Northern Oblasts

Kyiv Oblast

In Ukrainka, a high-rise building that was damaged by an air attack at the end of April this year was restored. Then, due to the fall of fragments of a russian rocket, 2 apartments were destroyed - on the 5th and 6th floors.

Chernihiv Oblast

On May 30, two border communities of the Chernihiv Oblast came under russian shelling. Nine parishes in the area of ​​the village of Yanzhulivka, three parishes in the area of ​​the village of Leonivka, five parishes in the area of ​​the village of Senkivka.

On the morning of May 31, russian troops shelled the border village of Galaganivka in the Semenivka community of Chernihiv Oblast. Border guards recorded seven explosions, probably from a 120 mm mortar.

Sumy Oblast

During the day, May 30, the russian military shelled the communities of Bilopillya, Velikopysarivka, Krasnopillya, Nova Sloboda, Seredina-Buda, and Shalygine. Residential buildings, power lines and commercial buildings were damaged. A total of 55 explosions were recorded.

During the night and morning of May 31, the russians fired mortars at 4 communities of Sumy Oblast: Seredino-Buda, Esman, Bilopillya, and Nova Sloboda.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

No strikes were recorded in Kharkiv last day. The enemy continued to shell the civilian infrastructure and the civilian population of the Kharkiv, Chuguyiv and Kupyansk raion of the region.

Buildings were damaged, fires broke out, and a 72-year-old man was injured as a result of shelling in Vovchansk, Chuguyiv raion.

The enemy struck Kivsharivka village of Kupyansk raion with two guided air bombs. Hitting the ground is recorded. Windows in the building of the educational institution were broken. There were no large-scale destruction or casualties.

An apartment was damaged as a result of shelling in the village of Novoosynove, Kupyansk raion.

Demining continues. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 92 explosive objects.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, the occupiers shelled 17 cities and towns in the Donetsk Oblast. A total of 35 shellings were recorded. 

On May 30, shelling by the russian army in Donetsk Oblast killed one person in Chasiv Yar, and six others were injured.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,537 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,615. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

During the forced evacuation of children from the war zone, 130 children were evacuated from Donetsk Oblast. It started with Bakhmut and the Time Ravine. Now this process is being launched in the Toretsk community.

Today, the last school bell rang for 10,309 ninth-graders and 6,663 eleventh-graders of Donetsk Oblast. Unfortunately, 119 children will never hear from him again - they were killed by russia.

In Donetsk Oblast, law enforcement officers suspect six educators of voluntarily cooperating with the occupiers, spreading russian propaganda, and denying the right to the existence of the Ukrainian language.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

In the Lyman direction, the occupying forces renewed their assaults on Ukrainian positions. This section of the front remains the "leader" in the number of artillery fire, more than half a thousand per day.

8 private houses were damaged in Kostyantynivka, 1 more in Maiske.

An economic building was damaged in the Lysychansk direction in Kryvya Luka of the Lyman community.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the Donetsk direction, 1 person was injured and 3 houses were damaged in Ostrivske of the Kurakhove community. A 5-story building and an educational institution in Hirnik, a correctional facility in Hostre, and an agricultural enterprise in Kurakhove were also damaged in the community. 2 people were injured in the village of Kostyantynivka, Maryinka community.

Today, May 31, the enemy launched a rocket attack on the production premises of one of the enterprises in the Udachne community of the Pokrovsk raion. A woman born in 1982 died. The number of victims is being clarified. Minor damage to several buildings is known.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka sector, 1 person was killed and 1 wounded in the Chasiv Yar community. In Toretsk, 1 person was wounded, a 9-storey building, a library, and 2 medical institutions were damaged. A house and a boiler room were damaged in New York.

In the area of Soledar, Donetsk Oblast, the commander of the Ukrainian Army, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, came under fire. He continued to give orders in combat conditions.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

The "Bili Yanholy" (''White Anges'') evacuated the last child with her mother from a village near Vuhledar. The girl's father was killed during the russian shelling.

Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, on May 30, the enemy fired artillery at the waters of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties or damage.

Also yesterday, the enemy shelled Ochakiv. As a result, residential buildings and outbuildings were partially destroyed and damaged. There were no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk, and Bashtanka Raions, the day and night were relatively calm.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, on May 30, the russian military shelled 17 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast: they attacked with MLRS, artillery and aircraft. 

A powerful explosion was heard in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. Local residents have seen black smoke on the western outskirts of Melitopol, near the russian-seized "Avtokolorlyt" plant, which is now being used as a military base.

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, 117 schools, more than 50 kindergartens and 45 vocational education institutions were destroyed or damaged by russian shelling.

Yesterday in Zaporizhzhia, almost two months' worth of rain fell in five hours. As a result, basements of residential buildings, warehouses and offices, and one of the city's hospitals were flooded. Rescuers used motorized pumps to pump out more than 100 cubic meters of water.

Odesa Oblast

The Boryspil Professional Lyceum hosted a partnership meeting "Modern Trends in School Nutrition" as part of the ongoing school nutrition reform with the participation of First Lady Olena Zelenska. The goal of the project is to create culinary hubs and train "change agents" for school nutrition reform.

Kherson Oblast

On May 30, russian troops fired 49 times at Kherson Oblast with mortars, artillery, MRLS, and drones. Kherson was shelled twice. The shells hit residential areas. Five people were wounded.

Yesterday, the russian army once again shelled Beryslav and Tiahynka with artillery. The shelling damaged private houses and outbuildings. There were no casualties.

In the afternoon, russian troops shelled Shyroka Balka with artillery. A shell hit a house, a three-year-old child sustained a head injury and was hospitalized.

Law enforcement officers exhumed the body of a civilian man who was tortured by russian military during the occupation of Kherson. Investigators found that the deceased was illegally detained in the spring of 2022 and held in one of the city's torture chambers. The body was sent for forensic examination. 

Residents of the temporarily occupied Kakhovka reported that electricity and water had disappeared in the city.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

An 8-year-old child was wounded in the morning of May 31 as a result of a shelling of Pavlohrad Raion of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The building of a transport company and windows in a two-story house were damaged. 

At night, shells were dropped from a drone in Nikopol Raion. No one was injured or killed.

A hotline to help veterans and their families was launched in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Defenders can ask questions about treatment, rehabilitation, payments, compensation, and benefits.

Stone women from the collection of the Dnipro Historical Museum were hidden under Kevlar "bulletproof vests." This will help protect the stone plastic from fragments in the event of a missile strike. Previously, the stone statues were covered with sandbags, but this created a greenhouse effect and contributed to the development of mold.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Five soldiers from the communities of Kropyvnytskyi Raion, Kirovohrad Oblast, who died in the war with russia, were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, III degree.

In Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad Oblast, 600,000 hryvnias will be allocated for the repair of three kindergartens where the displaced people currently live. Displaced persons will be offered other housing. They do this because not all children can attend kindergartens due to the lack of places.

Poltava Oblast

Deputies of the Oblast council allocated 98 million hryvnias for the construction and reconstruction of shelters in educational institutions. 65 projects are planned to be implemented under the conditions of co-financing from the Oblast and at least 50% from the community budgets. In addition, 8 communities will take advantage of the state subvention for arranging shelters. 9 applications were selected.

In Poltava, they supported the creation of a lyceum with enhanced military and physical training. The first 50 students will be enrolled in the lyceum starting September 1. The lyceum will be opened on the basis of the Poltava Art Lyceum named after Sofia Rusova. General disciplines will be taught by the employees of the art institution, and specialist disciplines by officers. Recruitment has already started.

In honor of the State Flag in Poltava, Gagarin Street was renamed. In 2021, the flagpole was opened on it and the largest flag of Poltava Oblast was raised. But the Soviet pilot-cosmonaut has nothing to do with Poltava.

The installation of a monument to Symon Petliura in Poltava was supported at the Oblast session. Money for production and installation will be found after the budget is redistributed. Design and engineering works cost 300,000 hryvnias and the sculpture costs 4.6 million hryvnias.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The «United» movement helps to switch to Ukrainian and organizes Ukrainian language courses. It was created with the participation of the «Teach Ukrainian» Initiative and with the support of the «Ukrainian Humanitarian Platform» public organization. Free training and conversation clubs are organized here for everyone.

A charity race will be held in Khmelnytskyi in support of the legendary special forces of the 8th separate regiment. In addition to the race, a photo booth, a concert, animators, a lottery, and more await the participants. The goal is to raise funds for the purchase of laser lights and tablets.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Public organization «Translatorium» is starting a BAZHAN residency — a residence for everyone who works with poetry. The project will last from June to September 2023 in Kamianets-Podilskyi under the European Union financial support program «Creative Europe».

Zakarpattia Oblast

The Oblast authorities and partners from the Pryasiv Autonomous Region of the Slovak Republic spoke about the potential of Zakarpattia in terms of economic development, entrepreneurial activity and agriculture. They visited Uzhhorod on a working visit. They agreed on the promotion of viticulture and winemaking, sheep farming, beekeeping, the launch of industrial parks in the Oblast and work on international markets.

The Department of Journalism of UzhNU held an international conference. 100 scientists from 6 countries joined the discussion of mass communication problems: the USA, Sweden, the Republic of Poland, the Slovak Republic, Hungary, as well as from various Oblasts of Ukraine.

In Zakarpattia, a cup match was held in honor of the defenders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Women's Football Committee of the Zakarpathian Football Association decided to honor female warriors with a match of the girls' teams born in 2007-2011.
