Kyiv

More than 80% of shelters and safe places have been inspected in Kyiv. Free access is provided to 1,866 facilities, access within a 5-minute walk is provided to 718 premises, while 96 shelters were found to be closed.

From September 1, another form of education will be introduced in lyceums of the Zhytomyr community - distance learning, when children will study at a time convenient for them.
Several volunteers from Ovruch baked more than 50,000 buns for the Ukrainian military in 11 months. Local schoolchildren help sell part of the buns, and the money goes to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
A mural depicting Lesya Ukrainka with a javelin appeared in place of a bricked-up window in one of the houses of the Irshansk community. The mural was created by local artist Pavlo Husev.

Chernihiv Oblast
Yesterday, on June 7, russians shelled a village in the Novhorod-Siversk community in the Chernihiv Oblast. Border guards recorded one explosion, probably from a 120 mm mortar, near the village of Krasnyi Khutir. On the same day, the russian military fired mortars at a village in the Semenivka community.
According to the results of the survey, about 10% of the shelters in the Chernihiv Oblast are not suitable for use.
Chernihiv will receive one million Swiss francs for the repair of the 13th school. Within the framework of the partnership between the Chernihiv community and the Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE project, the implementation of one of the initiatives, "School public budget for children's dreams", has already begun. More than 164 million hryvnias were allocated to repair the damage caused by russia.
Sumy Oblast
The lyceum’s canteen was destroyed as a result of a Shahed hit on the village of Sinne in the Myropillia community in the Sumy Oblast. There were no injuries, as there was no one on the territory of the institution at the time of the hit.

At night and in the morning of June 8, russian forces shelled the Myropillia, Mykolaivka, Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, and Nova Sloboda communities in the Sumy Oblast. In the Myropillia community, a Shahed hit the school, and a fire broke out in the annex. Drones also hit a grocery store and a non-residential building. In the Mykolaivka community, a drone hit the hangar and granary of an agricultural company. Several tractors were damaged.

As a result of russian shelling, fires broke out in various settlements of the Sumy Raion. The fire engulfed civilian objects. Rescuers extinguished 4 fires.
Eastern oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
On June 7, the russian army carried out airstrikes near Strilecha in the Slobozhanshchyna sector, and Kyslivka in the Kupiansk sector. 26 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast were shelled with artillery and mortars.
Yesterday evening, the russian federation hit an enterprise in Malynivka, Chuhuiv Raion, with an S-300 missile. There were no casualties.
Near the village of Havrylivka, Chkalovske community, a 40-year-old man was hit a butterfly mine while he was in a field. The man was hospitalized in Kharkiv with an amputated limb.
It is planned to rebuild 12 apartment buildings in Derhachi. They plan to reconstruct two blocks at once.
Donetsk Oblast
Over the past day, the russian army shelled seven towns and villages in the Donetsk Oblast. As a result, there are dead and wounded, among them children; also, 21 residential buildings were damaged.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,554 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 3,660 people. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
On the evening of June 7, a fire broke out at the solid waste landfill in Kostiantynivka due to shelling by the russian army. In the evening, the outskirts of Kostiantynivka also came under fire.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
A 4-year-old boy, his father and grandfather were killed during the shelling of Ukrainsk on the evening of June 7. Two girls and two boys aged between 3 and 13 were injured. They have mine-explosive injuries and other bodily injuries.
In the Donetsk direction, the Kurakhiv community came under fire three times. In the morning, the enemy fired 4 rockets at Avdiivka — 1 person was injured.
Internally displaced persons who are registered and are in the Pokrovsk community are constantly provided with humanitarian aid. Thus, the public initiative "Vostok SOS" together with the "Dobrodar" public organization brought 300 boxes of food products and hygiene kits to Pokrovsk.
The leaders of the Pokrovsk city government met with representatives of the international organization "Solidarités International". It is a French non-governmental humanitarian organization that provides assistance to the population affected by conflicts and violence, epidemics, natural or climatic disasters and economic crises. The issue of water supply, which is acute for the community, was discussed.
Taras Shevchenko Public Library in Pokrovsk received 150 books from the Yaroslav the Wise Kyiv National Library. Among them are historical novels, fiction and children's literature, newspapers, magazines, etc. The received literature will be used for bookcrossing, which is popular among local residents.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Mariupol
Occupiers in Mariupol want to "officially appropriate" more than 1,200 commercial objects, which they call ownerless. The corresponding list appeared in local publications. In order for the russians not to be able to take away the property, Mariupol residents must confirm ownership within three months. Otherwise, all objects will be transferred to communal ownership, as it was with part of the houses and apartments of the citizens who left.
Southern oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
Yesterday, the russian army shelled the town of Ochakiv and the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties or injuries.
In the Mykolaiv Oblast, 274 households were affected by flooding. 467 people were evacuated. As of 17:00, the water level in Mykolaiv in general is 105 centimeters. In some of the lowest places of the city districts, the coastline near residential buildings is being strengthened. One death is known. It is a man who refused to evacuate died due to the flooding of the Snihurivka community in the village of Vasylivka.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today visited the Main Pumping Station of the Ingulets River Canal Administration in the Mykolaiv Oblast, which was flooded due to the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP dam.
In the Snihurivka community, a disaster management headquarters has been established, which works 24 hours a day.
Kherson Oblast
On June 7, russian troops shelled the Kherson Oblast 34 times with mortars, artillery, Grad, and drones. Two shells were fired in Kherson. They targeted residential areas. There are no casualties or injuries.
Yesterday, russian troops struck the village of Chervonyi Maiak with artillery. Odradokamianka was also bombarded with phosphorus bombs. There are damaged houses and farm buildings. There are no casualties or injuries.
2,198 people were evacuated from flooded settlements in the Kherson Oblast. They are accommodated in dormitories. People with limited mobility are transported to hospitals under the supervision of doctors.
The rise in the water level in Kherson is still being recorded, but the rate of rise has decreased. The most difficult situation is in the Korabelnyi district of the city. There are more than 1,800 houses under water.
30 people with hypothermia were brought to the Oleshky hospital. Currently, nine people are known to have died in Oleshky. Due to the lack of communication, it is impossible to establish the exact number of missing persons.

During a working visit to the Kherson Region, President Zelenskyi visited the crossing where people are being evacuated. He also held a meeting on the liquidation of the consequences of the explosion of the Kakhovka HPP. At the base of one of Kherson's hospitals, Zelenskyi talked with the victims.
Over the past day, the water level in the Kakhovka Reservoir dropped by almost a meter. Currently, the spillway dam and earthen insert between the station building and the lock continue to collapse. Specialists are developing a project to cover the Kakhovka Reservoir in order to restore the water level before the explosion after deoccupation.
According to the General Staff, the russian military was not prepared for the consequences of blowing up the Kakhovka HPP. There are dead, wounded and missing in the 7th Airborne Assault Division and the 22nd Army Corps of the russian army. These units also lost several field warehouses with ammunition and provisions, automobile and armored vehicles.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
On the afternoon of June 7, the russian army shelled the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast four times. As a result of a drone attack, two houses, an outbuilding, three cars and a tractor were damaged in one of the communities. As a result of the artillery shelling of Nikopol, a school, two private enterprises, eight houses, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged. There were no casualties or injuries.
On the night of June 8, russian troops twice hit Myrove and Marganets communities in the Nikopol Raion with heavy artillery. There were no dead or injured. The consequences of the attacks are being clarified.
More than 850 kilograms of fish died near Marianske in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast due to the rapid shallowing of the Kakhovka reservoir caused by the explosion of the hydroelectric power plant. The water moved 60, and in some places 300 meters away from the shore. Damages caused to the fishing industry of the region amount to more than UAH 7.6 million.

Due to a critical drop in the water level in the Kakhovka Reservoir, the work of two water canals in the Nikopol Raion has been stopped. Trucks with bottled water and tankers with technical water are heading to the raion.
Kirovohrad Oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, the Alleys of Honorable Soldiers' Burials at the Rivnianske and Dalekoskhidne cemeteries are being reconstructed and decorated in the same style. The cost of the construction project of the Dalekoskhidne cemetery is UAH 25 million, and that of the Rivnianske cemetery is UAH 3.1 million. The money will be allocated from the city budget.
Dmytro Popov, a resident of Kropyvnytskyi, evacuated a roe deer, five raccoons and cats from flooded areas of the Kherson Oblast. The roe deer is currently in serious condition and is being treated at the "Hippos" rehabilitation center. After treatment, all animals will remain in the rehabilitation center.
Poltava Oblast
Volodymyr Zelenskyi handed over the "Golden Star" award to the mother of Maksym Kahal, an "Azov" warrior from the Poltava Oblast. It was possible to return the body of the Hero of Ukraine home only as a result of an exchange.
The Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the III degree was presented to the commander of the engineer company of the Poltava separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major Vitalii Vasylkov. The soldier received the award for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of state sovereignty.
49 families of war veterans from the Poltava Oblast will receive compensation for the purchase of housing. The funds are directed by the state: it will be a subvention for about UAH 90 million.
The Poltava Oblast is ready to welcome 6,000 people from the Kherson Oblast and has allocated UAH 10 million for their needs. Poltava rescuers and law enforcement officers also sent equipment and personnel to the Kherson Oblast to help overcome the consequences of the occupiers blowing up the Kakhovka HPP.
The oblast handed over 5 boats, 4 motor pumps and hoses for them, life and safety vests, 10,000 liters of gasoline and body armor for the affected residents of the Kherson Oblast. In addition, the specialized commission of the Poltava Oblast Council decided to allocate UAH 10 million from the regional budget to help the Kherson Oblast.
Residents of the rural community promptly collected bottled water for people who suffered as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP. Drinking water went from Hrebinka to Lubny and will go to the Kherson Oblast today.
In Poltava, a food collection was announced for the affected residents of the Kherson Oblast and their animals. Now products for long-term storage and quick preparation, water and food for cats and dogs are needed.
A safe and child-friendly space will be created in the Poltava Oblast. Here, protection and assistance in the justice process will be provided to children who have suffered or witnessed violence. It will work according to the Barnahus international model. The oblast council signed a corresponding memorandum with the International Charitable Foundation "Ukrainian Public Health Foundation", which implements this project together with UNICEF.

Khmelnytskyi Oblast
Kamianets-Podilskyi
By decree of the President of Ukraine, 10 servicemen of the unit stationed in Kamianets-Podilskyi received awards. Soldiers were awarded orders "For Courage" of the II and III degrees, the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".
In Kamianets-Podilskyi, working groups inspected 623 simplest shelters, 25 protection objects and 6 anti-radiation shelters. Deficiencies were recorded in 77 of them.
The city is ready to receive evacuees from the Kherson Oblast. 400 beds have already been deployed on the basis of educational institutions, and the work continues.
Thanks to cooperation with the Red Cross, the Kamianets-Podilskyi community received a powerful diesel industrial generator worth over a million hryvnias for free. If necessary, it can be transported to the required facilities.
Chernivtsi Oblast
A memorial plaque to the fallen defenders appeared in the village of Kyseliv of the Verenchany community. A memorial sign to Anatolii Filipchuk and Ivan Yakivchyk was installed on the facade of the school where they studied.
Bukovyna is ready to receive evacuees from the Kherson Oblast. Currently, there are 1,526 beds in the region. In addition, IDPs will be accommodated in 6 buildings, where repair work has been completed and 440 places for long-term residence have been created.
Another charitable aid was provided by the Chernivtsi Oblast Organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine for places of compact residence for internally displaced people in Bukovyna. In particular, 7 communities, as well as dormitories of 3 educational institutions received household appliances. These include 15 washer-dryers, 13 refrigerators, 15 gas stoves, and 9 microwave ovens.
80 tablets were given to children living in places of compact residence in the Chernivtsi Oblast. This is a charitable aid received as part of the cooperation between the Department of Social Protection of the Population of the Chernivtsi Oblast and the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine.
