On the night of May 4, russian troops shelled two border communities in Chernihiv Oblast with mortars. Border guards recorded two explosions in the area of the village of Mykolaivka of the Semenivka community and four explosions in the area of the village of Gremyach of the Novgorod-Siversk community.
Today, explosive devices were detonated near the village of Shestovytsia.
Swiss citizen Andreas Saitz built a modular town at his own expense in the village of Krasne in Chernihiv Oblast. According to him, earlier these houses were used as nurseries near Zurich. In total, during the night and morning of May 4, the forces of the russian federation carried out 108 strikes on the border of the Sumy Oblast. 9 communities came under fire: Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Khotin, Znob-Novgorodske, Seredyna-Buda, Shalygyne and Esman. In the village of Uralove of Znob-Novgorodske community, school premises and houses were damaged. In the Shalygyne community, private houses were damaged as a result of artillery shelling (8 hits).
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Yesterday, border and front-line settlements of Kharkiv, Chuguiv, Izyum and Kupyansk raions were under fire from the russian occupiers.
Yesterday, the enemy shelled the village of Kopanky, Izyum raion. No victims and large-scale destruction.
In the village of Bochkove, Chuguyiv raion, a residential building and farm buildings were damaged by enemy shelling.
As a result of the shelling of the village of Vilkhuvatka, Kupyansk raion, a private household was damaged.
The settlements of Vovchansk, Strilecha, Dvorichna, Lyman Pershiy and others were also under enemy fire. There were no casualties among the civilian population during the day.
Mine danger remains high in the Oblast. Yesterday, near the village of Pogonivka, Izyum raion, a tractor was blown up by an unknown explosive device. The 58-year-old driver was hospitalized with multiple injuries.
Demining works are ongoing. Over the yesterday, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service inspected more than 14 hectares of territory and neutralized 298 explosive objects.
Donetsk Oblast
On May 3, the russians killed 2 residents of Donetsk Oblast: in Velyka Novosilka and Zarichne. Another 9 people in the Oblast were injured during the day.
Since February 24, 2022, the russian military has taken the lives of 1,489 civilians of Donetsk Oblast and injured another 3,469 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
In Donetsk Oblast, the occupiers are keeping almost 200 prisoners in detention centers because they refused to receive russian passports. They are forced to get russian passports, and if they refuse, they are punished, the Eastern Human Rights Group reported.
Residents of 105 settlements in Donetsk Oblast do not have electricity in their homes. Two mines in the city of Toretsk were also de-energized. Such are the consequences of the night shelling of the Donetsk Oblast. During the first three days of May, energy companies completely or partially restored electricity in 37 settlements of the Oblast.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion
Two S-300 missiles were fired by the russians at Kramatorsk this night — they were aimed at the territory near the college. The debris damaged a kindergarten, the building of the Kramatorsk Vocational College of Industry, Information Technologies and Business of the Donbas State Machine-Building Academy and nearby residential buildings. Fortunately, there were no casualties. In total, during the full-scale war, the russians damaged 736 educational institutions in Donetsk Oblast.
In the Horlivka direction, 1 person was injured in Mykolaivka of the Kostyantynivska community. In Kostyantynivka, 5 private houses and 3 high-rise buildings were damaged.
In the Lysychansk direction, 1 person died in Zarichne of the Lyman community. 4 houses were damaged in the Siversk community.
That night, as a result of rocket fire, the central water supply that feeds the old part of Kramatorsk was damaged.
In Kramatorsk, utility workers are repairing the road surface at the site of the missile strike. We will remind that on December 17, 2022, the russians attacked Kramatorsk at night. They beat civil infrastructure. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but an educational institution and private houses were damaged, and a giant gully formed on the road.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion
In the Donetsk direction, Avdiyivka was shelled by artillery and «Grads», as well as an air missile strike - houses and the territory of the enterprise were damaged. In the Kurakhove community, 6 houses were damaged in Hannivka and 3 in Uspenivka. Shelling of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka was recorded.
3,000 books were brought to Pokrovsk, which will be distributed among thirteen communities in Donetsk Oblast. Bookshelves will be created in public places in populated areas of the Oblast for children and adults who remain in the Oblast.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Zaporizhzhya Oblast
Over the past day, May 3, russian troops fired at 20 localities in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In particular, they launched one missile and three air strikes, attacked five times with drones, once with MLRS, and used artillery 101 times.

The russian army attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with S-300 missiles, and fired at the settlements of the Polohiv and Vasyliv Raions with aircraft, drones, multiple launch rocket systems and artillery. As a result, private houses in Zaporizhzhia were damaged, with broken windows and damaged roofs. No one was killed or injured.

Odesa Oblast
At night, the russian military fired 15 Shahed-131/136 drones at Odesa. Three of them hit the dormitories of one of the educational institutions in Odesa, causing a fire. No people were injured. 12 drones were destroyed by air defense forces and fire groups.

The tenth anniversary center for rescued people was opened in Odesa. Similar centers already operate in Kyiv, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Chernivtsi, Mukachevo, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Poltava. Their purpose is to provide social and psychological assistance to IDPs, people affected by military operations and armed conflicts, etc.
Kherson Oblast
On May 3, the russian army fired 98 times at Kherson Oblast with heavy artillery, tanks, Grads, drones, and aircraft. Kherson was shelled 16 times. 82 shells hit Pryvokzalna Square, the territory and buildings of the railway station, a gas station, a mall, and a supermarket, a factory and a car repair shop, and the territory of a railway crossing.
Two people wounded during the shelling of the "ATB" store in Kherson by russian troops died in intensive care. One of them is a doctor.
On May 4, 5, and 6, Kherson Oblast declared days of mourning for those killed in the russian shelling on May 3.
Over the past day, russian troops shelled the territory of five communities in Beryslav Raion. Beryslav and the surrounding settlements were left without electricity. No one was killed or injured.
Russian aviation dropped guided bombs on the village of Kizomys. They also shelled Beryslav from the air. They hit near the regional hospital. Two people were wounded.
Six fires broke out in Kherson yesterday due to shelling by russian troops. A passenger train car at the railway station, warehouses on the territory of a factory, buildings of an idle enterprise, and residential buildings were on fire. The fires were extinguished by 61 rescuers and 12 vehicles.
The Kherson Regional Military Administration is developing emergency evacuation routes for residents of the right bank in case of increased shelling by russian troops. There is no talk of forced evacuation.

Kirovohrad Oblast
Attack aircraft of the 121st separate territorial defense brigade together with naval aviation units underwent training. During the training, the assault troops practiced loading and placing personnel in a helicopter, landing, moving to a designated object, and capturing the target.
SBU officers in the Kirovohrad Oblast exposed residents of Kropyvnytskyi and Oleksandriia who were justifying the crimes of the occupiers on social media. Thus, the suspects disseminated materials on their pages of the banned social network ''Odnoklassniki'', which justified russian war crimes, including the shelling of Ukrainian cities.
In the Pomichna community of the Novoukrainsky Raion, a charity fair was held in the territory of a shopping center, with the participation of all educational institutions and institutions of the community. They managed to raise a record amount of UAH 47,495. The funds were unanimously decided to be used to buy fabric and bases for camouflage nets for the defenders.

A schoolboy from Talne raised 10 thousand hryvnias for the Armed Forces on his birthday. Nazar Turchak, an 8-year-old, memorized a poem, recorded it on video, and posted it on social media. The amount was transferred to the birthday boy in just a day. The boy handed the money over to the volunteers. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, he has raised about 30,000 hryvnias for the defenders at charity concerts.
Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts
Enemy artillery shelled Nikopol. At night, the russian military attacked the city again using drones. During the day, an 87-year-old woman sought medical help, and a 32-year-old local resident was wounded in the night attack. Two outbuildings were destroyed, more than 14 private houses and 9 outbuildings were damaged. Debris smashed 2 cars, 22 solar panels, cut power lines and damaged gas pipelines. An industrial enterprise was destroyed.

The Pavlohrad City Council has allocated UAH 9 million to help those affected by the rocket attacks on the night of May 1. Another UAH 3 million was allocated by the regional council. In the city, 24 high-rise buildings and 80 private estates were damaged. Two soldiers were killed in a russian strike on May 1.
In Dnipro, IDPs and wards of territorial centers can receive free hot meals. The initiative has been in place since January and is funded by the city budget. Every day, about 1700 IDPs receive meals in Dnipro.

Valeriy Zaluzhnyi honored a soldier from Poltava Oblast. Vitaliy Hrebinnik from the Velykorublivska community has been defending Ukraine since the first days of the Great War. The Commander-in-Chief awarded him the Golden Cross for his service. This award is given to soldiers who took command of a unit in the absence of an officer.
The SSU (Security Service of Ukraine) eliminated a network of bot farms with an audience of almost 200 thousand users. The criminals spread false reports about terrorist attacks in Ukrainian cities and "mining" of crowded facilities. As a result of a multi-stage special operation in different regions of Ukraine, 9 bot farms were neutralized and their organizers were exposed. Disinformation "centers" operated in Ternopil, Poltava, Cherkasy, Sumy, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Zakarpattia Oblasts.
The communist grave in the center of Poltava will be removed, depriving it of the status of a cultural heritage site. A petition for deregistration has now been sent to the Ministry of Culture. Chernivtsi Oblast
Last year, 132 people in Chernivtsi Oblast received grants to start/develop their own businesses under the eRobota program. As a result, almost 300 jobs were created.
Mobile medical teams started working in the mountain villages of Bukovyna last December, but have already examined almost 3,000 people. The project is implemented by the Chernivtsi Oblast organization of the Red Cross Society with the support of international donors. Specialists examine patients free of charge, dispense medicines, write referrals to narrow specialists, and can also help with transportation to a medical facility.
Six communities in Bukovyna received charitable assistance - 13 powerful generators from the American Howard Buffett Foundation. They will be used depending on individual needs at critical infrastructure facilities and social institutions.
A seventh-grader from the village of Drachyntsi in the Mamayiv community raised more than 60,000 hryvnias for the Armed Forces by performing songs with his guitar. Oleksandr Kostetskyi started his volunteer work last year. He travels to Chernivtsi on weekends to sing Ukrainian songs to passersby.
