Northern oblasts

Kyiv

On the night of May 26, russians attacked Kyiv again. All enemy targets in Kyiv's airspace were identified and destroyed! As a result of falling debris in the Obolon district, the roof of one of the shopping and entertainment centers was damaged, without fire or critical damage. Some fragments fell directly on the territory of the mall. Also, cars were damaged in the parking lot in another part of the district. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a piece of debris fell on a private house, damaging the roof and a window.

An installation dedicated to the serviceman with the call sign "Da Vinci" appeared in the Pechersk district. The panel can be seen on the slope near the Druzhby Narodiv metro station.

Last year, there was an installation at this place, created in honor of the special forces unit "Azov".

Kyiv Oblast

In the Kyiv Oblast, 7 private houses were damaged in two communities as a result of falling debris from downed aerial targets. The damage is minor: roofs, interior and exterior decoration of facades, and broken walls. Residents whose houses were damaged will be provided with all necessary assistance.

Explosive ordnance was disposed of in the Vyshhorod Raion today.

In Dmytrivka, ammunition and an automatic assault rifle of the occupiers were found. A villager found the weapons in her vegetable garden. Two pieces of ammunition were damaged but not destroyed, plus a part of the third piece. On the same day, an enemy submachine gun was found in the forest. The police of the Kyiv Oblast secured the scene and called the State Emergency Service.

The network of "Safety Classes" is being expanded in the Kyiv Oblast. Two lyceums of the Hatne territorial community in the Fastiv Raion opened such classes as part of the All-Ukrainian project "Safety Class". The classrooms are equipped with the necessary materials, visual aids and technical equipment, rescuers’ protective clothing and equipment, samples of explosive devices, and interesting interactive materials. This will allow students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge of the basics of fire and mine safety, civil defense, and traffic rules in a playful way in practice.

In Irpin, near the Irpinski Lypky residential complex, a comprehensive restoration of private houses that were damaged or destroyed as a result of russian aggression has started.

Zhytomyr Oblast

The Coordination Center hosted a meeting with the families of fighters of the 95th Detached Airborne Assault Brigade, which is part of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Representatives of the Center, the National Police, and the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons answered questions about the search for and return of the bodies of the fallen paratroopers.

To date, more than 1,800 buildings and facilities have been restored in the Zhytomyr Oblast. Currently, with funding from all available sources, it is planned to start implementing approximately 15 relevant projects in the oblast. 10 communities in the Zhytomyr Oblast will develop local economic development programs that will serve as the basis for decision-making in the implementation of reconstruction projects.

Chernihiv Oblast

On the night of May 26, russians shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast with mortars. Border guards recorded two explosions near the village of Senkivka. In total, six shelling attacks from various types of weapons were recorded in the Chernihiv Oblast over the course of the day.

Sumy Oblast

On May 25, the russian military shelled the Khotyn, Yunakivka, Nova Sloboda, Putyvl, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, and Shalyhyne communities in the Sumy Oblast. A total of 57 explosions were recorded. 

At night and in the morning of May 26, the Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Velyka Pysarivka, and Shalyhyne communities in the Sumy Oblast were shelled from the territory of russia. 

In May, 11 people were killed and another 32 were wounded in the Sumy Oblast as a result of russian shelling.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Last night, the enemy attacked Merefa, Kharkiv Raion, and Izium with Shahed UAVs.

In Merefa, a civilian enterprise was damaged and a fire broke out. In Izium, the building of an educational institution and a garage with agricultural machinery were damaged; there were fire, too. According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the night strikes by Shaheds.

Over the past day, the enemy shelled the settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and Chuhuiv raions.

In Vovchansk, Chuhuiv Raion, 2 residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.

The shelling of the village of Mala Vovcha, Chuhuiv Raion, damaged 4 private houses and outbuildings, and started a fire.

A private residential building was damaged in the village of Tsyrkuny, Kharkiv Raion.

As a result of shelling in Kupiansk, a house and a garage were damaged.

In the village of Protopopivka, Balaklia community, Izium Raion, two men faced the consequences of improperly handling unknown explosive device. A 39-year-old man who was carrying a suspicious item in the sidecar of a motorcycle died on the spot. A 45-year-old man who was next to him was injured and hospitalized in moderate condition.

Donetsk Oblast

On May 25, the russian army shelled 7 cities and towns in the Donetsk Oblast. A total of 15 civilian buildings and structures were damaged, and a dam was destroyed.

On May 25, the russians killed 1 resident of the Donetsk Oblast — in Krasnohorivka. One more person in the oblast was wounded.

In total, since February 24, 2022, russian weapons have taken the lives of 1,553 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,591 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Horlivka direction, four high-rise buildings were damaged in Kostiantynivka, and a private house was damaged in Pleshchiivka of the Illinivka community.

In the Lysychansk direction, Siversk and Dronivka came under fire. Shelling of Torske and Zarichne i the Lyman community was recorded.

Since noon, the russian army has been shelling Kostiantynivka. Details are being clarified.

A weekly meeting on housing and communal services was held in Kramatorsk. For 456 days, Kramatorsk utility workers, under martial law, have been eliminating the consequences of russian attacks on critical civilian infrastructure, performing emergency repairs, and maintaining networks and communications. In addition, the improvement of the city continues.

 

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

The day before, the russians targeted the dam of the Karlivskyi reservoir, as a result of which six settlements, home to 981 people, were at risk of flooding. In the village of Halytsynivka, 26 people were evacuated, including 8 children. Six households were flooded in the village. Public transportation in the community works. 

In the Donetsk direction, shelling of Marinka and Heorhiivka continued throughout the night. One person died in Krasnohorivka. Kurakhove came under fire twice. At least two private houses and one 2-story building were damaged.

This afternoon, the russian military launched a missile attack on the center of Avdiivka. A cruise missile hit a high-rise building.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions in the Bakhmut area during the day. 13 settlements of the Donetsk Oblast were affected by enemy shelling.

Five private houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community. Three houses and the building of an enterprise in New York were damaged in the Toretsk community.

This morning, the russians dropped a FAB-250 bomb on New York. One person was injured, three high-rise buildings, a nursery school, an infirmary, a movie theater and a gym were damaged.

Volnovakha ans Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha direction, the russians shelled Shakhtarske of Velika Novosilka community. Three houses were damaged.

Southern oblasts

Mykolai Oblast

On May 26, air defense forces destroyed two enemy attack UAVs "Shahed-131/136" in the Mykolaiv Oblast.

On May 25, Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community was hit by enemy artillery fire. As a result, a three-story residential building, utility buildings caught fire, residential buildings and communications to them were damaged. There are no casualties.

In the afternoon, May 25, the enemy made artillery strikes on the settlement of the Kutsurub community. The hit was recorded in an open area. There are no casualties.

The enemy also carried out artillery strikes on the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties. 

On the night of May 26, enemy shelling was recorded outside the settlement of Pervomaisk community. There were no damages or injuries.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtansk raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, May 25, the russian military shelled 17 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast: five times they attacked from aviation, three times from drones, twice from MLRS and used artillery 92 times. Civilian facilities were destroyed.

Two women were injured as a result of shelling by the russian military in the city of Huliaipole of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Residential buildings and commercial buildings were destroyed.

The occupiers do not allow the residents of Berdiansk in Zaporizhzhia to shelter during the explosions. The russians use them themselves, fearing a counteroffensive by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

On May 25, around midnight, six explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk. According to preliminary information, Ukrainian defenders hit warehouses with ammunition and fuel. There are also losses among the military personnel of the russian federation.

In Zaporizhzhia, the hub for displaced persons "Berdiansk — its own for its own" has been operating for a year. On its base, you can get legal services, find a job, do laundry and get your hair done for free.

Odessa Oblast 

Due to the bad weather yesterday, five trees fell in Odesa. By the morning utility workers eliminated emergency situations.

In the village of Pershotravneve in Odesa, the hammer and sickle and the inscription "comintern" were dismantled.

A job fair for immigrants from the Kherson Oblast was held in Odesa. In the job market of the Kherson Oblast, there is a need for emergency service workers, nurses, construction workers, accountants.

Kherson Oblast

Over the past day, the russian army attacked the Kherson Oblast 62 times with mortars, artillery, tanks, drones and aircraft. There are 11 settlements in total. Shells hit residential quarters, a farm in Novoberyslav, an elevator in Zolota Balka, and a cottage cooperative. There are no dead or injured.

During the past day, the russian army shelled the Kherson community eight times. Launched 26 shells in the Antonivka, Suvorovsky and Korabelny districts of the city.

Yesterday, around noon, the russian army attacked Novoberyslav with guided air missiles. The warehouses and machinery of the agricultural enterprise were damaged. One of the projectiles hit the country cooperative, where about eight houses and cars were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

The occupiers stationed about 300 russian servicemen and 15 foreign-made boats on Dzharylgach Island. These watercraft were stolen from the local population.

In the Kalynivka community, a tractor blew up on a russian mine during field work. The 40-year-old driver was not injured, the tractor was damaged.

Pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service defused 83 explosive objects in the de-occupied settlements of the Kherson Oblast during the day. More than six hectares of territory and almost four kilometers of power lines were surveyed.

 

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of May 26, the russian army fired missiles and drones at the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Two houses, a car, and a gas station were damaged in Dnipro. An employee was injured. The transport company also suffered serious damage. Air defense shot down five cruise missiles and six "Shahed"-type drones over the oblast.

The enemy attacked Nikopol. 7 private residential buildings, 7 farm buildings, 1 passenger car, 3 power lines, 4 gas pipelines, and 1 solar power plant were damaged.

In the morning, the russians launched a rocket attack on a hospital in Dnipro. As of 5:00 p.m., 3 people were killed, 30 residents were injured, including two children. 11 people were hospitalized. 3 people are missing. The boiler room and two heat distribution points were damaged. The Dnipro Athletics stadium was damaged, with 250 windows broken and doors ripped out. 3 schools, 2 kindergartens, a railway lyceum, residential buildings and cars were damaged. The fire also damaged the veterinary clinic, and animals were burned there.

A 47-year-old man from Kryvyi Rih, senior sergeant Oleksandr Danylenko, returned from russian captivity. The man fought in the Bakhmut direction.

Voluntary fire and rescue teams are formed by the State Emergency Service, which can be joined by all willing residents of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Volunteer emergency workers will help with equipment and training.

Kirovohrad Oblast

The defender from the Pryiutivka community in the Oleksandria Raion, was awarded the "Golden Cross" award by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi. Volodymyr Kuzmenko received an honorary award for conscientious and successful performance of combat tasks and for heroic deeds in the war.

On the facade of the "Erudite" gymnasium in Kropyvnytskyi, a commemorative plaque of the deceased hospitalist Natalia Frauscher with the call sign "Austrian" was unveiled. Natalia graduated from the gymnasium with a gold medal. She worked as a dentist. In 2014-2015, she rescued the wounded in Donbas. The hospitalist died in June 2022 during the evacuation of wounded soldiers. 

In Kropyvnytskyi, specialists of the communal enterprise "Blahoustriy" ["Public welfare"] created a patriotic flower bed "Glory to Heroes" in Kovalevskyi Park. A flower bed was arranged near the memorial to the servicemen of the 3rd special forces regiment named after Prince Svyatoslav the Brave, who died in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in 2014-2018. An embroidered pattern was created from the flowers.  

Cherkasy Oblast

An air alert lasted almost all night in the Cherkasy Oblast. At dawn, air defense forces shot down the "Shahed" drone in the sky over Cherkasy. There were no casualties or damage.

A resident of Cherkasy, who defended the country in the direction of Bakhmut, returned home from enemy captivity. Sergeant Mykola Boiarchuk was considered missing since February.

Poltava Oblast

Serhii Mishchenko from the Poltava Oblast is now a full Knight of the Order "For Courage". Unfortunately, posthumously. Five of his six children received the father's award. Chief Sergeant Serhii Mishchenko was called "Tank Destroyer". He destroyed more than 30 units of russian equipment, including 4 tanks.

A relocated machine-building enterprise from the Kharkiv Oblast has been operating in the Poltava Oblast for almost a year. After enemy shelling of Derhachi, the leadership decided to move the team and equipment to a safer place. More than 50 trucks were used for this. At the new location, a full production cycle was established. The enterprise in Kremenchuk currently employs 110 people. In total, the Poltava Oblast hosted about 50 businesses.

In Poltava, it is planned to start resettling internally displaced people in a modular town from next week. Currently, improvement works are being completed on its territory. As of today, 397 people have submitted applications for settlement. 40 of them are children.

From now on, 100% of school shelters in the Poltava Oblast are equipped with the Internet. Today, routers were handed over to 366 schools in 54 communities. These devices will help cover all shelters with the Internet network in general secondary education institutions. The routers were received as part of the cooperation of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine with Nokia Corporation and with the assistance of the "Kolishchata" public organization.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

Among those released from russian captivity on May 25, 2023, there are three residents of the Rivne Oblast. All three were officially considered missing under special circumstances. Oleksii Zabrodin is from Varash, Oleksandr Zahorskyi - from Rivne, and Andrii Kharchuk - from the village of Osova, the Rivne Oblast.  

Training of military personnel was organized in the Rivne Oblast. Servicemen improved their engineering and sapper skills. In particular, they practiced detecting mine wires, sensors and traps, disarming grenades and mines. A wooded area in the Rivne Oblast was chosen for the sapper training.

In the Rivne Oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police exposed a man who spread russian propaganda, campaigned for the revival of the USSR and supported the ideology of the collaborator Kirill Stremousov. He faces a sentence of five to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.

Rivne law enforcement officers collected funds for the military during football matches. Each team of law enforcement officers handed over a charitable contribution of UAH 3,000. As a result, they received UAH 21,000.  

 

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna defenders, residents of the Vyzhnytsia community Oleksandr Palii and Yaroslav Kitsul returned from enemy captivity.

Vitalii Isaienko, a resident of the village of Luzhany, the Mamaivtsi community, was awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".

In the Chernivtsi Oblast, a law enforcement officer is suspected of selling information about the location of patrols on the state border. According to the investigation, this information was used to cross the Romanian border with contraband or transfer men of draft age.

Children from the village of Dovhopillia of the Koniatyn community raised UAH 10,000 for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by their own efforts in a week. As a sign of gratitude, military personnel from the "Artan" special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate handed over a flag to the children.

Medical institutions of Bukovyna received household appliances from benefactors. Thanks to the Chernivtsi Oblast Organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, 5 refrigerators, 3 washer-dryers and 4 gas stoves appeared in the emergency hospital. Volunteers also handed over household appliances to the trauma department of the oblast hospital. 

Reading with a tailed friend: the children's library in Chernivtsi held classes on canister therapy. The goal is to encourage reading and to teach the proper treatment of animals.

Zakarpattia Oblast 

Seven soldiers from the Zakarpattia Oblast were returned from russian captivity. Six of them were considered missing. About the seventh, Mykhailo Tanchynets, it was Learned  two days before his release that he was in captivity.

In Mukachevo, schoolchildren collect a million hryvnias for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They hold charity events, fairs, and support defenders with their creativity. All schools of the city and the Center for Children's and Youth Creativity take part in the "Million for the Armed Forces" marathon. The action was organized by the Mukachevo high school student council.
