Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Kyiv Oblast

It was “noisy” in the Vyshhorod Raion today: explosive ordnance was being disposed of.

Reconstruction of 13 apartment buildings damaged as a result of russian aggression began in the Kyiv Oblast. A total of 18 structures will be restored with the funds raised on the UNITED24 platform. The works are being carried out in Irpin, Hostomel, Borodianka, Myla, and Buzova.

The Bucha community has already restored more than 900 buildings that were damaged during the hostilities in the Kyiv Oblast. These are mostly high-rise buildings, private houses and social facilities. 

The Family Strengthening Center and the Social Services Center were opened in Borodianka. Families from Borodianka and the entire Bucha Raion will be able to recover psychologically here. Financial support was provided by an international charitable organization, the people of Germany, and private donors.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Another 23 IDPs from the Donetsk Oblast, among them five children and three people with disabilities, arrived in Berdychiv by an evacuation train.

Two off-road vehicles and a drone were delivered to two military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zhytomyr. The money for the purchase of the equipment was raised at a charity auction on July 10.

In the Olevsk community, public discussions have begun on renaming the streets, the names of which are associated with the Soviet period or with the names of russian figures. In total, streets in 27 settlements of the Olevsk community are subject to de-russification.

In Zhytomyr, the Swiss international organization Lift Ukraine eV donated a set of resuscitation equipment for infants to the maternity ward of the first city hospital.

Chernihiv Oblast

On August 3, russians shelled the Novhorod-Siversk and Semenivka communities. Border guards recorded seven explosions in the direction of the villages of Dibrova and Hai. 18 explosions were recorded in the direction of the village of Hremiach. In the direction of Bleshnia, 10 explosions were recorded.

Four border guards who recently stopped the attempt by a russian subversive reconnaissance group to enter the territory of the oblast, were presented with the "For Service and Valor" awards. They received the awards from the hands of Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who visited the border area.

In Chernihiv, information stands "Place of Memory" have been installed at locations where civilians and soldiers were killed. They contain brief information about the tragic events that took place at this location during active hostilities, and about the victims.

In the Chernihiv Oblast, about 100 people have applied for compensation for destroyed housing.

Sumy Oblast

Over the past day, the russian military shelled 18 settlements in 9 communities of the Sumy Oblast; 165 explosions were recorded.

At night and in the morning, the russian military fired artillery and mortars at 2 settlements in the Khotyn community.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Cholera vibrio was found by epidemiologists in a sample from Lake Osnova in Kharkiv. It is currently being tested in Kyiv. Therefore, it is strictly prohibited to rest, swim, fish, or take water from the Osnova reservoir.

In the Izium and Bohodukhiv raions of the Kharkiv Oblast, shelters are being repaired in four communities, and preparatory work is underway in some others.

In the Kharkiv Oblast, the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance has included 24 villages, towns, and cities in the list of settlements whose names contain symbols of russian imperial policy. The names of 16 of them are dedicated to May 1.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the russian military shelled eight settlements in the Donetsk Oblast.

On August 3, two people were killed in the Donetsk Oblast. Besides, two other persons were wounded.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,642 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,929 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lysychansk direction, four houses were damaged in Zvanivka, two houses, a shop and a school were damaged in Pereizne. In Yampil of the Lyman community, one house was destroyed and one was damaged. Two houses were damaged in Siversk.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction in Kurakhivka, one person died, two were injured; three houses were destroyed, seven more were damaged. Avdiivka was shelled in the evening, and in the morning industrial facilities were damaged by a rocket attack.

During August 2 and 3, seven people were evacuated from Avdiivka. According to the participants of the rescue operation, this is a record for the past two months.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

16 houses in the North and three houses in New York were damaged in the Horlivka direction in the Toretsk community. Two houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha direction, Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Bohoyavlenka were under fire. There are no casualties.

Mariupol

Mariupol partisans carried out another successful act of sabotage. They disabled the construction equipment used by the occupiers, including in the construction of fortifications around the city.

The trainer of the tiger cub, which was kidnapped by the russians from the Mariupol zoo, reported the death of the animal. According to the russian trainer, the animal had kidney problems.

Luhansk Oblast

In the Luhansk Oblast, the fiercest battles are taking place in the Bilohorivka, Novoselivske raions and Serebriansky forestry.

In the north of the Oblast, mobilized from the russian federation are being trained in military camps. They are prepared for about 10 days.

The occupiers in the Luhansk Oblast are forcing employees of enterprises and educational institutions to join the russian party. They are also agitating to join the ranks of the party of employees of passport offices.

The police brought bread and things to Nevske, Makiivka, Hrekivka, and Novoliubivka. They also documented the crimes of the russian federation. In total, citizens received about 500 loaves of bread and outerwear from the Krasnorichenske Territorial Community. Every time during such trips, the police of the Luhansk Oblast deploy satellite communication to enable the locals to hear their relatives.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On August 3, russian troops shelled the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community, the settlement and the coastal strip of the Kutsurub community. There are no injured or dead.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, August 3, the russian military shelled 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. As a result of the shelling, one man was wounded.

Today, August 4, the russian military shelled Orihiv of the Pology Raion. As a result of shelling, a fire broke out on the territory of a private home. There are no casualties. 

Odesa Oblast

As of the morning of August 4, there are 15 russian ships in the Black Sea, including one missile carrier. Therefore, the threat level remains high.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the soldiers of the Izmail border detachment, which shot down the russian Shahed drones on August 2 during the attack on the ports of Odesa.

The Kiliia community of the Odesa Oblast purchased four powerful searchlights for detecting air targets at night. Almost 200,000 hryvnias were collected for equipment for the military. 

The Odesa City Council allocated an additional 417.8 million hryvnias to support the military and restore damaged housing after shelling.

The city commission approved 46 applications from citizens to receive monetary compensation in the amount of 1 million 800 thousand hryvnias. We are talking about Odessa residents whose homes were damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the russian federation.

In the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi of the Odesa Oblast, a system of automatic doors opening was introduced in 16 shelters during the "Airborne alarm" signal. It is planned to install another 20 automatic locks with remote control, and later to cover all storage facilities.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops shelled the Kherson Oblast 53 times. 241 shells were fired in the oblast, 42 in Kherson. Residential quarters, the territory and building of a church, a cinema, a shopping center, the territory of a hospital and the building of a penitentiary in Kherson were targeted. Nine people were injured.

On the night of August 4, the russian military hit the building of the boiler room of the pathology department of one of the Kherson hospitals. The utility building of the institution was also damaged.

In the morning, russian troops dropped guided aerial bombs on Odradokamianka in the Kherson Oblast. Damaged residential buildings. A 50-year-old man was injured.

In the Kherson Oblast, a resident of the Bilozerka community, who voluntarily helped the russian occupiers, is suspected of aiding the russian federation. He also traded for rubles in his own store, thus contributing to the introduction of the so-called "ruble zone". He faces up to 12 years in prison.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

An 85-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were injured as a result of shelling of Nikopol by russian troops on the night of August 4. They were given the necessary medical assistance. More than two dozen private houses, a car and two trucks were damaged in the city. Several solar panels, greenhouses, three gas pipelines and two power lines were also damaged. The enemy also hit the Chervonohryhorivka and Myrove communities. The consequences of the attacks are being clarified.

25 residents of a building damaged by shelling on July 31 in Kryvyi Rih received financial assistance. UAH 40,000 has been allocated for each of them from the city budget for priority needs.

Yesterday in Kryvyi Rih, the Support Center for internally displaced persons "Bakhmut Raion Unites" was opened. Humanitarian aid, medical services, legal and psychological support will be provided here.

 

Poltava Oblast

Maksym Turchyn, a pilot of attack drones from Hadiach, the Poltava Oblast, received the medal from the President. With the beginning of the large-scale war, the serviceman defended Popasna and Lysychansk. After the rotation, he took part in the liberation of the south of Ukraine.

The Center for Rehabilitation Medicine helps military and civilians recover from diseases of the musculoskeletal system, nervous systems or injuries.

IDPs in the Poltava Oblast can receive one-time assistance for a "warm winter". Payment must be spent on firewood, fuel briquettes or coal.

Cherkasy Oblast

The first regional veterans' forum was held in Cherkasy. At the event, government officials, volunteers and veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war discussed issues of physical rehabilitation of military personnel, social reintegration, employment of veterans and their family members.

The "Cherkasy Dimension" platform for veterans and their relatives was launched in Cherkasy. It will allow people to solve the issue of acquiring the status of a war veteran online, contains lists of benefits, information about medical care and rehabilitation, pensions, professional education, etc.

 

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

The armored vehicle based on the Hummer prototype was created by volunteers in Rivne. Its cost is about $20,000. The vehicle was tested, now the creators want to reach agreements with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Today in Khmelnytskyi another action "Bring the Heroes Home" was held in support of Ukrainians who are in russian captivity. People have already come to the event 51 times.

The coordinator of the AUI "Active Community" in Khmelnytskyi held an art therapy event. Representatives of local mass media took part in it. The goal was to help media workers relieve emotional tension and cope with stress. 

Chernivtsi Oblast 

Captain, serviceman of military unit A7186 Petro Kovaliuk was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.

33 pallets with vegetable preservation were handed over to 18 health care facilities in the oblast by the charitable organization "Blau-Gelbes Kreuz e.V." and "CBG". Both hospitals in Chernivtsi and institutions in the raions received food.

The premises of the children's point "Spilno" in Chernivtsi and Storozhynets, created with the support of UNICEF, will provide free comprehensive social and psychological support. Twice a week, a specialist will conduct trainings and art therapy classes for children and adults here.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III degree to Junior Sergeant Dmytro Matsepa from the village of Biloberizka, the Verkhovyna Raion.

The Carpathian rescuers received equipment from their colleagues from Germany. In particular, this is a mobile ladder that will help to conduct rescue operations at the height of the eighth floor, and a car for the chemical, biological and radiation protection unit.

 

Zakarpattia Oblast

Zakarpattia rescue specialists have been demining the territory of Snihurivka, the Mykolaiv Oblast, for four months.

The Mayor of Uzhhorod met with Tetiana Lomakina, Advisor to the President of Ukraine on Barrier-Free Issues. They discussed the importance of creating a barrier-free environment, in particular, regarding the accessibility of services for people with disabilities and low-mobility groups, educational and other accessibility.

Since the beginning of the year, 399 people with disabilities have used the services of the Zakarpattia Oblast Employment Service, including 379 registered unemployed. 71 persons of this category were employed.

Communities of the Zakarpattia Oblast received new computer and interactive equipment. 15 units of modern equipment were transferred to communities in almost all raions by the United Nations Development Program with the assistance of the British government. We are talking about laptops, printers, monoblocs and interactive equipment, which came under the project "Supporting the sustainability of communities in the regions of Ukraine".

In Uzhhorod, the diplomats' wives got acquainted with the work of the Humanitarian Center "Owl's Nest". On February 25, 2022, it was organized by the Uzhhorod City Council, whose representatives and volunteers worked here around the clock until May 2022. Today, about 40,000 internally displaced people live in Uzhhorod, who came from the war zone almost empty-handed and need the help of such centers.

Cooperation between the Uzhhorod City Council and the international organization UNICEF within the framework of the project "Development of the potential of youth in the western oblasts" was discussed at a meeting of the city authorities with representatives of the youth projects of the Lviv Regional Office of UNICEF in Ukraine and the NGO "Space for Youth". They discussed, in particular, the possibility of creating a youth center in Uzhhorod.
