Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

The fire of the Armed Forces forced the russian soldiers to take the wounded and retreat beyond the state border of Ukraine.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Border and front-line settlements of Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuguyiv and Kupyansk raions suffered from enemy shelling last day.

In particular, Kupyansk, Masyutivka, Kislivka, Berestov, Udy, Strelecha, Hlyboke, Budarky and other settlements were under enemy fire.

No casualties among the civilian population were recorded during the day.

Heavy fighting continues in the Kupyansk direction. During the past day, the russian occupiers tried to go on the offensive in the areas northeast of Sinkivka, north of Kislivka, and southeast of Andriyivka. The Ukrainian defenders repulsed all the enemy's attempts to advance, the russians suffered losses and retreated to their positions.

During the day, 111 people were evacuated from the Kupyansk raion, including 36 children and 4 people with disabilities. In total, since August 9, 204 people have been rescued, including 71 children.

Donetsk Oblast

On August 12, the russians wounded 1 resident of Donetsk Oblast— in Toretsk.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,656 civilians of Donetsk Oblast, wounded another 3,996. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk raion

On the Donetsk side, Avdiyivka came under fire from the russian army — residential quarters and the territory of the Avdiyivka coke-chemical plant were in the affected area.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut raion

On August 13, the russian troops attacked Blagodatne with two FAB-500 guided aerial bombs, and at midnight the occupiers shelled Toretsk with artillery, injuring a person.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha raion

Mariupol

A fire broke out in russian-occupied Mariupol near Azovstal. Gray clouds of smoke are visible. According to the adviser of the mayor of Mariupol, the partisans destroyed the base of the russian occupiers, setting it on fire. 

Southern Oblasts

Mykolayiv Oblast

Yesterday, August 12, the enemy launched artillery strikes on the water area of ​​the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

In Mykolayiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka raions, the day and night passed relatively calmly.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The russian army shelled 13 towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast 114 times over the past day, August 12. The aggressor carried out airstrikes, fired artillery almost 100 times.

Odesa Oblast

The russian military opened fire at the dry cargo ship «Sukra Okan», which under the flag of Palau was heading to the port «Izmail» in Odesa. After the inspection, it continued its movement, the ministry of defense of russia reported.

Russian soldiers who attacked Odesa with Onyx missiles in July have been identified. The journalists of «Television Toronto» found out that «Onyx» was launched from Kozacha Bay in Sevastopol from the «Bastion» K-300P. In the occupied Crimea, it is in service only with the 15th separate coastal defense brigade. 

The border sign was restored on Zmiyinyi Island. Previous russian troops were destroyed at the beginning of a full-scale invasion.

Kherson Oblast

At night, the russian army shelled Naddnipryanske with artillery. In just one day, the russian military attacked the city territorial community 17 times, damage was recorded in Kherson, Sadove and Antonivka. There are no casualties or injuries.

Around five in the morning, the russian army attacked Veletenske, Kherson Oblast. As a result of the shelling, a 28-year-old man was seriously injured. He was diagnosed with 70% body burns, doctors are fighting for his life.

In the morning, the russian army shelled the residential quarters of Kherson with artillery. A high-rise building was hit, three people were injured, two were hospitalized in serious condition. 

The russian military shelled the Novokayiry of the Mylove community. A 61-year-old man was injured and hospitalized.

Today, the russian military fired on Stanislav in the Kherson Oblast with anti-aircraft guns. Five private residential buildings were destroyed and damaged. They also attacked Shyroka Balka. As of 3:00 p.m., the number of people killed as a result of russian shelling in the Kherson Oblast has increased to seven people. Among them is a 12-year-old boy and a girl who was only 23 days old.

The russian army also targeted a store in Komyshany. A 49-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were injured. At least five residential buildings were damaged in Zolota Balka as a result of russian shelling. A 61-year-old woman was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

At night, in the temporarily occupied Oleshky of the Kherson Oblast, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two ammunition depots of the russian army. There is also a hit on a cluster of russian troops.

“TEV"”company transferred a mobile water purification station from Latvia to Kherson Oblast. It is equipped with a diesel generator to ensure autonomous operation of the equipment. The station is capable of purifying 3,000 liters of water per hour. The system will work in the Korabel district of Kherson.

Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Yesterday, 15 private houses were damaged as a result of shelling in Nikopol. In general, during the day, the russian military attacked the city three times. There are no casualties or injuries. 5 farm buildings, 2 gas pipelines and 3 power lines were also damaged.

At night, the enemy shelled Nikopol and the Chervonogrygorivka community with artillery. The partially destroyed house of Honorary Citizen of Nikopol, Honored Football Coach of Ukraine - Hryhoriy Varzhelenko. During the morning shelling of Nikopol, one of the shells hit his home. The 71-year-old wife was hospitalized.

Vitaliy Kints, a rescuer, died in the Dnipro hospital, injured during the missile strike on Pokrovsk.

On the territory of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, a four-day training was held, where the Defense Forces of Ukraine trained to neutralize saboteurs.

Combat medic from Nikopol, Ksenia Konoplia, has been saving the lives of soldiers on the front line since June 2021. For this, she was awarded the «Cross of Combat Merit» by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Captain Konoplya is currently on maternity leave.

In less than a month, Ukrainians in ATB stores made over 10.5 million hryvnias in charitable contributions to the Armed Forces and medical institutions.

The construction of the pipeline was completed in the Hrushivka community of Kryvyi Rih raion. Almost 3 kilometers of pipes were laid and two pumps were installed. Two communities and the city of Marganets remain without centralized water supply in Nikopol raion.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Rescuers of the Golovanivskyi Regional Department of the State Emergency Service in Kirovohrad Oblast donated blood for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Psychologists from the international medical organization "Doctors Without Borders" provide psychological assistance to children who have fled the war zone in a shelter in Kropyvnytskyi. They conduct creative activities and play games to help children share their emotions, overcome stress and adapt.

In Kropyvnytskyi, a mini-football tournament was held on the football field of Kushchivska gymnasium in memory of Dmytro Prydatko, a Special Forces soldier and graduate of the school who died in August 2014 near Ilovaisk. Five teams competed in the mini-football cup. The Hero's family came to support the players.

Poltava Oblast

A memorial plaque to 29-year-old officer Ihor Shcherbak will be installed in Poltava. It will be placed on the house where the deceased lived. The soldier was from Poltava and worked as a financier. He voluntarily went to the front. The soldier died in February 2023 in Donetsk Oblast.

The new team of utility workers went from Poltava to Kherson Oblast again. This is the fifth rotation of volunteers. 36 workers of various specialties will replace the previous team that worked in the region for two weeks. 

Cherkasy Oblast

About 30,000 pilgrims are expected to arrive in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. This year, the Jewish New Year falls on September 15-17. The city authorities are ready to offer shelter to no more than 12,000 people. Therefore, pilgrims are urged to refrain from visiting Uman during a full-scale war.

Two tons of Kherson watermelons were sent to Cherkasy Oblast. This is the first watermelon harvest in the Novovorontsovka community since the beginning of the full-scale war. The region has been taking care of the Novovorontsovka community for a long time: it has become a shelter for the displaced people of Kherson Oblast, delivers humanitarian aid to the residents, and rebuilds the settlements as part of the "Side by Side" initiative. Some of the Kherson watermelons will also be sent to Ukrainian defenders who are recuperating in Cherkasy Oblast.

Western Oblasts

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The Khmelnytskyi Municipal Brass Band plays during the national minute of silence in Khmelnytskyi. The city honors its fallen heroes with the tune "Shana". This will be done every day, except for weekends, at nine in the morning until Ukraine's victory in the war.

Sweets, cheeses, and bakery products were presented by Ukrainian producers at the "Course to Independence" craft fair held in Khmelnytskyi. Masterclasses for adults and children were organized for donations. The funds raised will be used to treat Yuriy Kucher, a sapper from Khmelnytskyi.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Representatives of the "SOS Civil Defense Headquarters" charitable foundation and the Kamianets-Podilskyi Ukrainian Club helped gifted IDPs to realize their potential and integrate into the cultural environment of the city. Thus, as part of the charitable program to support women, a literary and song meeting of IDPs and native Kamianets residents was held.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Since the beginning of the year, the Chernivtsi City Council has allocated more than UAH 150 million to support military units. In total, more than half a billion has been transferred for the needs of the defenders and their families since the full-scale invasion.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast has received approximately 150 thousand IDPs. 90 shelters have been opened in the region.
