Northern oblasts
Kyiv
Kyiv is planning to reduce the curfew hours starting at midnight on March 26. From March 26, the metro and ground public transport will change their work schedules to match the curfew time, meaning they will operate one hour longer. Shops, shopping centers, and restaurants will also extend their hours of work. This is to allow time for their employees to get home before the curfew starts.
In Kyiv they honored the memory of those killed in the bombing of the Mariupol Drama Theater a year ago. Near the National Opera House, people laid out the inscription "CHILDREN" with light bulbs – the same word was painted in big block letters near the theater in Mariupol.

Today, trainings on pre-medical care were held at metro stations for all those willing to attend.
Zhytomyr Oblast
Senior soldier Ihor Zlenko from the reconnaissance battalion of the Zhytomyr Oblast was awarded the Order "For Courage", Class 3. The award was presented to the defender of Ukraine personally by the head of the First Department of the Novohrad-Volynskyi Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Prymak.
Lyceum No. 15 of Zhytomyr held a charity fair "Do good - it will return to you a hundredfold" and raised money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Parents together with their children sold sweets and pastries that they made at home. Through joint efforts, they managed to raise more than 10 thousand hryvnias at the fair, which will be spent on the needs of the soldiers.
Chernihiv Oblast
On the night of March 16, russians fired mortars at the Semenivka community. Border guards recorded six hits.
On March 17, russians shelled the Snovsk community in the Chernihiv Oblast, most likely with tube artillery. Border guards recorded 27 hits near the village of Khrinivka of this community.
Today, near the village of Shestovytsia, explosive ordnance was disposed of by detonation.
On the morning of March 17, a tractor exploded on the territory of the Ivanivka community. Presumably, it hit an anti-tank mine. The driver was hospitalized with injuries.

Sumy Oblast
On March 16, russians shelled the territories of Shalyhyne and Bilopillia communities with mortars and automatic grenade launchers. The night of March 16-17 passed without enemy attacks.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Over the past day, the enemy continued shelling the settlements of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv raions of the oblast.
In particular, Vovchansk, Kupiansk, Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Shevchenkove, Hrianykivka and other settlements were under fire of the occupiers. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties among the civilian population,
Over the past day, 24 people were evacuated from the areas under constant shelling. The evacuated people received humanitarian aid. Those who needed it were provided with housing.
Mine clearance in the oblast is ongoing. The pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service neutralized 56 explosive devices over the past day.
Donetsk Oblast
The Russian army launched over thirty attacks in the Donetsk Oblast. More than 20 settlements came under enemy fire. Shells, missiles or their fragments hit 46 residential buildings, businesses and other civilian facilities, including the colony in the Kurakhove community.
On March 16, the russians killed 2 residents of the Donetsk Oblast: in Toretsk and in the village of Krasnohorivka. Eight more people in the oblast were wounded.
In total, since the onset of the full-scale war, the russians have killed 1,414 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,218. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
Two waves of shelling of Kostiantynivka from "Hurricanes" with cluster munitions were recorded in the Horlivka direction. Six people were wounded, at least 19 houses, a school and an enterprise were damaged. One person died and one was injured in Toretsk. One person was injured and 5 high-rise buildings were damaged in Bakhmut.
In the Soledar community, five houses were damaged in Fedorivka and five in Vasiukivka. There was a lot of noise in the Chasiv Yar community.
In the Lysychansk direction, the outskirts of the Siversk community, Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community came under fire.
Representatives of the "Kramatorsk Association of Volunteers", who are regular participants in the "Active Community" events in Kramatorsk, visited Avdiivka today with a humanitarian mission. On the way back, they witnessed an enemy rocket hitting a private house. The volunteers did not get lost and promptly provided assistance to the injured local resident, possibly saving his life. The professional skills acquired during the pre-medical first aid training came in handy.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
A colony building was damaged in the Kurakhove community. Marinka and Krasnohorivka of the Marinka community and Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Sievierne and Vodiane of the Ocheretyne one came under fire . In the morning, there was an air missile attack on Avdiivka. There are no casualties.
On March 17, the russian army shelled Ukrainsk of the Selydove community with Uragan multuple rocket launchers. A woman died.

This morning, the russian army hit a 14-story residential building in Avdiivka with a rocket attack. Rescuers and the police checked the high-rise building: there were no injured or dead.

The security service exposed two FSS (Federal Security Service) informants. They are residents of Novohrodivka of the Pokrovsk Raion. They collected intelligence about the location of combat positions and fortified areas of the Defense Forces in the Avdiivka direction. The received information was transmitted to the enemy in the form of encrypted codes through anonymous messengers and the banned Odnoklassniki social network. Security Service officers informed both hostile informants of the suspicion. The perpetrators are currently in custody.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
As a result of another shelling of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk Oblast, six civilians were injured, more than 20 houses, a school and other objects of civil infrastructure were damaged.
Border guards repelled three enemy attacks in the Bakhmut area. The fiercest battle was in the ruins of one of the industrial enterprises. The fighters repelled the onslaught of the Wagner troop with the help of small arms and grenades, and the mortar calculations of the border guards prevented the enemy from raising reserves.
In general, yesterday in the Donetsk Oblast, at least nine invaders were killed, 17 more were wounded.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
Yesterday, the enemy made mortar attacks on the water area of Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.
Odessa Oblast
In Odesa, a former employee of one of the Kherson correctional colonies was exposed, who during his work switched to the side of russia and cooperated with the occupying local authorities.
The mayor of Odesa met with the president of the technological company "JFE Engineering Corporation" Hajime Oshita. The parties discussed the construction of a waste processing plant in Odesa, a vehicle parking system and other promising areas of cooperation within the framework of the recently concluded Memorandum of Understanding on technical cooperation between Odesa and Yokohama.
Volunteers from Odesa raised money and set up a mobile dental clinic to provide assistance to people in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine. Two dentists and a driver will work here. One jorney will last about a week, then the team will change.
Kherson Oblast
russian troops shelled Veletenske in the Bilozerka community, targeting a kindergarten. There are no injured or dead.
During the day, the russian army shelled the settlements of five communities of the Beryslav Raion. In particular, Novooleksandrivka, Mykhailivka, Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Kachkarivka, Chervonyi Maiak and Tiahynka. Residential buildings and farm buildings were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.
As a result of russian shelling, a fire broke out in the Ostriv microdistrict, and a safe with personal belongings caught fire in the parking lot. The fire was extinguished.
In the evening, the russian army attacked the courtyard of one of Kherson's medical institutions with drones. Cars and buildings are damaged.
During the stabilization measures in Blahodativka, law enforcement officers discovered the skeleton of a man. Probably, a local resident was blown up by the occupiers’ mine.
In the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson Oblast, the movement of a convoy of russian soldiers towards Crimea was recorded when they were taking away looted property.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the russian army continues to suffer losses. More than 20 seriously wounded soldiers of the russian federation were brought to the Oleshky Raion hospital of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast for treatment.
Central Oblasts
Cherkasy Oblast
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, almost 800 internally displaced persons have been employed in Cherkasy. Jobs for IDPs were mostly found at processing industry enterprises (25.5%). In second place in terms of the number of employed people is the sphere of wholesale and retail trade - 13.5%. 9% of job seekers are employed in various branches of agriculture.
5 veteran entrepreneurs from Cherkasy Oblast received a refund of 20,000 hryvnias for the purchase of goods and equipment for running their own business from the Ukrainian Veteran Fund of the Ministry of Veterans. Veterans, as well as their close relatives, who are registered as individual entrepreneurs, can receive funds without a competition and collecting documents within 10 days after the application is approved.
In Cherkasy, the "Clothes Bank" project operates, where people from socially vulnerable segments of the population can get the necessary wardrobe items for free. The project is implemented by the Red Cross. Currently, there is 120 square meters of space with clothes. Visitors can not only get the things they need, but also have their clothes ironed or repaired.
Poltava Oblast
State awards were presented to relatives of soldiers from Poltava Oblast. Junior Sergeant Petro Potapchuk was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree. Since February 2, the soldier has been considered missing after the assault near Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut Raion. The award was given to the brother of the Ukrainian defender. Soldier Maksym Zinchenko was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree. He died on June 6 in the Donetsk Oblast. The award was handed over to the mother of the fallen fighter.
As of today, 1,269 internally displaced persons are settled in educational institutions of the Poltava community. They are provided with free accommodation and free 3 meals a day. The premises have the necessary household appliances, the rooms are equipped with beds. There are enough blankets, bed linen, towels, detergents and disinfectants, hygiene products, etc. The needs of internally displaced persons are provided at the expense of the city budget and humanitarian aid. In total, 62,483 internally displaced persons live in the Poltava community.
A meeting of the renaming commission took place in Kremenchuk. The city has already gotten rid of its russian or soviet names as part of de-russification, but the townspeople want to continue modernizing their names.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Kamianets-Podilskyi
With the support of the EU4Business international aid program, the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses held the second strategic session in the format of a round table. It was called "Presentation and discussion of recommendations and priorities for business development in the territory of the Kamianets-Podilskyi community and nearby villages". The event was attended by representatives of the city government, the Employment Center, the tax service, businesses and experts. The participants got acquainted with common challenges, ways of development and recommendations for small and medium-sized businesses in the processing industry, practical cases and programs for supporting entrepreneurs in wartime.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Chernivtsi geriatric boarding house received another help from benefactors. Diapers, chairs for bathing, clothes and many other things were donated to the institution by the charity fund "Angelia".
In Chernivtsi, the authorities and residents are working on renaming 45 addresses. This will allow not only to de-russify the city, but also to honor the memory of outstanding Ukrainians and heroes who died during the russian-Ukrainian war.
Zakarpattia Oblast
Today in Uzhhorod, the victims of the bombing of the Mariupol Drama Theater on March 16, 2022 were commemorated. Residents of Mariupol, who now live in the city, including representatives of the support center for internally displaced persons "I - Mariupol", and residents of Uzhgorod gathered near the Oblast Musical Theater.
The "Energy Help" program continues to operate in the Zakarpattia Oblast. The commission considers and approves business applications for compensation for purchased alternative sources of electricity. Since the beginning of the program, partial compensation has been agreed to 137 business representatives, 44 of whom purchased solar batteries, batteries, charging stations, and inverters.
