Kyiv

On the night of May 7, an enemy reconnaissance UAV was detected in the airspace of Kyiv. The drone was destroyed by air defense forces and means. Previously, there was no information about victims or destruction.

Catherine Vinnik, a Canadian actress of Ukrainian origin, came to Kyiv to support the Ukrainians.

In Kyiv, the soviet coat of arms on the Motherland monument will be replaced by a trident. Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko said that work on this has already begun.

Chernihiv Oblast

On May 6 and on the night of May 7, the russians shelled six border villages of Semenivka and Novgorod-Siversk communities of Chernihiv Oblast with mortars.

Sumy Oblast

During May 6, the russians carried out 11 shelling of the border. 84 hits were recorded. The settlements of Velyka Pysarivka, Znob-Novgorodske, Esman, Nova Sloboda, Bilopillia and Myropillia communities came under fire.

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy shelled the front-line settlements of the Kharkiv, Chuguyiv and Kupyansk raions.

As a result of shelling in Vovchansk, Chuguyiv raion, a store building, a monument of the DOSAAF Aviation Center and several private residential buildings were damaged.

A private house was damaged by artillery shelling in the village of Dvorichna in the Kupyansk raion.

There were no casualties from shelling during the day.

Mine danger remains high in the Oblast. A tractor exploded on an unknown explosive device in a field near the village of Zatyshshia, Kharkiv raion. A 43-year-old man was injured and was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

Demining continues. During the day, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service examined 10 hectares of territory and neutralized 125 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

On May 6, the russians wounded 5 residents of Donetsk Oblast: in New York, Pivnichne, Avdiyivka, Krasnohorivka, and Maksymivka.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,497 civilians in Donetsk Oblast and injured another 3,481. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is still unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the middle of the night, the russians struck Druzhkivka with drones — 3 private houses were damaged, and there were no victims.

In the Lysychansk direction, an infrastructure facility in Siversk and 4 houses in Yampil of the Lyman community were damaged.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the morning, russian troops shelled Avdiyivka with «Hrads», tanks and tube artillery. Law enforcement officers also managed to find the body of a person who died from shelling on May 5.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy shelled the Kurakhove community twice with artillery — the shells landed in the private sector, and there were no casualties.

Bottled drinking water from NEW WAY was delivered to the village of Rubizhne, Novogrodivka community, Pokrovsk raion. Humanitarian aid was provided by the NEW WAY charitable foundation with the financial support of German Doctors as part of the project «Providing targeted multi-sectoral assistance to people affected by the war, including displaced persons, in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Oblasts».

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

Russian troops bombard Bakhmut with phosphorous ammunition. The video was shot in the evening of May 6 by the fighters of the 127th brigade of the local Territorial Defense Forces. As of the morning of May 7, the defense of the city continued.

Today, about 1,200 civilians remain in Bakhmut, including 17 children. Only the military can evacuate citizens. The occupiers are taking people from the uncontrolled part of the city to the filtration camps. Humanitarian aid is not brought to the city, but there are stocks of food and medicine. One doctor remains in Bakhmut. The infrastructure is almost completely destroyed. There is no electricity, heating, or water supply in the city, and communication is poor.

Over the past day, Chasiv Yar has been shelled 4 times — 8 buildings have been damaged. In the Toretsk community, 8 houses were destroyed and 2 people were injured: in New York and North. Also, the russian occupying forces destroyed the bridge leading to the Skhidniy microdistrict. It is no longer possible to drive there.

Volnovakha and Volnovasky raion

In the Volnovakha direction, a person was injured in Maksimivka of the Vugledarska hromada. The vicinity of Komar was attacked by Tornadoes seven times.

Luhansk Oblast

Yesterday, the russians shelled Stelmakhivka, Makiyivka, Nevske, and Bilogorivka.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast

On the night of May 7, the enemy launched a rocket attack on the Mykolaiv region.

The enemy attacked Olshany and Kostyantynivka communities with 5 X-22 missiles fired from Tu-22M3 strategic aircraft. The building of an industrial enterprise was damaged, and a hit was also recorded in an open area. Dry grass caught fire outside the enterprise, the fire was extinguished by units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Mykolaiv region. Other damage is being determined. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, the russian army attacked Kherson Oblast 51 times, Kherson — four times. They targeted the residential quarters of the populated areas of the region. Six people died, four were injured.

In the Kherson Oblast, pyrotechnicians came under fire during demining. Six of them died, two more, including a female paramedic, were treated for injuries. Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, May 6, the russian military shelled 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the temporarily occupied Tokmak, russian soldiers drive through the streets and call on people to evacuate through loudspeakers. The humanitarian crisis is also growing in the city. Currently, it is already difficult to buy bread.

The russians are evacuating the residents of the temporarily occupied Energodar. People with russian passports are subject to evacuation.

IAEA experts who are at the Zaporizhzhya NPP reported that the station's employees continue their work, but the situation is getting complicated.

In the temporarily occupied city of Energodar, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the russian military robbed the Elektropivdenmontazh-10 enterprise. Thus, not a single car was left on the territory of the enterprise, the warehouse was looted and machine tools were taken away.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts

On May 6, russian troops shelled Nikopol eight times. In total, seven people were injured. Five are in Nikopol, they are workers of an industrial enterprise. A 63-year-old woman was wounded in the Pokrovsk community, and a 43-year-old man was wounded in Myrivskyi. The lyceum building, private houses, farm buildings, cars, power grids were damaged.

On the night of May 7, russian troops shelled Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. A 72-year-old woman died, two others were injured. The college building, a three-story building, seven private houses, three farm buildings, a fence, cars, solar panels, a power line and gas pipelines were also damaged. 

On the night of May 7, air defense forces of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast shot down a russian drone in the sky over the Sinelnyky raion.

Power supply was restored in Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, after a rocket attack on the night of May 1.

Cherkasy Oblast

Among the 45 defenders of Mariupol released from russian captivity are five Cherkasy residents: Senior Lieutenant Artem Seredniak, Sergeant Major Serhii Kravets, soldiers Vadym Kytar, Ivan Pochynok, and Anton Shtukin.

In Cherkasy, the wives of the fallen defenders of the 118th Territorial Defense Brigade held a "Day of Support and Beauty" at a beauty salon. The masters organized self-care workshops for the participants to support the women who lost their loved ones.

Poltava Oblast

Memorial plaques were unveiled in Poltava Oblast for three defenders who died at the front last year. Ihor Andrushchenko, Dmytro Zadorozhniuk and Yaroslav Sinchenko died for Ukraine. Their memory was honored in their native school.

Four residents of Lubny Raion are suspected of illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition. During the searches, the police seized various weapons and grenades of various modifications, as well as cold steel weapons and more than 900 rounds of ammunition of various calibers. All the suspects were served suspicion notices.

In Chernivtsi, families of missing persons will be provided with free legal advice every Thursday at the center for rescued persons.

A mobile medical team will be set up at the Chernivtsi Regional Diagnostic Center. Starting in June, doctors from the medical center will travel to the communities, Chernivtsi Oblast, in an equipped car.
