Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Police have stepped up patrols at the Kyiv HPP. In the event of an emergency, the police will be involved in evacuations.

The Kyiv authorities will provide financial assistance to the families of the victims and the owners of housing in the Desnianskyi district damaged by the russian attack on June 1. In total, 809 people have received compensation this year for the housing damaged as a result of russian shelling.

Kyiv shelters will be equipped with an automated opening system to ensure guaranteed access to them during air raid alerts. Such a code system is already being tested in the Darnytskyi district.

In Kyiv, almost 30% of shelters are privately owned. They will be taken from the tenants within 24 hours if people won’t be able to get there. This decision was made by the Kyiv City Council.


Kyiv Oblast

On June 9, blasting operations were carried out at the Shamrayiv granite deposit in Bila Tserkva Raion. They are associated with technological processes.

In the Kyiv Oblast, 3,000 places have already been prepared for compact accommodation of people who found themselves in flooded areas as a result of the blowing up of the Kakhovka HPP dam by russian terrorists.

Today, trucks left Bucha and Hostomel carrying humanitarian aid for the residents of the southern regions of the country affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. The aid includes shelf-stable food products, drinking water, personal hygiene products, and animal feed.

For the second time, the Danish charitable organization Help Ukraine has donated furniture to the Irpin State College of Economics and Law: desks, tables and other things needed for the college to function properly.

The legendary Japanese virtuoso pianist and composer Tempei Nakamura performed in Bucha today. Admission was by donation. All funds raised will go to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.


Zhytomyr Oblast

At night, russian troops attacked the residential sector of the Zviahel community. According to preliminary data, air defense forces shot down one russian army missile in the Zhytomyr Oblast. The falling debris destroyed one residential building and damaged another 12. One person was killed and three others were wounded.

In Zviahel, after the russian army attack, volunteers are clearing the rubble, and construction workers are busy repairing the damaged houses. The city council is going to buy apartments for the owners of the destroyed housing.

In the Zhytomyr Oblast, the parishes of two more villages from the Romaniv and Myropil communities, along with their rector, were transferred to the Zhytomyr-Polissia diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.


Chernihiv Oblast

On June 8 and 9, russians shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast with tube artillery and mortars. The villages of the Semenivka and Novhorod-Siversk communities came under fire.


Sumy Oblast

During the day, the russian military shelled the border communities of the Sumy Oblast 13 times, 79 explosions were recorded. A house, a car, and the power grid were damaged in the Seredyna-Buda community. The russian military also shelled the Nova Sloboda and Bilopillia communities.


Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the russian federation carried out an airstrike near Kyslivka and shelled at least 14 settlements.

Two people were wounded in the shelling of Vovchansk on June 8. A medical facility, residential buildings, and outbuildings were damaged in the town.

Last night, russia attacked infrastructure facilities in the Bohodukhiv Raion with Shahed drones, wounding a 33-year-old man.

Today, the russian federation fired S-300 missiles, hitting the outskirts of Kharkiv. No one was wounded or killed in the attack.

In nine schools of Kharkiv, centers were opened for the collection of humanitarian aid for residents of the Kherson Oblast. The centers will be open from 09:00 to 18:00.


Donetsk Oblast

On June 8, russian troops fired 14 times at the residential sector of seven towns and villages in the Donetsk Oblast. The shelling damaged 14 residential buildings, a hospital, a laboratory, the building of a municipal gas supply company, a shop, and an enterprise, the police of the Donetsk Oblast reported.

On June 8, in the Donetsk Oblast one person was killed (in Maksymilianivka), and four residents were wounded. Also, two residents were wounded in Toretsk and one person in Yasna Polyana.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,555 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,667 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.


Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lysychansk sector, 4 houses were destroyed in Zvanivka. 13 shelling attacks on the Lyman community were recorded.

The Security Service of Ukraine detained an FSB informant who was "leaking" the positions of the Defense Forces near Sloviansk and Kramatorsk to the occupiers. The invaders needed the intelligence to prepare massive airstrikes on the Defense Forces' deployment sites and military convoy routes. The woman is currently in custody.


Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction, one person died and four were injured in Maksimilianivka of the Marinka community. The Kurakhove community came under fire four times: Kurakhove, Ostrivske, and Dachne. Isolated shelling of Avdiivka and the Ocheretyne community was recorded.


Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Over the past day near Bakhmut, the Defense Forces advanced 1,600 meters. Russian forces unsuccessfully advanced in the direction of Ivanivske.

In the Horlivka direction two people were injured, six houses, six infrastructure facilities and one administrative building were damaged in Toretsk. Three houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community. In the Soledar community one house was destroyed, four more were damaged in Nykyforivka.


Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the direction of Volnovakha, the russians shelled Novoukrainka of the Vuhledar community with Grad MRLS.


Luhansk Oblast

Almost the entire territory of the occupied Luhansk Oblast lost mobile communication after the explosions in Luhansk and Hirske on June 8.


Mariupol

According to preliminary information, the drivers of the "Miskvodokanal" (a city water supply company) announced a strike in the occupied city. The reason is non-payment of wages for more than two months. This threatens a complete stoppage of water supply in Mariupol.

In the Mariupol Raion, which is under temporary russian occupation, local residents are forced to obtain russian passports. In particular, teachers are threatened with dismissal in case of refusal. In the order, which was published in local public places, it is said that by June 10, collaborative administrations should take control of the passporting of employees of educational institutions.


Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On the afternoon of June 8 and the morning of June 9, russian troops carried out artillery strikes on the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community. Also, on June 8, the settlement of the Kutsurub community was shelled with artillery. There were no injuries or damage.

During a massive attack on the night of June 9, 2023, air defense forces shot down a russian X-101 missile over the Mykolaiv Oblast.

As of June 9, the situation in the Mykolaiv Oblast with the rising water level has stabilized. Due to the terrorist attack at the Kakhovka HPP, the water level in the Ingulets and Pivdenny Bug rivers rose. In the region, 461 households were affected, 845 people were evacuated, 30 settlements were flooded, more than 14 thousand people are in the danger zone.


Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, the russian military shelled 21 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast: they attacked from aircraft and drones and used MLRS and artillery.

In the evening of June 8, a loud explosion rang out in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. It caused a fire at the gas distribution unit. By morning, many areas of temporarily occupied Berdiansk were without gas and electricity. In a few hours, gas and electricity supply in the city was restored.

Today, the russian army once again shelled the city of Huliaipole of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A guided air bomb of the russian army hit the medical facility. As a result, an employee and a woman who was near the hit place died. Two nurses received cuts from the debris and did not require hospitalization. In addition, an employee of the State Emergency Service was injured.

Currently, the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir has reached the design mark of the so-called "dead" level - 13.3 m. That is, when, theoretically, it is no longer possible to feed the cooling system from pumps. However, the Zaporizhzhia NPP has alternative sources of cooling pond recharge, even at the lowest levels of the Kakhovka Reservoir.


Odessa Oblast

In Odesa, pieces of furniture, garbage, tree branches are carried to the coast. People are filming household appliances, furniture and gas cylinders, which were carried away by the current after the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP.

Residents of the Odesa oblast are asked to refrain from walking along the sea, as mines and unused ammunition are found near the shores of the oblast.

In the summer, around 60 shelters will be set up in schools in Odesa until the first of September. 30 more until the first of November. 150 million hryvnias were allocated for the work, and 70 million hryvnias will be added to this budget at the next session of the City Council.


Kherson Oblast

On June 8, russian troops shelled the Kherson Oblast 44 times with mortars, artillery, "Grad" multiple launch rocket systems, drones, and aircraft. 25 projectiles were fired in Kherson. They hit residential areas. 2 people died, 17 were injured.

On the night of June 9, the russian army shelled Naddniprianske. Nine people were wounded. During the past day, the russian military hit the territory of the Kherson community 13 times, and Kherson - 7 times.

As of 17:00, the flood level of the right-bank of the Kherson Oblast is 5.38 meters, Kherson - 5.35 meters. Overnight, the water receded by 20 centimeters. 48 settlements were flooded in the region. 2,528 residents were evacuated, including 140 children, and more than 550 animals. 4 people died, 11 people were injured, 13 people went missing.

Since June 9, volunteers who planned to participate in the rescue operation were restricted from entering Kherson. This is explained by the deterioration of the security situation and constant shelling by the russian troops.

In occupied Oleshki, the house-museum of the artist Polina Raiko ended up under water. Polina Raiko is known for her unique drawings, which she used to decorate the walls of her home. Now they can be destroyed.


Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

In Dnipro, as part of the "Hold on to the Mane" volunteer project, hippotherapy is conducted for children of military personnel. In this way, the initiators of the classes try to improve their psychological state.

On the night of June 9, air defense destroyed a drone and 2 cruise missiles that attacked the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The wreckage fell in the Novomoskovsk Raion. Two private houses, a car and a gas pipeline were damaged. There were no injuries or death.

As of 11:00 a.m. on June 9, all drinking and technical water pumping stations were stopped in the Chervonohryhorivka community, the Nikopol Raion. It is no longer possible to pump water into the system. Residents are asked to switch to a mode of strict saving of water reserves.

In Tomakivka, drinking and technical water began to be delivered on June 9. The water supply points in the village are currently only being installed. Their addresses will be announced later. Centralized water supply in the village stopped on June 7.

In the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a Coordination Center was created to take care of the needs of war victims. Representatives of the center will promptly respond to community problems, coordinate the work of philanthropists and international partners. So far, humanitarian aid has already been sent to the Nikopol Raion through this center.


Kirovohrad Oblast

The Kirovohrad Oblast has formed teams of power engineers who will go to the Kherson Oblast to restore energy facilities when the conditions for this arise. The brigades were formed from the employees of PJSC "Kirovograd Oblenergo" and the Kropyvnytskyi enterprise "Misksvitlo".

From the Kirovohrad Oblast, 10 tons of water, tablets for water purification, packets of dry soups and borscht, necessaries for hygiene, clothes, cages and feed for animals were sent to the residents of the Kherson Oblast who were flooded due to an explosion at the Kakhovka HPP.


Cherkasy Oblast

In the evening of June 8, the enemy shelled the Uman community with missiles. The attack was carried out with "Kalibr" missiles. One of the projectiles hit the building of a local car wash, the other damaged a civilian enterprise. The supermarket building next to the car wash was also damaged. 8 victims are reported, two of them are in serious condition.

The branch of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine in the Cherkasy Oblast together with the Public Organization "Badminton Federation in the Cherkasy Oblast" organized badminton training for internally displaced children.


Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

The first meeting of the new Coordination Center for the support of the civilian population took place in the Rivne Oblast. It consists of representatives of oblast and raion authorities, heads of structural units, rescuers and security forces. The goal is to work with internally displaced persons, international donors, volunteers, veterans and psychological services. At the meeting, issues of evacuation, provision of housing, employment of IDPs, work with volunteers, international donors, and others were discussed.

In the Klevan hospital, volunteers of the Smart.Dog Dog Interaction Center conducted canister therapy classes for wounded servicemen. Five dogs have undergone special testing and training and now serve as therapists for fighters with various types of injuries.

In Rivne, a master class on gingerbread painting for children of military personnel was held at the School of restaurant service and trade. Such classes contribute to their psychological relief.


Khmelnytskyi

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Another shipment was sent from Kamianets-Podilskyi to people in the territories affected by the explosion at Kakhovka HPP. Local entrepreneurs and concerned community residents joined the collection of humanitarian aid. Yesterday, the first part of the aid was handed over to the Tavriisk Lyceum of Skadovsk City Council.

Chernivtsi Oblast

The abbot of the church in honor of the holy great martyrs Dmitry and Gabriel in the village of Vanchykivtsi of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna diocese of the Ukrainian orthodox church of the moscow patriarchate was convicted of illegally transporting men across the border.

In Bukovyna, two headquarters collect necessary things, which are handed over to the affected areas of the Kherson Oblast. Philanthropists have already sent 10 tons of humanitarian aid.

105 animals rescued from Kherson were sheltered in Khotyn, the Chernivtsi Oblast. Dogs and cats are cared for by the owner of the shelter. There is not enough space for everyone, so several animals live in one enclosure. At the same time, local residents come to tame the animals.

The Khotyn community received a comfortable minibus for passengers with reduced mobility. This is another help from partners from Poland - the PKS company and the leadership of Opoczno County.

A new MAS-OXY-30 oxygen station was delivered to Hlyboka Hospital. It was installed on a specially equipped site. The purchase of modern equipment for the facility was financed by the Ministry of Health last year.

Singers from Bukovyna, Kateryna Buzhynska and Mykhailo Hrytskan, donated a million hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This amount was collected for Ukrainian soldiers during seven sold-out concerts.
