Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

At night, the russians attacked Kyiv again. According to preliminary information, more than 30 air targets of various types were detected and destroyed in the airspace over Kyiv and around Kyiv by air defense forces and means. The capital rescue service received a report about a fire in the Pecherskyi district of the capital on the Mykhaila Omelyanovicha-Pavlenka street. The fire started in a 2-story unfinished building, which caused a partial collapse of the roof of the structure. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of the rescuers, it was possible to prevent the fire from spreading to the adjacent administrative building.

As a result of the night shelling, the power system was damaged and power lines were disconnected.

Four people were detained as part of the investigation into the refusal of citizens to enter the shelter. The first deputy of the Desnyanska DGA, the director of the medical institution and his deputy, as well as a security guard, were detained. Investigative actions in criminal proceedings are ongoing.

Kyiv Oblast

On the night of June 2, the russians attacked the Oblast simultaneously with missiles and drones. Thanks to the professional work of the Air Defense Forces, no hits were recorded. All enemy targets are destroyed. Due to falling debris, 5 private houses were damaged. In 3 houses, the damage is minor - broken windows, chopped facades. In 2 – there were fires, they were extinguished. Relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Owners of damaged buildings will be provided with all necessary assistance. Several cars were damaged by debris, as well as windows in one of the office premises. In 2 raions of the Oblast, there are several fires of grass and forest litter.

Explosive objects were destroyed in Vyshgorod raion today.


Chernihiv Oblast

On June 1, russian troops continued shelling the border areas of Chernihiv Oblast. The border villages of Semenivka and Novgorod-Siverskyi communities came under fire. No information was received about losses among the local population or civil infrastructure.

On June 2, the russians shelled two border villages of the Semenivka community: Leonivka and Yanzhulivka. In Yanzhulivka, the building of the village council was damaged.

Due to the russian shelling, 95% of the residents left the border village of Tymonovychi, Semenivka community. Out of 165 residents, eight remained there. All residents were forced to leave the village of Muravyi, Novgorod-Siverskyi community. Of the 44 inhabitants, there is no one left. These villages experienced the greatest resettlement in the Novgorod-Siverskyi raion. Also, more than half of the residents were evacuated from the villages of Zarichchia (28 of 79 residents remained), Leonivka (from 75 to 36), Galaganivka (from 130 to 62), Gremyachka (from 25 to 11), Semenivka community.


Sumy Oblast

During the day of June 1, the russian military fired artillery and mortars at 5 communities of the Sumy Oblast. A total of 100 explosions were recorded, and residential buildings were damaged.

During the night and morning of June 2, the russian army shelled five communities of Sumy Oblast. A person was injured in Seredyna-Buda. Bilopillia, Shalygyne, Znob-Novgorodske and Yunakivka communities were also shelled.


Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy launched a missile strike on the city of Kharkiv and continued shelling the border and front-line settlements of the Kharkiv, Kupyansk and Chuguyiv raions of the Oblast.

According to detailed information, a 63-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were injured as a result of a missile strike on Kharkiv's Industrial district. Hospitalization was not required, medical assistance was received on the spot.

During the day, the russian occupiers massively shelled Vovchansk, Chuguyiv raion. In the city, the «Veselka» store, the premises of the fire department, and residential buildings were damaged, and fires broke out. As a result of shelling, 3 people were injured.

In the village of Grakove, Chuguyiv raion, a tractor was blown up by an anti-tank mine. A 61-year-old tractor driver was injured and hospitalized.

Demining continues. During the day, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service inspected 8.7 hectares of territory and neutralized 152 explosive objects.


Donetsk Oblast

On June 1, in the Donetsk Oblast, two residents were killed in Avdiyivka and Chasiv Yar due to shelling by the russian troops, and it became known about one person who died earlier in Vugledar. Yesterday, 12 people were injured in Oblast.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,542 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,632. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown for sure.

During May, the energy industry restored electricity to more than 360,000 families in Donetsk Oblast, but on June 1, eight settlements and a mine were cut off due to shelling by the russian army.


Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk raion

4 private houses were damaged in Kostyantynivka community: in Kostyantynivka, Markovo, Predtechyny and Ivanopil.

In the Lysychansk direction, 2 people were injured in Siversk.

Mobile shelters are being installed in Kramatorsk. Now utility workers have already installed 4 mobile shelters, where people will soon be able to stay during an air alert.


Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy shelled the Kurakhiv community 7 times during the day: there were no casualties, but 4 high-rise buildings, 13 private houses and 1 administrative building were damaged. Shelling of Krasnohorivka and Maksimilianivka of the Mariyinka community was recorded.


Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

In the middle of the night, the russians struck Toretsk — they aimed at the school where the Point of Invincibility was located. This is not the first time this school has been hit - the occupiers are deliberately targeting the facility, which provides humanitarian aid and support to civilians. Also, 15 high-rise buildings, 5 private houses and 7 administrative buildings were damaged in the city. 2 people were injured.

In the Horlivka direction, in addition to Toretsk, Chasiv Yar came under fire — 1 person was injured, 4 high-rise buildings and 9 private houses were damaged.


Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion

On the Volnovakha direction, 3 houses were damaged in Novoukrayinka, under fire from Prechistivka and Bogoyavlenka of the Ugledarska hromada.


Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast

On the night of June 2, the forces and means of anti-aircraft defense in the Mykolayiv Oblast destroyed the "Shahed-136" enemy attack UAV.

Yesterday, June 1, the enemy launched artillery strikes on the water area of ​​Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

In the evening, two settlements of the Kutsurub community were shelled. Residential buildings were damaged. There are no casualties.

In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Bashtanka and Voznesensk raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.


Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, June 1, the russian military shelled 22 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. One person died in Gulyaipole, two were injured.

This afternoon, russian troops shelled the village of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The enemy aimed at a high-rise building. Two women died. Four more people were injured.

In the temporarily occupied Melitopol, the russian military is setting up a children's sanatorium as a hospital, and a base of russian military personnel has been placed on the territory of the Melitopol Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.

Today, June 2, explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk — Ukrainian defenders hit russian positions.


Odesa Oblast

The court seized the next assets of Oksana Marchenko, the wife of the odious politician Medvedchuk, in seven port infrastructure enterprises of the Odesa Oblast. The total value of blocked assets is almost 740 million hryvnias. Marchenko, suspected of financing russian occupation groups, owned assets through a number of offshore companies.

On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the service of the 1st unit of the Maritime Guard of the State Border Service of Ukraine, the deputy chief of the Odesa Raion Military Administration awarded the maritime border guards with valuable gifts and certificates of honor. They excelled in detaining vessels violating the state border, looters of Ukraine's natural resources, rescuing people on the high seas and providing aid to ships in distress.

Italy continues to help Ukraine and, in particular, Odesa. Representatives of the Italian National Higher Institute of Civil Protection came with a humanitarian mission. They delivered an ambulance to Odesa, as well as consumable medical supplies. Including - for carrying out operative interventions. The humanitarian cargo has already been transferred to one of the city's intensive care hospitals.


Kherson Oblast

During June 1, the russian army shelled Kherson Oblast 81 times, Kherson — nine times. Shells hit buildings of social and critical infrastructure in Kherson and Beryslav raion. 16 people were injured. Among them are six police officers

At night, russian troops shelled the village of Chereshenki in the Bilozerka community. Farm buildings and agricultural machinery were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries. 

This afternoon, russian air forces struck Kozatske, dropping two guided aerial bombs. Odradokamyanka was also attacked, the rural council, post office and cemetery were damaged.

The russian occupiers have set the deadline for residents of the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region to obtain a russian passport — September 1, 2023. For refusal, they threaten to stop supplying electricity, confiscate property, forcefully evict them from their homes or deport them.

Russian troops are preparing a provocation at a chemical plant in Armyansk, temporarily occupied Crimea. Explosives were brought to the territory of the Crimean Titan plant and the territory is being mined.

Volunteers of the Lithuanian organization of the Charitable Foundation "Crown of the Princes of Ostroh" brought furniture to Kherson for setting up shelters. In particular, chairs, benches, beds and tables that can be assembled and disassembled without nails.


Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of June 2, russian troops attacked Nikopol with heavy artillery. No one was killed or injured. Rescuers are inspecting the area.

A list of shelters in local schools was published in Dnipro. There are currently 116 of them. For the convenience of the citizens, the contacts of the heads of the institutions and those responsible for the shelters are listed.

A rehabilitation center for defenders is operating in one of the medical institutions in Novomoskovsk Oblast. Its capacity will soon be doubled. The process is in its final stages. We have purchased modern equipment and trained local specialists to work with it. Patrons have invested in this. The cost of the project is almost UAH 20 million. The goal is the physical recovery of seriously wounded defenders.

The first in the Dnipro Oblast and one of the largest in Ukraine, the "I Am a Veteran" center was opened in Kryvyi Rih. The center will provide 561 types of services to combatants and their families, including social, administrative, housing, land, medical, educational, and other services.


Cherkasy Oblast

Last night, a massive flight of enemy missiles and drones was recorded over Cherkasy Oblast. The alert lasted almost three hours. There was no information about casualties or destruction as a result of the enemy air attack.


Kirovohrad Oblast

Fields in Kherson Oblast are mined and under enemy fire, so people in Kirovohrad Oblast have decided to grow vegetables and melons. The authorities are working on state support for farmers.

David Kibukevych, an 11-year-old resident of Kropyvnytskyi, plays drums in different neighborhoods to raise money for a night vision device for his taekwondo coach, who is currently serving at the front.


Poltava Oblast

A memorial plaque to Anatolii Sukhomlyn, who was killed near Bakhmut, was unveiled in Myrhorod Raion. The soldier was a chief sergeant and commander of the first anti-aircraft missile platoon of the third anti-aircraft missile battery.

The widow of the fallen hero from Poltava Oblast, Serhii Koliadynskyi, was posthumously awarded his Order for the Liberation of Ukrainian Lands. The serviceman was killed during a military engagement with the enemy near the village of Pisky-Radkivsky.

In Poltava, monuments to soviet army general vatutin and lieutenant general zygin, a monument to a T-34 tank, and a monument to a bust of pushkin are to be demolished. New places were found for them in the museum of local history named after Krychevsky and the Museum of Heavy Bomber Aviation.

On June 3-4, the Spassky Festival will host the "Run! Donate!" to help raise funds for the purchase of night vision devices for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' terrorist defense brigade. Each participant will receive a commemorative medal, a race bib number, and an entrance ticket to the festival.


Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Six million hryvnias will be allocated from the city budget to repair the damage to the buildings damaged by the blast wave caused by russian shelling on May 13, 2023. This decision was voted for by members of the Khmelnytsky City Council. The maximum amount of compensation that the owner of the damaged property can claim is UAH 50 thousand.


Kamianets-Podilskyi

Natalia Svyrydiuk, an ethnography researcher from Poltava, moved her collection of antiquities to Kamianets-Podilskyi to save them from the war. The researcher received an emergency scholarship from the EU House of Europe in the area of "Preserving Together" to help her relocate the ancient folk costumes and provide psychological rehabilitation.


Chernivtsi Oblast

Shelters in the Chernivtsi Oblast can accommodate a quarter of the population. Therefore, the region will receive UAH 25 million from the state budget to repair the shelters. Nine priority sites have already been identified. The regional administration is considering buying temporary mobile shelters, including for public transport stops. They cost from UAH 2.5 million.

More than 1,000 tons of food and about $6 million in financial aid have been provided to displaced people in Bukovina by the World Food Program.

A new building was opened in the City of Good crisis center. Fifty children from the evacuated Odesa orphanage, who had been living in the center for more than six months, are being accommodated there. The building also has a space for development and creativity.


Zakarpattia Oblast

The badges "For the Development of Zakarpattia" were awarded to 12 Zakarpattia soldiers. The regional awards were presented by the head of the Zakarpattia Regional Council.

Equipment designed to speed up the dewatering of residual sludge generated by the wastewater treatment plant in Uzhhorod has been put into operation. Previously, the sludge was dumped into sludge piles in the open air and dried for a long time. From now on, the mechanical dewatering workshop will help avoid its accumulation and solve a number of other environmental problems.

Guitars, a synthesizer, and a violin were presented to the displaced children by volunteers of the international charity organization SOS Children's Villages Ukraine. 10 musical instruments were purchased by benefactors from the sister city of Corvallis.
