Northern oblasts

Kyiv

In the morning, russian troops attacked Kyiv with missiles. Air defense forces shot down all targets on the outskirts of the capital. No casualties were reported.

Two exhibitions dedicated to Christmas are opened in Kyiv. The project at the Ukrainian House will be dedicated to rethinking the Ukrainian Christmas tradition. The self-organized space thesteinstudio will showcase audio works created by artists during the full-scale invasion.

Kyiv Oblast

As a result of today's missile attack by the russian federation in the Kyiv Oblast, private houses in several communities were damaged. Thus, fragments of the downed missiles damaged 3 private houses and a car. No one was injured.

Russian troops shelled four communities in the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast with automatic grenade launchers and mortars.

A modular shelter was installed in the city park of the border town of Semenivka in the Chernihiv Oblast. It was provided by the Social Assistance and Support charitable foundation, since Semenivka is constantly bombarded by the russian army.

Sumy Oblast

During the day, the russian military shelled the border areas of the Sumy Oblast. There were 17 shelling attacks. 61 explosions were recorded. Nine communities were shelled.

At night, the russian army shelled three border communities in the Sumy Oblast. 24 explosions were recorded. Three communities came under russian fire.

Due to the shelling by the russian army, 56 settlements in the Sumy Oblast are currently without electricity.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Three elderly people were wounded as a result of russian shelling of Podoly in the Kupiansk Raion on December 7.

At night, the russians hit Kurylivka with a guided aerial bomb, causing fires in five-story buildings.

As a result of the strikes on Kharkiv, a hit to a children's playground was recorded. Residential buildings, an educational institution, and several cars were damaged.

165 consumers in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv are without electricity as a result of russian missile strikes. The russian military damaged the building of the distribution center. Debris removal is ongoing and the extent of damage to electrical equipment is being established.

The occupiers are moving additional forces to Kupiansk and preparing for new assaults. They use the military vehicles as transport or fire support, but due to the large number of Ukrainian drones, they are immediately destroyed.

Donetsk Oblast

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,787 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,374. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Heavy fighting with the russian occupiers continues in the Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors: the Defense Forces repelled 44 attacks over the last day. Also, russian aircraft dropped 40 bombs on the Donetsk Oblast.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

Three streets in Serebrianka were fired upon in the Lysychansk direction in the Siversk community. Torske and Zarichne were fired upon in the Lyman community.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled eight attacks by the russian army in the areas west of Verbove and Robotyne.

Investigators discovered 104 torture chambers in the de-occupied territories. 18 of them are in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Projectiles from MLRS were fired at Tiahynka. Four people who were on their way to receive humanitarian aid were injured.

In the temporarily occupied Tarasivka in the Kherson Oblast, the russian military is en masse taking firewood from local residents. The russian command does not provide its troops with warm things and wood, because of which the soldiers rob the local population.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Five drones were shot down by air defense in the Pavlohrad and Synelnykove raions of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. As a result of the shelling, one person died, four more were injured, two of them are in a serious condition.

The russian military fired heavy artillery at the Chervonohryhorivka community in the Nikopol Raion. There were no dead or injured.

Due to the massive missile attack, there is destruction in Pavlohrad, Ternivka and Yuriivka communities. An industrial enterprise, 16 private and 5 country houses were damaged. A church was also affected.

Eight people were injured as a result of a missile attack on Pavlohrad in the morning of December 8. All injured are men from 32 to 66 years old. Two of them are in serious condition.

An 86-year-old woman was rescued by emergency services workers from under the rubble of a house in Nikopol, which was hit by a projectile in the morning of December 8. She was admitted to the hospital.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

The mayor of Kamianets-Podilskyi met with the leaders of the school self-government. Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna border guards, chief sergeants Dmytro Korbutiak and Serhii Mendryshora, senior soldiers Andrii Boichuk and Vadym Velgush were awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the 3rd degree (gradually) by decree of the President of Ukraine.
