Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

Modular benches will be installed in the metropolitan metro. They will be designed for use by people who descended into the subway during an air alert. The benches were donated to Ukraine by the charity fund LITUA kartu and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).


Chernihiv Oblast

On July 23, russian troops shelled the border communities of the Chernihiv Oblast: Semenivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities. The military recorded nine explosions in the direction of the village of Leonivka. As a result of the shelling, the farm building caught fire.

Another 10 hits were recorded by the border guards in the direction of the village of Bleshnia. Also, the hit was recorded in the direction of Hremiach.

On July 24, the russians shelled the settlement of Leonivka again. Border guards recorded 14 explosions.

Foreigners from eight countries came to Lukashivka in the Chernihiv Oblast to rebuild completely destroyed houses. Most of them came to Ukraine for the first time. Here they settled in an international construction camp located 20 kilometers from Chernihiv.


Sumy Oblast

During the night and morning, russian forces shelled 4 communities of the Sumy Oblast. Shelling was carried out from artillery, mortars, tanks and small arms, the oblast military administration noted.


Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy fired artillery, mortars and guided aerial bombs at the settlements of the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk and Izium raions.

At least 13 private residential and commercial buildings were damaged as a result of the FAB-250 guided aerial bomb hitting the village of Kucherivka, the Kupiansk Raion. A 70-year-old woman was injured. She did not need hospitalization.

In the village of Petropavlivka, the Kupiansk Raion, 2 private houses were damaged as a result of an FAB-250 hit. In Kupiansk, a private house was damaged by enemy shelling.

In the village of Cherneshchyna, the Izium Raion, the buildings of an agricultural enterprise were damaged by shelling.


Donetsk Oblast

On July 23, there were no dead or wounded civilians in the Donetsk Oblast.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,629 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast and injured another 3,885. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.


Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lysychansk direction, in Siversk, 4 houses were damaged as a result of russian rocket fire.

In the Lyman direction, the occupiers tried to storm the positions of National Guard servicemen with T-90-M Proryv tanks. However, they did not succeed, and the fighters destroyed three tanks that burned completely.


Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Donetsk direction, in the morning, Avdiivka was subjected to massive artillery shelling. Shells hit residential quarters. In the Mariinka community, shelling of Krasnohorivka and Maksimilianivka was recorded.

Police officers from the "White Angel" crew evacuated four people from Krasnohorivka and Hostre. In particular, a family with 11-year-old boy Vladyslav, who settled in Hostre and previously lived in Mariinka, left for a safe place.


Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Horlivka direction, 3 houses, a shop and 2 administrative buildings were damaged in Toretsk. 2 houses were damaged in the Chasovyi Yar community.

On July 23, the russian army massively shelled Toretsk. One of the projectiles hit near the fire and rescue unit. The rescuer was injured by shrapnel. He was hospitalized, doctors are fighting for his life.

During the offensive, the Ukrainian military liberated about 35 square kilometers in the Bakhmut direction. Last week, fighters liberated almost 4 square kilometers.


Luhansk Oblast

Both in the Kreminna and Svatove directions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repel the enemy's attempts to improve their position. Heavy fighting is taking place in several areas of the front line. The enemy conducts endless shelling of villages. Nevske, nearby settlements where people still remain, as well as Bilohorivka are under constant fire. The russians carried out airstrikes on Serebrianskyi Forestry.

People can enter settlements only with local registration or with a pass obtained in person from the occupation administration. At checkpoints, documents are checked more thoroughly, looking for possible forgeries.


Southern Oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

As of the morning of July 24, no attacks were recorded in Mykolaiv Oblast.


Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Over the past day, July 23, russian troops fired at 17 localities in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In total, over three days, on July 21, 22, and 23, russian troops attacked the territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast 242 times. They attacked with S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, aircraft, MLRS, and artillery, and used unmanned aerial vehicles. There were no reports of injuries or deaths. 


Odesa Oblast

Last night, the russian army attacked the port infrastructure of the Dunai area in Odesa Oblast with Shahed-136 drones. Three drones destroyed air defense forces. The hits destroyed a grain hangar and damaged storage tanks. A fire broke out in one of the technical rooms. Seven people were injured in the attack. Five people were hospitalized. One patient is in serious condition, in intensive care.

Employees of the Izmail District Prosecutor's Office have launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war due to the nighttime russian attack on the Dunai port infrastructure. According to the investigation, the attack caused damage and destruction to at least four-grain hangars, oil and fuel storage tanks, and an administrative building. 


Kherson Oblast

On July 23, the russian army fired 58 times at Kherson Oblast, firing 10 shells at Kherson. They hit residential areas of the region's settlements. One person was wounded.

During the day, russian troops fired at settlements of four communities in Beryslav Raion. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. One person was wounded in Odradokamianka.

On the night of July 24, the russian military attacked Molodizhne near Kherson. In total, the territory of the Kherson community was shelled 20 times during the day. Damage was recorded in Naddniprianske, Antonivka, Kherson, and Sadove. No one was killed or wounded.

At night, the russian military fired on the suburbs of Kherson near Antonivskyi Bridge. They dropped bombs in the area of Beryslav, information about the damage and casualties is being clarified. They also hit the boiler room of a school in Tyahyntsi. A fire broke out there, and rescuers were called in to extinguish it.

A massive fish kill of 360 kg - 1800 silver carp - was discovered in the Republican Separate Bay of the Kakhovka Reservoir in Beryslav Raion.


Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On July 23, the russian army shelled the Velyka Mykhailivka community of Synelnyky Raion of Dnipropetrovsk. A 54-year-old woman was wounded in the shelling of Synelnykivka Raion. Nikopol Raion was attacked by a drone, but air defense forces successfully landed it.

On the evening of July 23, russian troops attacked the community of Myrovka in Nikopol Raion with heavy artillery. No one was killed or injured.

Water supply has been restored to 40% of the residents of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In addition, drinking and industrial water continue to be delivered by tanker trucks. There are more than 60 water distribution points in the city.


Kirovohrad Oblast

According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, soldier Ivan Dvoriak from Svitlovodsk, Oleksandriya Raion, was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage", III class. The award was presented to the deceased's parents. The soldier died in July 2022 in Kharkiv Oblast.

The first modular town for internally displaced persons was opened in Znamianka, Kropyvnytskyi Raion. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Radek Matula attended the opening. The town consists of 50 modular housing units: 22 modules are intended for living, and the rest are for household needs. Up to 70 people will be able to live here. The project was funded by the government of the Czech Republic for a total of UAH 33.4 million.

In Kropyvnytskyi, the Museum of Art will host the opening of Olha Kurska's personal exhibition Chronicles of Victory. These are sketches, drawings, paintings, and reflections on key events of the war, made in various techniques and styles. The exhibition is dedicated to the Day of Statehood. "Chronicles of Victory".


Poltava Oblast

The 26-year-old from the Poltava Oblast is being asked to be awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously. In 2022, sniper Serhii Marienkov from Novoselivka defended Ukraine from enemies and saved his comrades at the front. He died in February in the Donetsk Oblast.

Poltava special forces detained the traitor. Now he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. During the occupation of the Kupiansk Raion, the former law enforcement officer helped the russians. He guarded detained Ukrainian citizens, in particular members of the ATO/JFO (Joint Forces Operation). The traitor beat and mocked the detainees.

A car and five quadcopters were sent to soldiers from the Poltava Oblast. They also handed over 15 generators for the needs of marines of the Navy of Ukraine. 

In Poltava, a project of the regional Comprehensive Program of social protection, rehabilitation and integration of defenders of Ukraine was developed.

Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk opened a modular town for displaced people in Poltava. She also took part in meetings, where she discussed the provision of comprehensive support for displaced persons and the military at all levels. 

Currently, 87% of schools in the Poltava Oblast have shelters. Therefore, educational institutions will be able to come back from distance to face-to face learning. These are about 459 institutions of general secondary education out of 526.


Western oblasts

Rivne Oblast

In the Rivne Oblast, there is a rehabilitation camp "Life after the war" for soldiers with vision loss and their family members. During two weeks, the soldiers are taught to navigate and move in space, use a cane, a GPS navigator, take care of themselves and do household work. About eight camps have already been held here, involving more than 30 fighters.


Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Since the beginning of this year, 28 people suspected of treason, collaboration or pro-russian agitation have been exposed in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast.


Chernivtsi Oblast

In the village of Bochkivtsi, in the Toporivtsi community, a memorial plaque was opened to three compatriots who died in the war with russia: Vitaly Melnychuk, Ihor Kushnir and Vasyl Melnychuk.

Soldiers Victor Kovalev from the village of Zarozhany and Oleksandr Popovych from the village of Dolyniany were awarded the "Golden Cross" badge by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

Another eight young people from Bukovyna received awards from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny. They were awarded for contributing to Ukraine's defense capability and volunteering.

Residents of Novodnistrovsk sent humanitarian cargo to the Kakhovka community, which suffered due to the blow-up of the hydroelectric power station. After the flood, people need almost everything, so they collected food, hygiene products, water, animal feed, medicine, rubber shoes, blankets, etc.


Zakarpattia Oblast

Another nine officers from the 101st brigade of the Zakarpattia Territorial Defense passed the "Captains' Training". The training took place for the fourth time. Course participants studied the battle planning procedure, practiced the military decision-making process, improved their leadership skills and shared their experiences. The training program was developed based on the standards of NATO countries, taking into account the experience of the russian-Ukrainian war.

In Uzhgorod, on July 23, a charity concert was held on the Nezalezhnosti Waterfront within the framework of the Melodies over the Uzh project. It managed to collect almost 10,000 hryvnias, which will be handed over to the Zakarpattia Military Support Movement.
