Kyiv

On May 18, the Kyiv City Council de-russified 26 city objects. In particular, the metro station «Druzhby narodiv» was renamed to «Zvirynetska» station, the «Lev Tolstoy Square» station to «Ukrainian Heroes Square», the «Prospekt Pravdy» metro station project to «Varshavska» station. A number of streets and alleys in different districts of the capital were also renamed. In total, 314 city objects have already received new names in the capital.
Kyiv Oblast
Explosive objects were destroyed today in Bucha and Vyshgorod raions.
In the Kyiv Oblast, the restoration of high-rise buildings has started as part of the UNITED24 fundraising platform. We are talking about 3 out of 18 buildings in Oblast that were damaged by the russian invaders. These are objects in the settlements of Myla, Buzova and Gostomel. The UNITED24 global project was created at the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Its purpose is to unite people from all over the world in their desire to help our country.
Sumy Oblast
During the past day, the russian military shelled Sumy Oblast 10 times. Settlements of Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Myropil, Esman and Krasnopillia communities came under fire. A total of 62 explosions were recorded. As a result of enemy shelling of the village of Studenok, Sumy Oblast, a private residential building, an outbuilding, a tractor, and a field sprayer were damaged. Two civilians were injured.

Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Over the past day, the occupiers shelled at least 17 settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupyansk and Chuguyiv raions of the Oblast.
A 52-year-old civilian man was killed as a result of a missile strike on the village of Tsirkuny, and 2 more men, aged 41 and 57, were injured. In the village, 2 private houses were destroyed, and 13 more houses were damaged.

In the village of Teshenkivka, Kupyansk raion, buildings, property and farm machinery were damaged as a result of shelling from multiple rocket launchers.
Residential buildings, a fence and a civil infrastructure object were damaged in Vovchansk, Chuguyiv raion.
Forest fires occurred in the villages of Starytsia and Perkivka of the Chuguyiv raion due to enemy shelling.
Over the past day, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service inspected more than 8 hectares of territory and neutralized 183 explosive objects.
Donetsk Oblast
The program of support for war veterans was presented today during a working trip to Donetsk Oblast by the Minister of Veterans' Affairs, Yulia Laputina. It is based on the physical and psychological recovery of war veterans, creating new life and career opportunities for them. This work will take place not only at the central level, but also at the local level.
On May 18, shelling by the russian army in Kostyantynivka and Velyka Novosilka killed two people, and nine more residents of Donetsk Oblast were injured.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, 1,523 people have died in Donetsk Oblast, and 3,552 people have been injured. It is impossible to establish the exact number of dead and wounded in Volnovakha and Mariupol.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

Using “Smerch”, the russians attacked Ukrainsk of Selydove community — they injured 2 people, damaged 14 private houses and 13 two-story buildings. During the day, Avdiyivka was bombarded by «Grads», artillery and tanks. From the artillery, the enemy fired at Mariyinka, Georgiivka and Ocheretyne community.
At around two o'clock in the morning, Pokrovsk was attacked by Geran drones, as a result of which warehouses were damaged. There were no casualties. Within two hours, specialists of the State Emergency Service extinguished the fire that broke out at the scene of the emergency. The roofs of several private houses of residents of Pokrovsk and power lines were damaged.
This afternoon, the russian army carried out an airstrike on Avdiyivka, as a result of the hit of the ammunition, the resin storage warehouse of the Avdiyivka Coke Plant caught fire. The fire was extinguished, there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
On May 18, russian occupation forces dropped a FAB-250 bomb on Toretsk, injuring two people. Another 16 settlements in Donetsk Oblast were also under fire.

In the Horlivka sector, the Toretsk community came under numerous attacks. In Toretsk, 2 people were wounded, 5 hospital buildings, a multi-storey building and 8 retail outlets were damaged. Another building was damaged in New York. In the Chasiv Yar community, 4 private houses were damaged.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday and today, the enemy fired artillery at the waters of the Ochakiv community. There were no destructions or casualties.
Also last night, an agricultural enterprise in one of the settlements of the Stepivska community came under enemy fire. As a result, the company's equipment and building were damaged. In addition, the blast wave damaged educational institution and private houses. There were no casualties.
In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk, and Bashtanka Raionss, the day and night were relatively calm.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Over the past day, on May 18, russian troops fired at 16 localities in Zaporizhzhia Oblast: They used artillery 70 times, attacked four times with multiple rocket launchers, and conducted one air strike. A 57-year-old resident of Huliaypole was injured as a result of the shelling.
Odesa Oblast
The defenders of Zmiine, border guards Yevhen Konovka, Andriy Vladychenko, and Mykyta Zhurian, who returned from russian captivity, received the Order of Courage, III class.
The city authorities, together with representatives of veterans and religious organizations, decided to install unified tombstones on the graves of fallen soldiers. Kherson Oblast
On May 18, the russian army fired 57 times at Kherson Oblast with heavy artillery, Grad rockets, tanks, UAVs and aircraft. Kherson was shelled twice. Shells hit two medical facilities and a cultural institution in the regional center. Two people were wounded.
Yesterday, the russian army shelled six communities in Beryslav Raion. A gas station, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. No one was killed or injured.
During the day, the russian military shelled summer cottages in the Daria community. A 72-year-old local resident sustained a mine-blast injury and died in hospital.
On the night of May 19, russian troops shelled Korabel neighborhood and Stepanivka. In total, they fired twice at the territory of the Kherson community during the day, firing 11 shells. One person was wounded.
On May 18, defense forces destroyed six self-propelled artillery systems of the russian federation's "Gvozdika" troops and the "Murom" observation complex on the left bank of the Kherson Oblast. An "Orlan" drone was also shot down.
Over the past day, SES pyrotechnics defused 113 explosive devices in the de-occupied settlements of Kherson Oblast. They inspected more than 5 hectares of territory, half a kilometer of gas pipeline, and more than 4 kilometers of power grids.

A 45-year-old man was injured, he is in a stable condition. They also fired at the fire department.

The Klevan hospital for veterans continues to be developed in the Rivne Oblast. The Rehabilitation Center for patients with spinal injuries will operate here. There are plans to build the third building of the medical facility. After all, military personnel from all over Ukraine are rehabilitated there.
A charity fair was held in Kindergarten No. 31 of the city of Rivne. With the joint efforts of parents, children and the staff of the institution, it was possible to collect more than 16,600 hryvnias. All proceeds were transferred to the purchase of a drone for aerial reconnaissance.
