Northern Oblasts 

Kyiv

In Kyiv, relatives of captured soldiers, in particular, defenders of "Azovstal" gathered at the "Free Azov" action. A crowd of more than 200 people spread out with placards and flags demanding the renewal of the exchange of defenders long held by russia.

Liquidation of the consequences of snowfall continues in Kyiv. The city's road and utility services together deployed more than 300 units of special snow removal equipment and almost 2,800 people.

During the winter holidays, the curfew in the capital will remain unchanged: from 00:00 to 05:00.

There will be no mass events in Kyiv on Christmas and New Year. Such a decision was adopted by the Defense Council of Kyiv. The Christmas tree on Sofiivska Square will be opened on December 6. It will be installed exclusively at the expense of patrons.


Kyiv Oblast 

With the support of the "Winner Group Ukraine" group of companies, the Kyiv Oblast handed over another car to the military. In the near future, it will be equipped with the necessary equipment.

The "Brave" society and the Vovk+Partners Architects architectural bureau have developed 20 projects for the reconstruction and development of the Irpin community. They were the first to present to the community a pre-project proposal for the expansion and improvement of part of Pokrovsky Park along ATO Heroes' Alley.

Four paintings, which were made by artists during the plein air "Painted Irpin", will be presented at the exhibition in the European Parliament in Brussels from December 7 to 14. You can see them in the premises of the Ukrainian hub.


Zhytomyr Oblast

Another evacuation train arrived in Zhytomyr Oblast, carrying 16 residents of the eastern regions of Ukraine. There are four children among the displaced persons, there is a child with a disability.


Chernihiv Oblast 

On December 2, the russian army shelled the border areas of Chernihiv Oblast. The communities of Novgorod-Siverska, Semenivka and Snovske came under fire.


Sumy Oblast 

On December 2, the russian army shelled 7 communities of Sumy Oblast. 149 explosions were recorded.

On the night of December 3, the russian army shelled the Krasnopillya community in Sumy Oblast. Five mortar explosions were recorded.

The russian army struck Yunakive and Seredyna-Buda in Sumy Oblast with artillery. As a result of the shelling, the warehouse of the farm in Yunakive was damaged, and two private residential buildings were damaged in Seredyna-Buda.


Eastern Oblasts 

Kharkiv Oblast 

During the day, the russian army shelled 16 settlements in Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuguiv and Kupyansk raions. In particular, Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi came under fire, where windows in a five-story building were blown out as a result of shelling.

The enemy struck Kozacha Lopan and Petropavlivka with aircraft.

Seven russian attacks were repulsed by the Defense Forces in the Kupyansk direction in the areas of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka in the Kharkiv Oblast, and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk Oblast.


Donetsk Oblast 

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,784 civilians of Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 4,357. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

The Prosecutor General's Office launched an investigation after the shooting of two Ukrainian servicemen by a group of russian soldiers in Donetsk Oblast. A video published online on December 2 shows russians shooting at close range unarmed Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered as prisoners.


Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the Lysychansk direction, Siversk and Torske of the Lyman community were shelled — without destruction.


Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

On the Donetsk side, in the Ocheretyn community, a house in Solovyovo was damaged, and Berdychi was fired upon. Krasnohorivka and Georgiivka were under fire in the Maryinka community. In the morning, a massive shelling of Avdiyivka took place. Novoekonomichne Hrodivka community was hit by 5 rockets.

After midnight on December 3, the occupiers launched 3 rocket attacks on the New Economic Pokrovsk raion - three private houses and educational institutions were damaged, Shcherbynivka was hit with a guided aerial bomb, Halytsynivka was shelled with artillery.

In Novohrodivka, a family with an 8-year-old child was not found at the site of a partially destroyed three-story building. Construction waste will be sorted and removed from Monday. If the family is not found, they will be considered missing.

The military is storming Stepove, a coke-chemical plant, and a highway in the Avdiyivka raion. Since the morning of December 3, the russian army has massively shelled the territory of the Avdiyivka community more than 10 times.


Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

In the direction of Horlivka, the russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on Shcherbynivka of the Toretsk community, damaging 8 houses. In the Chasiv Yar community, 3 private houses and an industrial building were damaged.


Luhansk Oblast

The occupiers in Starobilsk banned the celebration of St. Nicholas in educational institutions, considering it purely Ukrainian. Children will be welcomed by Kish Babai from Tatarstan.

 

Southern Oblasts 

Mykolayiv Oblast 

On December 2, russian troops attacked Mykolayiv Oblast with artillery and anti-aircraft guns. As a result of one of the hits, a fire broke out in the house, which was quickly extinguished. There are no injuries or deaths.

On the night of December 3, air defense forces shot down 8 Shahed-131/136 type attack drones over the Mykolayiv Oblast.

On December 2, in the Berezanka community of Mykolayiv Oblast, russian troops struck with rocket launchers. As a result of the impact, residential buildings, a garage and a car were damaged.

 

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Yesterday, the rashists made 86 attacks on 19 settlements of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. There were 3 reports of destruction as a result of shelling by russian military personnel. No casualties.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the russian military tried unsuccessfully 12 times to restore the lost position in the areas south of Robotyne, west and northwest of Verbove.

 

Odesa Oblast 

82 evacuees from the Gaza strip arrived in Odesa, 45 of them were children. Currently, 19 citizens are accommodated in Odesa. They are provided with assistance in the preparation of documents.

The Odesa City Council plans to purchase 1,500 FPV drones along with the necessary components worth 20.5 million hryvnias. The drones must be handed over by December 25, but the contract has not yet been concluded with the winner.

 

Kherson Oblast

During the day, the russian military attacked the territory of the Kherson Oblast 76 times. They targeted the residential quarters of the settlements of the Oblast, the territory of the plant in Kherson, the power grid in the Kherson raion. One person is injured.

This afternoon, the russian military shelled one of the settlements of the Kherson raion. A projectile hit the garage, killing a 78-year-old man.

The russian military attacked the Centralnyi district of Kherson. They shot into a high-rise building. One person died, seven people were injured.

The russian army struck two hospitals in Kherson. Buildings of medical institutions are damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

In the settlements of the Kherson Oblast, which are located 15-20 km from the Dnipro, the number of destroyed houses is increasing due to the daily shelling of the russian federation. It is better for residents of communities where infrastructure cannot be rebuilt in the near future to temporarily evacuate.

During the month, the russian army deported a hundred Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast under the guise of evacuation. The lists of these people include local residents whom the russian occupiers suspect of disloyalty.

After a storm in the Black Sea on November 27, Dzharylgach in the Kherson Oblast separated from the mainland and became an island again. In the spring of 2023, the russian army covered the crossing with sand, connected the island to the occupied part of the Oblast and set up a military training ground there - the Center for Journalistic Investigations.

 

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the evening of December 2, the russian army shelled Nikopol and the Chervonogrygorivka community in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with heavy artillery. There are no dead or injured. The consequences of the shelling are being clarified.

In Dnipro, an action is being held in support of the families of prisoners of war. In the city center, half a hundred people came out with posters calling for the return of their relatives.

8.6 billion hryvnias will make up the Oblast budget of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast for 2024 according to preliminary forecasts. More than half of the funds are planned to be used to maintain hospitals, schools, boarding schools and other social institutions.

 

Kirovohrad Oblast 

Under the Kropyvnytskyi City Council, the participants of the action demanded that the deputies of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council spend budget money to help the Armed Forces. They were holding placards with the inscriptions: “Money for the army”, “Money for the armed forces”, “Children need living parents, not new stadiums” and others.

 

Poltava Oblast

The house of St. Nicholas in the Oblast center was opened on December 3. This is a project of the “Poltava Battalion of the Careless” charitable organization. A volunteer dressed as a saint will meet the children at the residence. Anyone can take a photo and leave a wish for him for free.


Vinnytsia Oblast

In Vinnytsia, the Department of Social Policy is implementing the social project "Unconquered in Spirit" to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Participants in the initiative will receive a certificate for free training at the New IT School.


Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Nine settlements in Rivne Oblast are without electricity and one is partially without power.

Almost one and a half hundred wounded soldiers have been rehabilitated from their injuries in the rehabilitation department of the Varas Multidisciplinary Hospital in Rivne Oblast. These are community residents who have been discharged from hospitals and are now undergoing rehabilitation at their place of residence.


Volyn Oblast

At night, two buses with passengers, a tractor, and a truck got stuck in snow drifts in Volyn, the State Emergency Service reported. All vehicles were pulled out by rescuers.


Khmelnytskyi Oblast

At night, on December 3, air defense forces were deployed during an air alert in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, with no reports of casualties or damage to infrastructure.

Due to the bad weather, 64 settlements in Khmelnytskyi Oblast were completely cut off from electricity supply, and 29 settlements were partially cut off. As of 4 p.m., all settlements in Khmelnytskyi Oblast have been supplied with electricity.


Chernivtsi Oblast 

In Chernivtsi Oblast, at the initiative of the Guards, plaques of honor are being installed in all schools where fallen heroes have studied. 

Not only to play a role on an improvised stage but also to become good friends outside the project: The International Organization for Migration has organized acting workshops for everyone, both residents of Chernivtsi and internally displaced persons. 


Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Starting tomorrow, December 4, empty trucks will be allowed to cross from Ukraine to Poland through the "Uhryniv-Dolhobychuv" checkpoint. This checkpoint usually operated only for cars and buses.


Ternopil Oblast

As of 8 a.m., 32 settlements in Ternopil Oblast were without power due to the weather. By 12:00, power was restored in 10 settlements.

In Ternopil, the film "In Ukraine" was presented at the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. This film shows the life of Ukrainians during the war. The film was presented by one of its authors, Polish director Piotr Pawlus.


Zakarpattia Oblast

Lithuanian partners in Zakarpattia handed over more than 500 winter sleeping bags to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This took place during the visit of the delegation of Kaunas region of Lithuania to Zakarpattia Oblast and within the framework of the partnership between Zakarpattia Oblast Council and this Lithuanian region.

Municipal institutions of the Zakarpattia Regional Council received another batch of aid from the Czech Vysočina region. The head of the Vysočina regional government, Zdenek Kadlec, the head of the office of the hetman of the region, Katerina Svobodova, and others delivered the humanitarian aid, first of all, to both Mukachevo psychoneurological boarding schools. The institutions received furniture and household items for everyday use.  

Children of the military and pupils of the Uzhhorod Children and Youth Sports School were able to skate for free at the skating rink in Uzhhorod. The ice rink, which was opened today, will be used to implement various social projects.
