after King Danylo (51,000 hryvnias), and the rest were spent on repairing cars for the Armed Forces. The head of the community presented gifts to the young volunteers.


Chernivtsi Oblast

Ivan Dutchak, a resident of the village of Ispas of the Vyzhnytsia community, was awarded the "Golden Cross" badge of honor by Valery Zaluzhny. The military man was awarded for high indicators of combat training.

The department of the pyrotechnic works group of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi Oblast continues to carry out humanitarian demining of the de-occupied territories of the Donetsk Oblast. They scan the area for explosive devices and destroy them.

In the Chernivtsi Regional Psychiatric Hospital, the department where defenders are rehabilitated has been renovated. The staff renovated the space together with the patients, the institution purchased the materials at its own expense. So now patients can enjoy a cozy kitchen, a rest room and tidy toilets.

Social institutions of Bukovyna received help from the "Leader" organization. Thus, a 160-liter food boiler was delivered to the Nyzhni Stanivtsii psychoneurological boarding house. And the Khotyn dormitory received heaters and a baking cabinet.

Volunteers from Kharkiv and Irpen publish a newspaper for displaced people in Chernivtsi called "Help and Hope". In this way, they want to help immigrants integrate into the life of the city.


Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

The head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Association of ATO participants and veterans, Myroslav Kril, was awarded the Order "For Courage" II degree. Myroslav Kril is a public figure, volunteer, participant of the Revolution of Dignity and ATO/UFO (United Forces Operation). In July 2014, he went to the front as a volunteer. He fought in the 24th separate assault battalion "Aidar".


Zakarpattia Oblast

On August 1, the government approved the creation of a new industrial park in Zakarpattia, which will provide 745 jobs.

The Uzhgorod Raion is increasing assistance to the affected settlements of the Kherson Oblast.

Representatives of the authorities visited Chornobaivska and Velykoaleksandrivka communities, examined the extent of the destruction and learned about the priority needs. Agreements were made with community leaders on further assistance.

A memorial in the form of a wheel with a mini-sculpture dedicated to the victims of the Roma Holocaust was opened in Uzhhorod. The monument sign was installed in the yard of the first Roma school in Europe — Uzhgorod Gymnasium No. 14.
