Kharkiv Oblast
Yesterday at about 21:00, the Kyivskyi District of Kharkiv was shelled with MLRS, private houses were damaged. A 35-year-old man was injured.
Around 3 a.m., the enemy launched 2 rocket attacks from Belgorod on the Kyivskyi District. An infrastructure facility was damaged.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy fired from barrel and rocket artillery near Opytne, Marinka, Pisky, Avdiivka, and Nevelske. The russians tried to conduct assault actions in the directions of Spartak – Opytne, Novoselivka Druga – Krasnohorivka, Donetsk – Pervomaiske, Pisky – Nevelske, Lozove – Nevelske, no success.
Another school in Donetsk Oblast became a target for russians — this time Kostiantynivka school No. 17. The enemy attacked the school around four in the morning - the building was seriously damaged, but no one was injured.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the russians have already damaged 594 educational institutions in Donetsk region, including 263 schools.

On August 21, the russians killed 2 civilians in Donetsk Oblast: in Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka.

holding any mass events and gathering of citizens is prohibited; public transport stops; the activities of institutions, organizations, enterprises of all forms of ownership and subordination, including in the sphere of trade, public catering and household services, post and bank offices and ATMs, are prohibited; the issuance of humanitarian aid by the public, volunteer and charitable organizations is suspended in order to avoid crowding; planned evacuation flights are postponed until the termination of this order. The population is recommended to stay in shelters and not leave them without urgent need until the termination of this order.
In general, the situation remains alarming.
The coordinator of the Ukrainian Innitiative "Active Community" contacted a volunteer group that is engaged in evacuating the population from hot spots in the region. An agreement on further cooperation was reached.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsky district
The last day in the Pokrovsk community was relatively calm. No facts about the victims, destruction, or collaborationism were recorded.
Yesterday, the Selydiv community of the Pokrovsky district came under fire. There are no dead or injured.
The Security Service of Ukraine exposed corrections people who collected information about the geolocation and operation of local critical infrastructure facilities. It was established that on their "tip-off" the aggressors fired at the water intake system in the city of Selidove. According to the investigation, the perpetrators were in contact with militants of terrorist organizations in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine. They transmitted the received intelligence through one of the officials of the so-called "people's police of the DPR", providing him with a photo with objects marked on electronic maps.
Bakhmut
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy inflicted fire damage from barrel artillery and rocket salvo fire systems in the areas of Soledar, Zaytseve and Bilogorivka settlements. Russians led an offensive in the directions of Vershyn – Kodem and Hladosove – Kodem, without success. Over the past night, the russians launched seven missile strikes, shelled the positions of the Ukrainian military 11 times with barrel artillery and rocket salvo systems, and tried to organize tank offensives five times.
In the so-called "LNPR", the occupiers offer money to people for information about the whereabouts of the men. "Law enforcement officers" of the occupiers detain children and wait for the appearance of their parents or relatives in order to mobilize them.
The occupiers have already removed Ukrainian books from the schools and libraries of the Luhansk oblast, parents of schoolchildren are threatened with reprisals if they refuse to teach their children according to the "LPR" school curriculum.

Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Shelling of Mykolaiv and the Mykolaiv region continues.
On the night of August 22nd, approximately at 03:00 a.m., Mykolaiv came under enemy fire. As a result of which the cafe was set on fire, it is also currently known that the territory of the enterprise was hit.
Yesterday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., enemy shelling took place on the outskirts of the village of Kostyantynivka of the Pervomai community. Hits were in open areas.
Yesterday evening at 06:20 p.m. the enemy shelled the city of Bashtanka and hit the private sector. As a result, the roof of a two-story residential building and a car caught fire. After the fire, the building cannot be restored. About 10 houses were also damaged. One child was slightly injured.

Yesterday, there were shellings outside the settlements in the territory of the Shirokiv community. At approximately 09:00 a.m., 01:00 and 09:00 p.m., the russians shelled the village of Shiroke. The hits were in the already destroyed service center and residential buildings.
Also during the day, there were shellings on the outskirts of the village of Novooleksandrivka of the Ingul community.

The name of a five-year-old girl from Kryvyi Rih was entered into the National Register of Records for a concert staged in Lviv. Maria Makeieva is the youngest volunteer who raised more than 35 thousand hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with her performance.
From September 1, students of communal schools in Dnipro will study remotely.
In Nikopol, despite the daily shelling, the dance school continues to operate. The trainers arranged free classes for the IDPs, and maintain online communication with those who left.
Kirovohrad Oblast

The organizers plan to transfer the funds to help the military from the Kirovohrad Oblast, who are currently defending Ukraine from the russian aggressor. Not only Oleksandria residents joined the fundraising, but also entrepreneurs and craftsmen who donated from 20 to 50% and even 100% of their earnings that day for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The coordinator of the AUI "Active Community" provided IDPs from Zaporizhzhia, the Mykolaiv and Kharkiv oblasts with advice on obtaining documents on the status of an internally displaced person, as well as information on the available resources of employers in the oblast center and surrounding communities.
Poltava Oblast
In Poltava, on August 22, they plan to defuse an anti-tank mine from the times of past wars. The ammunition was found the day before in an open-air area in Poltava.
A resident of the Poltava Oblast shouted "Glory to russia" in the center of Khorol, he was beaten, and then he recorded a video for the occupiers. He was sentenced to 5 months in prison. Lviv Oblast

In early December 2021, he received the highest state award from the hands of President Volodymyr Zelensky - the title of Hero of Ukraine. The serviceman joined the forces of resistance to the russian invasion back in 2014, when he was 18 years old. Dmytro Kotsyubailo is the first volunteer to receive the title of Hero during his lifetime. He has never been in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, having gone through the hottest spots of the war against the russians as part of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps "Right Sector".
