Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

About a hundred relatives of servicemen gathered on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv for an action demanding the demobilization of soldiers who had been at the front for more than 18 months.

“Feeling of hopelessness”: in the center of Kyiv, the relatives of the captured defenders of Mariupol demand new exchanges. For the fourth month in a row, they are holding an open-ended protest near the President's Office.

A New Year's postal residence was opened in the building of the Central Post Office in Kyiv. A mailbox was set up there for those willing to send holiday greetings to unfamiliar children.

 

Kyiv Oblast 

In Irpin, control over the quality of the reconstruction of objects that were damaged as a result of the russian invasion will be strengthened. The special commission of the city council will go on inspections, meet with the owners of houses or apartments and representatives of contractors.

At the Bucha Lyceum No. 34 in the Kyiv Oblast, more than 167,000 hryvnias were collected during the charity fair. All money will be transferred to the Armed Forces.

 

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr, for the needs of the 9th Border Detachment named after the Sichovi Striltsi, an off-road vehicle equipped with medical supplies and three trucks adapted for the tasks were handed over.

The Porublovy from Berdychiv make salt warmers for the military. For this, they use bags of children's mashed potatoes. In a month, volunteers sent 45 heating pads to the front line.

Since the beginning of the year, almost 400 people with disabilities have found work in the Zhytomyr Oblast through the employment service. The Oblast ranks third in Ukraine in employment of people with disabilities and second in terms of the number of people in this category who are looking for work through the employment service.

 

Chernihiv Oblast

After midnight from November 30 to December 1, russian troops shelled villages in the Snovsk and Novgorod-Siversk communities of Chernihiv Oblast.

Russian troops shelled the village of Oleksandrivka in the Semenivka community in the Chernihiv Oblast. Two civilians were injured. One residential building burned down.

A social taxi was launched in Nizhyn: the car was donated by benefactors for 15,000 euros.

Chernihiv volunteers are preparing 10,000 boxes of goodies for children and soldiers from the frontline areas. For the second year in a row, the Chernihiv Iskra Dobra Charitable Foundation, together with the local bakery and the volunteer organization Nova Ukraine, decided to organize a holiday for children from the frontline regions.

 

Sumy Oblast 

During the night and morning of December 2, the russian military fired mortars at two communities in the Sumy Oblast, 8 explosions were recorded.

 

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast 

During the day, the settlements of Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuguiv and Kupyansk raions were attacked by the russian federation. In Kurylivka, a house and a garage were damaged as a result of being hit by an aerial bomb.

The defense forces in the Kupyansk raion repelled 13 russian attacks, the russians stormed Synkivka in the Kharkiv Oblast, Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk Oblast.

In the Kharkiv Oblast, fortifications are being built in the north of the Oblast, in the Kupyansk, Lyman and Borova directions.

In 2023, Kharkiv utility workers connected more than a thousand houses damaged by shelling to water supply. There are 20 houses left in Kharkiv to which it was not possible to run water - they cannot get there because of the danger of collapse. 

 

Donetsk Oblast 

The russian military shelled 12 populated areas of Donetsk Oblast 17 times with tanks, aviation, artillery, and “Grads”. 21 residential buildings were damaged.

Yesterday, one person was killed and two others were injured by shelling of the russian federation in Donetsk Oblast.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,784 civilians of Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 4,357. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

 

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the Lysychansk direction, a house was damaged in Serebryanka of the Siversk community, and Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community were shelled.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Soldiers of the 1st battalion of the 79th separate air assault brigade deny the complete capture of Maryinka by the occupiers, as reported by BILD.  

The number of russian attacks in the Avdiivka sector decreased. Ukrainian Armed Forces control the coke plant. Heavy fighting continues in the area of the industrial zone.

After a missile strike in Novohrodivka, Donetsk Oblast, the rubble of a house is still being dismantled. As of 12:00, the bodies of a family with a child have not been found. A dog handler and a dog are being used to search for them.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka sector, 1 person died in the Chasiv Yar community, and 6 private houses, 3 multi-storey buildings, and an industrial building were damaged. In the Toretsk community, 1 person was wounded and 14 houses were damaged: 8 in Pivnichne and 6 in Toretsk. In Soledar community, Rozdolivka and Minkivka were shelled.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha sector, a house in Bohoyavlenka of the Vuhledar community was damaged.

Luhansk Oblast

Occupants in Svatove Raion cut off gas supply to houses where russian military lived and did not pay bills for gas consumption.

Southern Oblasts 

Mykolaiv Oblast

On December 1, russian troops shelled the village of Solonchaky in the Kutsurub community. At night, the open area between the villages of Solonchaky and Dmytrivka was shelled. No one was killed or injured.

On the night of December 2, shelling was also recorded in the waters of the Ochakiv community.

Mykolaiv Oblast will celebrate the second Christmas and New Year in the context of a full-scale war. All cities in the region have abandoned the traditional Christmas tree in the central squares and are enforcing a ban on organizing mass events.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The russian military attacked 5 communities with 14 drones and fired 5 MLRS at another 4 communities. A house and an outbuilding were damaged during the shelling. No civilians were injured.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, russian troops unsuccessfully tried to regain their lost ground in the vicinity of Robotyne eight times, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled four attacks west of Verbove.

In the temporarily occupied Melitopol, explosions were heard today near the airfield.

A complete blackout occurred at Zaporizhzhia NPP, which could have led to a nuclear disaster. All 20 diesel generators were switched on automatically. This morning, Ukrainian specialists restored connection with the Ukrainian power grid.

Odesa Oblast

At night on December 2, air defense forces destroyed 10 attack drones in Odesa Oblast. In total, the russian army launched 11 "Shaheds".

During the night attack, the russian army sent attack drones to the coastal areas of Odesa Oblast. An infrastructure facility was hit. A fire broke out on the spot and was quickly extinguished. No one was injured.

During the full-scale invasion of Odesa Oblast, 29 territorial communities suffered damage. As of November 24, 2,711 objects were included in the register of damaged and destroyed property.

Kherson Oblast

The russian army fired 82 times on the territory of Kherson Oblast yesterday. It fired at residential areas of the region's settlements with mortars, artillery, MLRS, anti-tank missile systems, tanks, aircraft, and UAVs. An educational institution in Kherson was damaged. One person was killed and another wounded.

Russian troops shelled Dniprovskyi district of Kherson at night. A medical facility was damaged, but no one was killed or injured.

During the day, the russian army carried out three air strikes, dropping 18 guided bombs on coastal settlements in Kherson Oblast. They also attacked Veletynske in Kherson Raion, Havrylivka, and Mykhailivka in Beryslav Raion with drones.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

A missile of the russian army over the Dnipro district was shot down by military air defense on the night of December 2.

With artillery, russian troops hit the Chervonogrihorivka community of the Nikopol raion. There were no deaths, injuries, or destruction.

Today, the russian army hit the Dnipro raion with missiles. There are no dead or injured. The consequences of the strikes are being clarified. Rescuers are examining the area.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has sheltered more than 400,000 migrants since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, of which 135,500 are women. This is one of the largest indicators of the number of immigrants in Ukraine. Also, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is in the top three among the regions where business relocated - 710 enterprises moved to the region.

Kirovohrad Oblast 

In Kropyvnytskyi, on Heroes' Maidan Square, 40 people - adults and children - took part in a peaceful action, during which they signed an appeal to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, with a request to demobilize the military, which has been fighting for more than 18 months.

A two-day charity fair began on December 2 in the Oleksandriyivka city community, near the volunteer coordination center. Funds are collected to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Local craftsmen and women craftsmen joined the campaign, who will sell goodies and other craft products on the Christmas theme.

Vinnytsia Oblast 

In the Central City Park named after Leontovych in Vinnytsia, the family charity festival "Veteran-cook from scratch" is taking place. Guests of the event had the opportunity to see competitions among teams of veterans and volunteers led by chefs, master classes, a fair, an auction, etc. The purpose of the event was to raise funds for the delivery and maintenance of 50 "ambulance" carriages for the front. They are provided free of charge by Latvian partners.

Western Oblasts

Volyn Oblast 

Within the experimental project of the Ministry of Social Policy, a sustainability center should be opened in the Novovolyn community. It will provide social services, counseling and socio-psychological assistance.

Lviv Oblast

In Lviv Oblast, 305 settlements were cut off due to bad weather. Lvivoblenergo brigades are restoring the electricity supply.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast 

Kamianets-Podilskyi

The city hosted a three-day regional training seminar "Provision of quality administrative services in the context of crisis response and recovery", which was conducted by the UNDP/SIDA Project. It was held with the support of the Swedish government together with the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration.

Ways of development of the city are being developed in Kamianets-Podilskyi. This was discussed at the event "The role of education and science in smart specialization and clustering of territories".

Chernivtsi Oblast

In particular, aerial bombs, inconspicuous "petal" mines, cluster elements and other munitions in people's yards in the de-occupied Kyiv and Donetsk Oblast are neutralized.

In the Chernivtsi Oblast, volunteers of the "I am the future of Ukraine" foundation collect the wishes of children who are waiting for gifts from St. Nicholas. Their letters are published on social networks, which can be completed by benefactors from all over the country. Gifts will also be taken to the frontline villages and cities of the country.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast 

On December 2, a charity fair began in the center of Ivano-Frankivsk, the proceeds of which will be spent on the purchase of tactical first-aid kits. During two days, 20 craftsmen will sell their products.

Zakarpattia Oblast 

An information audit of open data is being launched in Zakarpattia OMA. The public is invited to participate in electronic consultations, which are ongoing in the format of a survey on the Help Zakarpattia portal until December 8 inclusive. They are asking to share their own experience and impressions about how effectively and transparently the apparatus and structural units of the regional military administration implement the policy of open data.

Delegates of the Zakarpattia Regional Council held meetings with the leadership of the Umbria region and the mayor of Perugia. So, in particular, a modern European-style waste processing complex may appear in Zakarpattia. This perspective was discussed today during the working visit of the delegation of the Zakarpattia Oblast Council to the Italian region of Umbria.

A veteran's assistant was appointed at the YaMariupol center in Uzhhorod. This is a new service launched as part of the "Veterans" project. A veteran's assistant is a specialist who will help defenders organize the provision of basic needs. In particular, to receive psychological and legal support, humanitarian aid.
