An exhibition with photo portraits of immigrants from Mariupol is underway at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine. According to the creators of the project, the exhibition shows how the destruction of the city by the russian invaders affected the fate of its inhabitants. The exhibition in Kyiv will last until May 31.

On May 16, a forum-workshop "Reconstruction in Action" was held in Kyiv. Sumy Oblast

Kharkiv Oblast

According to official data, over the past month, the enemy fired more than 140 times at Kharkiv Oblast. Among them, 24 attacks were missile attacks.

Over the past day, the enemy fired at least 24 settlements in Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium Raions.

Budarky, Vilshana, Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, and Tabaivka were hit by enemy air strikes, while Kozacha Lopan, Nesterne, Staritsa, Dvorichanske, Kamianka, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Vovchansk, and other localities came under artillery and mortar fire.

A civilian man of 50 years old died as a result of the shelling of Kupiansk.

In the village of Bohuslavka, Izium Raion, at least 3 private houses, outbuildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged by enemy shelling.

Yesterday, the occupants again tried to attack in the direction of Masiutivka, but were rebuffed by our defenders and retreated with losses.

Mine clearance works continue in the region. Over the past day, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service examined almost 8 hectares of territory and neutralized 130 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

On May 16, russians killed 1 resident of Donetsk Oblast - in Kurakhove. In addition, the bodies of 4 people killed during the occupation were exhumed in Sviatohirsk. Another 7 people were injured in the region.

In total, since February 24, 2022, russian weapons have claimed the lives of 1519 civilians in Donetsk Oblast and injured 3538 others. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

The bodies of four residents who died during the occupation were exhumed in Sviatohirsk.

In the Horlivka sector, 1 person was wounded in Kostyantynivka and 2 infrastructure facilities were damaged.

In the Lysychansk sector, russians fired 17 times at the outskirts of the Lyman community, causing no casualties.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops shelled 16 localities in Zaporizhzhia Oblast: 81 times with artillery and one air strike, two times with MLRS, and four times with a drone. Three men were wounded.

Russian troops again shelled one of the medical facilities in Beryslav. The central building, planned operating room, walls were damaged and about 60 windows were broken. At the time of the shelling, there were employees and patients in the Beryslav hospital. No one was hurt.

As of the morning of May 17, 100 children were injured in the Kherson Oblast as a result of russia's armed aggression. A total of 481 children have died and more than 977 have been injured in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Myrove and Chervonogrygorivka communities of the Nikopol raion were under the enemy's crosshairs. 5 private residential buildings, 4 farm buildings, 2 solar panels, 1 fence, 1 power line, and 1 gas pipeline were damaged in the Myrove community. The occupiers dropped ammunition from a drone over Chervonogrygorivka community. As a result, a private enterprise was damaged.

The box is from the «Kryla» charitable foundation. We will remind you that the unique art object was erected in the region for the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine. According to the plan of the organizers, this object should become a symbol of the spirit and strength of our state.

Chernivtsi Oblast
