Northern oblasts

Kyiv

European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson arrived in Kyiv. On her Twitter page, she noted that the purpose of the visit was to discuss common security.

The famous German stylist Frank Peter Wilde, who has been posting elevator photos in support of Ukraine every day for the past year, visited Kyiv. He came to the capital of Ukraine by train and expressed his admiration for the "iron men". He also assured that he would support Ukraine until its victory.

The Kyiv Oblast Military Administration (OMA) is considering the possibility of renovating municipally owned dormitories to make living conditions for internally displaced persons more comfortable. This issue was discussed during a meeting with representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Ukraine Karolina Lindholm Billing, Christian Langehenke, and Olena Tyshkevych.

German journalist Paul Ronzheimer of BILD was shown the main part of an enemy X-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missile shot down over Kyiv.


Kyiv Oblast

Today, explosive ordnance was disposed of in the Vyshhorod and Bucha raions.

More than 280 people are still considered missing after the de-occupation of the Kyiv Oblast.


Zhytomyr Oblast

Viktor Baida, a defender from Pulyny, received an honorary military award. He serves in the 43rd Detached Rifle Battalion. Among his comrades-in-arms, he has the call sign "Biden". While patrolling the local streets, he detained two russian women who were spotters for the enemy occupiers, for which he received a certificate from the head of the Zhytomyr Raion military institution.

The communities of the Zhytomyr Oblast have become a second home for more than 65,000 IDPs. Since the first days of the full-scale war, the oblast has been hosting IDPs from the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson and other regions. Among them are more than 18 thousand children and 399 large families, as well as almost 3 thousand people with disabilities. Since April of this year, six evacuation trains have arrived in the oblast, with a total of 197 IDPs from the Donetsk Oblast.

For two weeks, the entire city of Zhytomyr and the oblast have been collecting sweets for the military. Employees of the Zhytomyr City Council joined the campaign of the charitable organization "Together for Life". Soon, the sweet treats will be sent to the front line.


Chernihiv Oblast

On May 10, russians shelled the Semenivka and Novhorod-Siversk communities in the Chernihiv Oblast with mortars and helicopters. The shelling caused no damage to infrastructure or casualties among the local population.

In the morning, russians fired, supposedly, unguided air-launched missiles from a helicopter at the village of Krasnyi Khutir in the Novhorod-Siversk community. A total of four hits were recorded. There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.


Sumy Oblast

At night and in the morning of May 11, the russian military shelled four communities in the Sumy Oblast: Khotyn, Znob-Novhorodske, Bilopillia, and Yunakivka. Forty explosions were recorded. The shelling of the Znob-Novhorodske community destroyed a residential building, and damaged a shop and an agrarian lyceum.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, the enemy shelled settlements in the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, and Kupiansk raions of the oblast with artillery, mortars and aircraft.

As a result of the shelling of Vovchansk, Chuhuiv Raion, a 67-year-old man was killed, and at least 5 private residential buildings were damaged.

In the village of Fyholivka, Kupiansk Raion, a 49-year-old civilian man was wounded during a mortar attack and subsequently hospitalized. A private household was damaged.

Mine danger remains high in the oblast. This morning, a 44-year-old civilian hit a butterfly anti-personnel land mine in the town of Izium. He is now being treated by medics.

Mine clearance works are ongoing. Over the past day, the bomb squad of the State Emergency Service inspected almost 16 hectares of the territory and defused 80 explosive devices.


Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the russian occupation forces attacked 13 towns and villages in the Donetsk Oblast. Thirty civilian buildings and structures were damaged.

On May 10, three people were killed in the Donetsk Oblast: two in the town of Chasiv Yar and one in Novokalynove.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,501 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,488 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.


Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

The day before, russians shelled the Oleksandrivka community, which is relatively remote from the frontline, wounding 2 people and damaging the building of a former agricultural enterprise.

At night, russians once again launched a missile attack on Kostiantynivka from the S-300 system. 1 person was injured, and a cinema, an infrastructure facility and a private house were damaged.

On the morning of May 11, the russian army shelled Sloviansk, injuring a woman who later died in hospital. Her daughter was also wounded. As a result of the shelling, a private house caught fire, and several others were damaged. According to preliminary data, the russians fired S-300 missiles.

In the Lysychansk sector, 8 houses were damaged in Zvanivka, and shelling of Torske and Zarichne in the Lyman community was recorded.


Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of the Pokrovsk Raion, the Kurakhove community came under fire five times: Kurakhove, Hostre, and Ostrivske. There was no information about casualties and damage.

Marinka and Heorhiivka also came under fire.

Employees of the Avdiivka city military administration and members of the voluntary formation of the city territorial defense pleased the people of Avdiivka, who currently live in the village of Zhelanne of the Ocheretyne community. People received very essential everyday items as solar lanterns provided by UNICEF and the Red Cross, as well as food and hygiene kits from the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) organization and a food box from the TIM4UA Charitable Foundation.

A photo exhibition about the life of residents of the Pokrovsk community was opened in the city of Chervonohrad. The installation entitled "Exhibition about us" tells about the life and work of people associated with the city of Pokrovsk. This project is implemented thanks to the team of the Pokrovsk Historical Museum and the Charitable Foundation "Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Organization". The exhibition travels through the cities of Ukraine and is now presented in the Lviv Oblast.


Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

The enemy continues to advance in the city of Bakhmut. It carried out airstrikes in populated areas. Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Zalizne and New York of the Donetsk Oblast were affected by enemy shelling.

Seven houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community as a result of shelling by the russian military, and seven more in Toretsk.

In some parts of the front in the Bakhmut direction, due to the pressure of the Defense Forces, the russian troops retreated to a distance of up to two kilometers.

In Bakhmut, the Ukrainian military recorded the following losses in the russian federation: 203 soldiers were killed, 216 were wounded, and five were captured.


Mariupol

Occupants from the Espaniola volunteer battalion , which consists of football ultras, staged a shooting at the FC Mariupol stadium. They sang the Katiusha song on an abandoned field and staged a shooting there. The people of Mariupol were frightened, because they still cannot escape from the russian shelling of the city during the blockade.


Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, May 10, artillery shelling was recorded in the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

14-year-old Oleksandr Zgurskyi from the village of Novohrihorivka of the Mykolaiv Oblast, starred in a music video by the American band Imagine Dragons. The video material told the story of a boy who lost everything with his family due to the russian invasion.


Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, May 10, the russian military shelled 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. In particular, three air strikes and one missile strike were carried out, five times there were attacks with MLRS, one with a UAV, and 60 times artillery was used. Also, one UAV of the Shahed-136 type was destroyed in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the late evening of May 10, the russian army launched a massive missile attack on the Zaporizhzhia Raion. Eight people were injured. 

Today, May 11, russian troops carried out four airstrikes on the Preobrazhenka community. Information about the victims is being clarified. 

Residents of temporarily occupied Tokmak of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, who were "evacuated" by the occupying authorities to Berdiansk, complain about living conditions. Yes, the russians placed them in a room without windows, lighting, warm water and furniture. The occupiers also forbade the "evacuated" citizens to return to Tokmak for an indefinite period.

In the Zaporizhzhia Raion, a serviceman using the call sign "Did" (Grandpa) shot down a russian shaheed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle. For the downing of the UAV he received the "Cross of the Brave" medal from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.


Odesa Oblast

In the Black Sea, the number of russian missile carriers has decreased to two. Their total volley is up to 16 Calibers. In total, eight russian ships are on combat duty.


Kherson Oblast

During May 10, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 90 times, the city of Kherson — ten times. The shells were aimed at residential quarters and the territory of the plant. One person died, another was injured.

A 31-year-old man was blown up by a russian mine near the village of Shyroka Balka in the Kherson Oblast. The circumstances and condition of the victim are currently being investigated.

To clear the territory of the Kherson Oblast from mines and projectiles left by the russian troops, the National Guard of Ukraine will begin to use a complex of remote demining. The largest number of demining groups of the National Guard works in the Kherson Oblast. In a little more than a month, they surveyed more than 800 hectares of land.

Russian troops loot a hospital in the temporarily occupied Hola Prystan. They take out furniture, equipment and appliances, pull out sockets from the walls.

The so-called "chief engineer" of the railway connection will be tried in the Kherson Oblast. He cooperated with the occupation authorities and called on the citizens to participate in the pseudo-referendum. He faces up to ten years in prison.

President Zelensky created two more military administrations in the Kherson Oblast — the Vynohradove village and Skadovsk city ones.

Installation of four underground shelters is being completed in Komyshany of the Kherson community. One ground-based one is already working. 


Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of May 11, russian troops shelled the city of Nikopol. 3 private residential buildings, 4 farm buildings, a car and power lines were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.

At night, a mobile group of the National Guard destroyed a russian unmanned aerial vehicle over the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. It was carrying explosives. This drone of the russian army was also intended for reconnaissance.

The Security Service of Ukraine reported the suspicion to Oleh Tsarov, a former People's Deputy from the "Party of Regions". He is suspected of passing on information about the consequences of airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine to the aggressor country.


Kirovohrad Oblast

Another group housing for internally displaced persons is being set up in the Petrove community. Since the beginning of the war, many IDPs have found shelter in the community, everything necessary for such people is available here. And soon there will be additional square meters for living.

On the territory of the Kirovohrad Oblast Clinical Hospital, a physical culture and health event "Strength of the Indomitable" was held among military personnel and combatants. About 30 servicemen-patients of the hospital took part in various sports competitions, such as darts, arm wrestling, table hockey, pull-ups, checkers and bowling.


Poltava Oblast

In the Poltava Oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed suppliers of equipment for russian military enterprises. According to the investigation, the men organized the illegal supply to russia of components that could be used for the production of S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems and energy protection systems at naval facilities. Suspects were handed over to the manager of a local diamond tool manufacturer and an entrepreneur who has a controlled business in russia.


Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

In the Rivne Oblast, a mine exploded on a tractor that drove into a prohibited area. One man died.

The historical reconstruction park "Ostvytsia" in Rivne has announced the recruitment of internally displaced children to the summer camp "School of Ancient Crafts". This is a free day summer camp with archaeology, crafts, archery and woodcarving in the program. 20 children and adolescents will be chosen for the camp.


Zakarpattia Oblast

A monument to a soviet soldier was dismantled in the village of Rakoshyno in the Zakarpattia Oblast. In total, there are about seventy objects in the oblast that still need to be dismantled.

The international scientific and practical conference "Czechs, Slovaks and Ukrainians in historical, social and cultural turning points" is being held in Uzhhorod. The purpose of the event is to get acquainted with modern achievements and highlight the results of scientific research on the history, archeology, culture and foreign policy of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.

Operation "Zhuzha". An internally displaced family found and returned their cat from occupied Mariupol. Having found themselves in the Zakarpattia Oblast and finding temporary housing, Eduard Zarubin, his wife and their son began the search for their pet. Within a few months, the animal was returned to the family.
