Northern oblasts

Kyiv

On the night of May 28, russians carried out another attack on Kyiv. A 35-year-old woman was hospitalized as a result of the fall of UAV wreckage in the Solomianskyi district of the capital near a gas station. Besides, a 41-year-old man was killed. In the same area, UAV debris hit a 7-story non-residential building, destroying part of the wall and starting a fire on the 3rd floor.

A fire broke out on the roof of a 9-story building in the Pechersk district.

Rescuers also extinguished a fire at an enterprise in the Holosiivskyi district. According to preliminary information, more than 40 UAVs were destroyed over Kyiv. The attack took place in multiple waves. The russians used unconventional routes to bypass air defense in southern Ukraine and reach Kyiv.

The Protasiv Yar festival in memory of Roman Ratushnyi was opened in Kyiv. The festival will last from May 27 to September 3. The organizers announced monthly art events: concerts, lectures, film screenings, and guided tours. As part of the events, funds will be raised to support the defenders of Ukraine.

Kyiv Oblast

In Irpin, they began to restore private houses destroyed as a result of the war. These are the houses located at the intersection of Bahirova Street and Hostomel Highway.

Zhytomyr Oblast

During the air raid, the russian army attacked an infrastructure facility in the Zhytomyr Oblast. According to preliminary information, more than two dozen buildings were damaged. Mostly, these are common areas of multi-apartment buildings - stairwells, where glass was smashed. There were no casualties or injuries.

Students, parents and teachers of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 24 donated a car to the servicemen of the 28th Brigade, raising 350,000 hryvnias to buy it. More than three thousand people joined in the fundraising.

Historian and politician Volodymyr Viatrovych presented two of his books in Zhytomyr: "UPA. History of the Unconquered" and "Our Centennial". They are about de-russification, propaganda of the "russian world", and irreversible changes in Ukrainian society.

Chernihiv Oblast

On the night of May 28, border guards shot down a russian Shahed in the sky over the Chernihiv Oblast. Ukrainian fighters opened fire with small arms and other available munitions. The drone exploded and fell in a field, not reaching its intended target.

On May 27, russians shelled the village of Zaliznyi Mist of the Semenivka territorial community with tube artillery. As a result of the shelling, five residential buildings and a power line were damaged. More than 1,000 customers in seven settlements of the Novhorod-Siversk Raion remained without electricity.

On May 28, three border villages in the Chernihiv Oblast came under russian shelling. There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.

Sumy Oblast

On May 27, russians fired 18 times at the territory of the Sumy Oblast. 88 explosions were recorded in the Velyka Pysarivka, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Khotyn, Bilopillia, and Krasnopillia communities. According to preliminary information, there were no injuries or damages.

At night and in the morning of May 28, russians shelled the Seredyna-Buda, Svesa, Shalyhyne, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, and Krasnopillia communities. In Krasnopillia, 11 private households and a power line were damaged by a guided aerial bomb.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

During the day, the occupiers attacked the border settlements of the Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, and Kupiansk raions of the Kharkiv Oblast.

The enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Kyslivka. Also, the villages of Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Fykholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove came under artillery and mortar fire.

Vovchansk and its outskirts came under intense shelling. Residential buildings, fences, outbuildings, windows of the House of Culture, and the administrative building of the village council were damaged.

A 61-year-old woman was killed and a 60-year-old man was wounded in the village of Shepuvate, Kupiansk Raion, as a result of shelling.

A 60-year-old man who was in the yard of his house was killed as a result of shelling in Dvorichna, Kupiansk Raion.

As a result of the shelling of the village of Fyholivka, a 58-year-old woman was wounded, her condition is moderately severe. A 79-year-old woman sustained shrapnel wounds as a result of enemy shelling near the village of Tsyrkuny.

Donetsk Oblast

On May 27, the russian military shelled 12 populated areas of the Donetsk Oblast with aircraft, Iskander, artillery, mortars, and tanks.

In the Donetsk Oblast, on May 27, one person died in Kostiantynivka, and three residents were injured in Kurakhovo and Chervone.

Since February 24, the russians have killed 1,534 civilians of Donetsk the region, and wounded another 3,599. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction, two people were injured in Kurakhovo yesterday, and a private house was damaged. On the territory of the community, Ostrivske was also under fire. Four houses were damaged.

At night, the russian military launched massive artillery fire on Avdiivka, and also hit the center and old parts of the city. There are no dead or injured. Volunteers were hit by an air strike yesterday. Also, under the rubble of destroyed multi-apartment buildings in the city, there are people who cannot be reached without special equipment.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the direction of Bakhmut on May 27, the russian army unsuccessfully advanced west of Khromovo.

Ten settlements came under fire. Seven houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community.

During the day, in the Bakhmut direction, the russian military fired 250 times from various weapons at the positions of the Ukrainian troops. 342 shellings were recorded in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction.

Luhansk Oblast

In Luhansk, the occupiers continue to refurbish local medical facilities to suit their needs. Recently, additional beds and equipment were delivered to the railway hospital, where wounded invaders are treated, because the medical facility cannot withstand the loads.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On the night of May 28, one enemy attack UAV "Shahed-131/136" was destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of the "South" air command in the Mykolaiv Oblast.

Yesterday, May 27, the enemy made artillery strikes on the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community. There were no injuries or damage.

In Mykolaiv, the Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanska raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

On May 27, the russian military once again shelled Huliaipole of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Rescuers pulled out a local resident from under the rubble.

In total, during the past 24 hours, the russian military shelled 21 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast: they attacked with aviation, anti-aircraft missiles, drones and artillery. Four people were injured.

Odesa Oblast

Seven russian ships are on duty in the Black Sea, and one in the Azov Sea. There are no rocket launchers in any of them, they are installed at the base points.

As a result of bad weather, 13 settlements of the Odesa Oblast remain without electricity. Over the past day, the power industry repaired 26 power transmission lines and restored 613 transformer substations in order to restore light to 150 settlements in the Oblast for four thousand customers.

The exhibition "50 Shades of Green" by Kherson artist Svitlana Yurieva opened at Veteran Hub in Odesa. The exhibition is dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine in order to support them and thank them. Nine watercolors with stories about the love and strength of Ukrainian soldiers are presented. 

Kherson Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the russian army shelled the Kherson Oblast 73 times with mortars, artillery, tanks, drones and aircraft. They hit Kherson three times. Shells hit the residential quarters of the settlements of the Oblast, the territory and the building of the factory and educational institution in Kherson. One person is injured.

Late in the evening, the army of the russian federation attacked the Beryslav Raion with guided aerial bombs. Several private houses were destroyed. They also once again beat up agricultural areas. There are no casualties or injuries.

The occupiers created a branch of the russian movement of children and youth "Movement of the first" in the premises of the school in Zaliznyi Port, the Kherson Oblast. In this way, they try to displace the Ukrainian identity from children and integrate them into the socio-cultural space of russia.

During the day, in the Kherson Oblast, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed nine units of armored vehicles, two large-caliber "Hyacinth-B" guns, two converted boats and an observation post of the russian military. Also, seven russian army drones were discovered and eliminated.

Power engineers connected 37 consumers in the village of Kostromka and 28 in the settlement of Shchaslyve.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

At night, the russians shelled Nikopol. As a result, 6 private houses and 2 farm buildings were destroyed. The gas pipeline and power line were also damaged.

In Dnipro, the number of victims of a russian missile attack on a hospital has increased. It became known that a 56-year-old doctor, a 64-year-old employee of the medical facility and a 57-year-old employee of a nearby vet clinic also died. In total, 5 people died and 31 were injured. More than 30 high-rise buildings and more than 20 private houses were damaged. There is destruction in the stadium, in 3 schools and 3 kindergartens. In addition, the lyceum was damaged. More than 190 statements were received from city residents about property damage.

The photo exhibition "War in 35 mm" was opened in Dnipro. Serhii Balashov, a military man with the call sign "Serebania", presented his works. The man photographed the war and his comrades on a film camera.

The coordinators of the AUI "Active Community" in Dnipro Dmytro Chernyshov and Maksym Krasikov held an Active Community Club on the activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and people's deputies. Cherkasy Oblast

Volunteers of the Cherkasy Oblast Organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine handed over humanitarian aid to the rescuers of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service. The material and technical base of emergency workers was replenished with two diesel generators, sleeping bags, IFRC kits and other necessary things.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Servicemen of the 3rd separate special regiment named after Prince Svyatoslav the Brave conducted tactical and special training, during which they worked out the elements of combat in the conditions of urban development. In particular, training storming of buildings in cooperation with the fire support group, the use of aerial reconnaissance and other elements of combat were conducted.

Poltava Oblast

In the Poltava Oblast, the network of volunteer fire protection units will be expanded and the population will be involved in this process. The memorandum on assistance in this direction was signed by the State Emergency Service, the oblast council and the Public Union "Firefighters - Rescuers of Ukraine". This will improve the material and technical base. It is planned to involve servicemen and veterans in the formations, so this will contribute to their adaptation.

On the basis of the oblast institution for psychiatric care, the construction and arrangement of a modular town for internally displaced persons was completed. It is planned to expand the circle of people who can live there. The modules can also be used to provide medical and psychological rehabilitation for those affected by russian aggression.

Rivne Oblast

That night, two enemy "Shahed" drones were shot down in the sky of the Rivne Oblast. The air alert lasted almost 4 hours.

Since the beginning of 2023, 724 IDPs have received the services of the Rivne Oblast Employment Service. Of them, 623 people have acquired the status of unemployed. Unemployment benefits were paid to 434 people. During this period, 165 internally displaced persons were employed. Also, 51 such unemployed people were trained in new professions.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

A social and educational hub was opened in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The hub will serve as an educational, humanitarian and cultural space. It was created in order to activate and support the sustainable community of the city. Special attention is paid to projects and events related to community development, social entrepreneurship, informal education, and innovation.

As part of the "Printing House of Changes" project, an open architectural competition was held for the best sketch project of a business center in the Old Town [a district of Kamianets-Podilskyi]. Here, on the basis of the old printing house, it is planned to create a Business Development Agency with exhibition space, workshops, a coffee shop, office and administrative premises.

Zakarpattia Oblast

In the Zakarpattia Oblast, images of soviet soldiers and the soviet star were dismantled in the village of Kvasovo, the Berehove Raion.

Fighters of the "Zakarpattia Legion" participated in the charity marathon "Running under chestnuts". The defenders covered a distance of about 2 kilometers in full equipment: in helmets and bulletproof vests. All funds collected during the campaign will go to help the Center for Children's Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery in Kyiv.

The boys' and young men's choir of the Mukachevo Choir School performed a concert in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Palanok Castle. The Ukrainian folk song-requiem "They're Carrying the Cossack Away" was dedicated to the memory of the Hero of Ukraine, former student of the choir school Roman Zhuk. He died in the war defending the country a year ago.
