Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

At night, the russians attacked Kyiv with «Shahed» drones from different directions. All targets around the capital have been identified and shot down, KCMA reported. There are no casualties or damage.

The «Protasiv Yar» festival in memory of the activist and scout of the 93rd Brigade «Cold Yar» Roman Ratushnyi is starting in Kyiv. As the organizers of the event note, the main goal is to spread the idea of ​​public activism, the power of local communities, and popularize human rights initiatives, Ukrainian history, etc. The festival will last from May 27 to September, the main location for artistic events will be “Protasiv Yar”, as well as the building of the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet. During the event, funds will be collected to support defenders of Ukraine. The festival will feature film screenings, concerts, poetry readings, lectures, discussions, and excursions.

Kyiv Oblast

Today in Vyshgorod, Bucha and Brovary raions liquidation of explosive objects was carried out.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Volunteers from France handed over an ambulance to the pyrotechnic unit of the State Emergency Service in the Zhytomyr Oblast. This is the first of nine medical vehicles that benefactors brought to Ukraine, and Zhytomyr Oblast received it.

To date, Zhytomyr Oblast has sheltered 345 wards of social institutions and disabled Ukrainians from Donetsk Oblast, Kherson Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast and Zaporizhzhia. They were supported by social institutions in 14 communities. 

61 educators from Donetsk Oblast, Luhansk Oblast, Mykolayiv Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Kherson Oblast and other Oblasts work on the territory of Zhytomyr Oblast. Teachers, educators and professors who are immigrants teach children in 38 communities of the Oblast.

Zhytomyr Oblast once again topped the list of leaders of the spring forestry campaign. To date, more than 20 million seedlings of various types of trees have been planted here. Rivne Oblast and Kyiv Oblast are also in the top three.

Chernihiv Oblast

Photos of the consequences of the enemy shelling of the village of Girsk in Chernihiv Oblast appeared online. Seven residential buildings and one commercial building were damaged. Also, one farm building was completely destroyed.

In the evening of May 2, the Semenivka community was hit by enemy artillery fire. As a result of the shelling, a residential building and commercial buildings caught fire. The house was destroyed by fire.

On the night of May 2, border guards detected two explosions (probably air bombs from a russian SU-35 aircraft) near the village of Khotiyvka in the Semenivka community.

Due to constant shelling by the russians, 6 settlements in Chernihiv Oblast remain without electricity. In total, there are 518 subscribers without electricity.

On May 3, russian troops shelled the Novgorod-Siversk community. No information was received about losses among the local population or damage to civil infrastructure.

Sumy Oblast

Yesterday, the russians shelled 11 communities of the Sumy Oblast: Bilopillia, Yunakivka, Vorozhba, Myropillia, Seredyna-Buda, Glukhiv, Znob-Novgorod, Shalygyne, Esman, Velyka Pysarivka, and Nova Sloboda.

In Seredyna-Buda, an educational institution, 8 private houses, 2 apartment buildings, a shop, and a power line were damaged. An agricultural enterprise and a car were damaged in Yunakivka community. In one of the villages of the Glukhiv community, the premises of the enterprise were damaged. In the Znob-Novgorod community, a farm and a sawmill were damaged as a result of artillery shelling (16 explosions).

On the night and morning of May 3, the russian army struck the territory of the Svesa and Nova Sloboda communities. In particular, the russian military carried out an airstrike on an educational institution and an enterprise in the village of Svesa.

More than 5,000 consumers of the Sumy Oblast were left without electricity as a result of russian strikes. We are talking about 9 settlements of the Yampil community and the Sumy raion, in which 1,414 consumers are currently left without electricity.

Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, more than 8,000 explosive devices have been defused in Sumy Oblast. Including 20 aerial bombs.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

During yesterday, the enemy shelled the civilian population and civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Kharkiv, Chuguyiv, Kupyansk and Bogoduhiv raions.

In the village of Guryiv Kozachok, Bogodukhiv raion, the premises of an agricultural enterprise were damaged as a result of shelling from an anti-aircraft missile system.

Two apartment buildings and at least three private houses were damaged as a result of shelling of the village of Vilkhuvatka, Kupyansk raion.

In the village of Petropavlivka, Kupyansk raion, a 73-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized due to shelling. Two houses were damaged in the village.

Private households were also damaged in the village of Bochkove, Chuguyiv raion.

Demining of the area continues. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service inspected more than 16 hectares of territory and neutralized 346 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka areas.

During the day, russian troops shelled 11 settlements. The russian army attacked the civilian population with aviation, S-300 air defense systems, Grad, Uragan anti-aircraft missiles, artillery and tanks. 38 civilian objects were damaged - 28 residential buildings, a school, hospitals, a store, a gas pipeline, power lines. 

Over the past day, russian weapons wounded 3 residents of Donetsk Oblast - in Kostyantynivka, Avdiyivka, and Hannivka.

In total, since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,487 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,460. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is still unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the middle of the night, the russians hit Kostyantynivka with kamikaze drones. Also during the day, the city was shelled — 1 person was wounded, 2 infrastructure objects, 5 high-rise buildings and 7 private houses were damaged.

The policemen evacuated ten residents from the village of Yampil, five of them children, whose father was killed by russian shelling.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of Pokrovsk Raion, the Kurakhove community was shelled twice in the last 24 hours, once on the outskirts of Kurakhove town with cannon artillery and once in the village of Hannivka with Uragan MLRS. One person was wounded in Hannivka. There were no damages or destructions.Sporadic shelling of Avdiivka and the outskirts of the Ocheretyne community was registered.Over the past day, russians lost almost two companies of soldiers and 14 pieces of various equipment in the Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors.3,000 free loaves of bread from the Kostyantynivka bakery were distributed among residents of the starosta districts and the town of Novohrodivka in Pokrovsk Raion. The Novogrodovka territorial community receives free loaves of bread from the "Our Business - Ukraine" Charitable Foundation and the "Team4UA" team.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Bakhmut remains at the epicenter of the fighting. Ukrainian defenders are holding the line.

In Horlivka sector, an infrastructure facility was damaged in the Northern Toretsk community. Villages of Soledar community were shelled throughout the day.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha sector, Novoukrainka came under Grad fire - 1 house was damaged.

Luhansk Oblast

Russians fired in the direction of Makiivka and Bilohorivka.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy launched mortar and artillery strikes from MLRS at the waters of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties.

At night, on May 3, a fire broke out in a private household in the Kutsurub community's territory due to a hit from a Shahed-131/136 UAV. The fire was promptly extinguished by a unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast. There were no casualties.

A second kamikaze drone targeting Mykolaiv Oblast was destroyed by the Defense Forces.

The day and night were relatively calm in Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Bashtanka, and Voznesensk Raions.

Residents of Novohryhorivka in Mykolaiv Oblast found shells in their gardens after massive shelling of the village. They were waiting for sappers to start fieldwork. Nevertheless, as of May 2, the villagers are planting their gardens.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, on May 2, the russian military shelled 17 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Tonight, on May 3, russian army once again launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the russian shelling, one house was completely destroyed, two were heavily damaged, and about 40 more had their windows smashed and roofs damaged. No people were injured. 

In the temporarily occupied Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, russian soldiers stop residents to check their documents and tear up their Ukrainian passports. In this way, they are forcing Berdiansk residents to take russian passports.

Odesa Oblast

In Odesa Oblast, residents of the Velykodolyne territorial community heard explosions. The plan was to destroy 13 hand grenades of the RGO.

In Odesa, a 46-year-old woman was detained who was telling on TikTok that she was waiting for the Kremlin leader in the city. She was also ready to endure hostilities to reunite with russians.

The Odesa City Council renamed Suvorov and Malynovskyi districts of the city to Peresypskyi and Khadzhybeyskyi.

Kherson Oblast

On May 2, russian army fired 106 times at Kherson Oblast with heavy artillery, "Grad" rockets, tanks, UAVs, and aircraft. Kherson was shelled nine times. Four people were killed and seven others, including a child, were injured.

On the night of May 3, russian army shelled the city center and Korabelny district of Kherson. No one was killed or injured.

Tokarivka of the Dariivka community also came under fire from russian army. Residential buildings were shelled. A 47-year-old man was killed in his own yard.

This morning, russian army attacked a hypermarket in Kherson. Three people were killed and four were wounded. These are employees and visitors of the establishment.

Russian shells also hit the area of the "ATB" store. One casualty has been reported. A kindergarten was also hit. Russian army hit the Kherson railway station. A shell hit a passenger car, the conductor was wounded. At the time of the attack, the passengers were in a safe shelter. Russian army also fired at an ambulance. Preliminary, one person was killed and three were wounded. Currently, the train to Lviv with 116 passengers left Kherson with a 14-minute delay.

In the afternoon, russian army attacked Stepanivka near Kherson with multiple rocket launchers. Three more people were killed: two at the scene of the attack and one in an ambulance. The victims were employees of the regional power company who were performing emergency work in the village.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovs'k Oblast

On the night of May 3, russian troops attacked an administrative building in Dnipro with a Shahed-136 drone. A fire broke out at the site. No one was injured or killed.

One person was injured. 13 private houses, 9 outbuildings, a medical facility, 2 cars, 22 solar panels, and power lines were damaged. 

On the afternoon of May 3, in the area of Mykolaivka in the Dnipropetrovs'k Oblast, the PC "East" military destroyed a "Kartograf" drone.

Kirovohrad Oblast

At night, 3 "Geranium-2" attacked an oil depot in Kropyvnytskyi. There were no casualties.

A resident of the Onufriyivska community in Kirovohrad Oblast was awarded the Order for Courage and insignia by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for his military services. Today, Denys continues to serve with the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko.

The first group housing for IDPs is being built in Bobrynka, Kirovograd Oblast. It is planned to spend UAH 1 million 800 thousand. To save money, the overhaul is being carried out by utility companies and employees of the lyceum that owns the dormitory. In total, the dormitory will be able to accommodate 28 internally displaced people and about two dozen other students.

Cherkasy Oblast

On the night of May 3, the Air Defense Forces shot down enemy drones over the Cherkasy Oblast. There were no consequences.

Law enforcement officers detained five Cherkasy residents who justified russia's armed aggression. All of the defendants regret their actions and say they were "victims" of russian propaganda. The court will provide an appropriate legal assessment of their actions.

Experts are working at the site of the tragedy in Uman. They are conducting a technical inspection of the multi-story building that was hit by a russian missile on April 28. The goal is to determine whether the building can be restored.

Poltava Oblast

More than 6,000 unemployed people in 10 regions are involved in performing community service as part of the Army of Recovery project. The leader among the regions is Poltava Oblast, where almost 2,000 unemployed people are involved in performing community service. They all receive at least UAH 6,700 from the state for their work.

A year ago, Poltava residents raised 378 thousand hryvnias to buy an anti-drone gun. The silencer was handed over to the Poltava Territorial Defense units, and then it helped soldiers in the Kharkiv and Sumy areas. Now it is being used in the Donetsk Oblast.

Local businesses in the region donated fifty stoves for heating to the military. 

In Poltava Oblast, 164 sites are subject to the law on decommunization. All graves, signs, monuments, and busts must be removed from the register after permission from the Ministry of Culture.

Western Oblast

Rivne Oblast

The training of the "Rage" assault brigade continues in the Rivne Oblast. In two months, the training center has already graduated three groups of fighters who have passed all stages of selection. A total of 103 people have completed the two-week training, including 4 women. Upon completion of the training, the trained soldiers will defend Ukraine on the front lines.

The exemplary children's ensemble Kozachok of the Zdovbytsia village culture center gives charity concerts supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The ensemble consists of 6 students and an artistic director. The group has already raised almost 35 thousand hryvnias. The young musicians donated part of the money to buy a thermal imager for a soldier from the village of Uyiztsi. The next step is to hold charity concerts in individual cities of the Republic of Poland.

Khmelnytsky Oblast

Kamyanets-Podilsky

As part of the opening of the tourist season, Kamianets-Podilskyi welcomed talented children and young people from 12 regions of Ukraine. They took part in the XIV International Art Festival and Competition "Grand Fest Kamianets - Spring 2023" under the slogan "With Ukraine in the Heart". With the support of the city council, the festival organizers transferred 30,000 UAH to the Dobromobil charity fund and also supported a seriously wounded soldier from Ukraine, Valeriy Odaynyk.

Chernivtsi Oblast

The head of the Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration together with volunteers handed over a car to the Vyzhnytsia District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. The vehicle is intended for a military unit. The van was prepared for use on the front line and equipped with a night vision system.

Vashkovka Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Hospital received functional beds and medical equipment. The humanitarian aid was delivered thanks to philanthropists and the Hesed-Shushana and Guilfé charitable foundations.

Three rest areas for donors have appeared in the Chernivtsi Regional Blood Service Center. The corners were arranged thanks to the JYSK chain of stores and the NGO Blood Agents, which organized a campaign to promote donations in Ukraine.

Zakarpattia Oblast

At a meeting of the executive committee of the City Council, the Procedure for accepting and staying in the temporary accommodation unit of the Uzhhorod City Center for Social Services of the Department of Social Policy was approved. IDPs living in places not intended for human habitation (kindergartens, schools, etc.) have the priority right to be accommodated in the unit.

33 modular houses for IDPs were built in Zakarpattia. The money for the construction was provided by Caritas Czech Republic. Children and women from the occupied territories will be housed there first.
