Northern oblasts

Kyiv

On the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, a minute of silence was observed on Kyiv's Independence Square in memory of the fallen soldiers. 

EU High Representative Josep Borrell arrived in Kyiv to meet with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Together they honored the memory of Ukrainian soldiers.

Kyiv Oblast

The Kyiv Oblast joined the nationwide minute of silence in memory of the fallen servicemen. The event was held at the Memorial to the Defenders in the Bucha territorial community. The event was attended by Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration (KOMA), representatives of the local self-government, members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, State Emergency Service, National Police, National Guard, and residents of the region.

A charity fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began in Irpin's central square. Volunteers from the Edelweiss charity organization sell sweets and patriotic souvenirs. All the money raised will go to support the army and repair the vehicles used to transport defenders from the battlefield. 

The Azerbaijani state-owned company SOCAR continues to help Irpin. This time, the Azerbaijanis volunteered to repair the Irpin outpatient clinic. The Azerbaijani partners are allocating UAH 60 million for the repair of this clinic. According to the project, which the city previously handed over to benefactors, these funds will be used to overhaul and insulate the facades, arrange a simple shelter, repair ventilation, as well as to provide landscaping, parking, and repair of entrance lobbies.

Zhytomyr Oblast

Vasyl Polishchuk, a junior sergeant of the 30th Detached Mechanized Brigade, who fell in August 2022 in the Kharkiv Oblast, drawing fire on himself and thereby giving his comrades time to prepare for battle, was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine by the President.

In Zviahel, the charity fair "Together We Bring Victory Closer" raised more than UAH 100,000 to help the 30th Mechanized Brigade.

Chernihiv Oblast

During the day of September 30, russians shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast seven times. The military recorded 41 explosions in the territories of the Novhorod-Siversk, Semenivka, and Snovsk communities.

On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, citizens of Chernihiv joined the nationwide minute of silence at 9:00 a.m. and honored the memory of the fallen.

In Sosnytsia, the Alley of Heroes was opened on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. Banners with images and information about 39 soldiers who have fallen since 2014 were placed there.

Sumy Oblast

On September 30, the russian army shelled 7 communities of the Sumy Oblast. 75 explosions were recorded.

At night and in the morning of October 1, the russian army fired three times at the settlements of the Sumy Oblast. 10 explosions were recorded. The Seredyna-Buda and Krasnopillia communities were under fire. 

On the afternoon of October 1, russians attacked the town of Druzhba in the Shostka Raion, Sumy Oblast. A local resident was wounded as a result of the shelling.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

Last night, the enemy launched a missile attack on the city of Kharkiv. Three missiles, according to preliminary information S-300, hit the territory of a civilian enterprise, and a fire broke out. The information is being clarified.

During the day, the enemy shelled the settlements of the Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kupiansk, and Izyum raions with artillery, mortars and other weapons.

As a result of artillery shelling of the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv Raion, two outbuildings, a fence and a barn were damaged, and a fire broke out.

In the village of Basove, Bohodukhiv Raion, a private house and outbuildings were damaged by shelling.

In the villages of Kindrashivka and Hlushkivka in Kupiansk Raion, dry grass in a field was burning because of shelling.

In the forest near the village of Oskil, Izium Raion, a 52-year-old local resident stepped on an anti-personnel mine of the butterfly type. He was hospitalized with moderate severity injuries.

Mine clearance is underway. Over the past day, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service surveyed more than 2.7 hectares of territory and defused 61 explosive devices.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past day, on September 30, the Russian army shelled 19 towns and villages of the Donetsk Oblast, damaging more than 70 civilian facilities. Three residents of the oblast were wounded, including two children, aged 13 and 17.

Since February 24, 2022, the russians have killed 1,726 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast, and wounded another 4,188 people. The number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In Kostiantynivka, a Russian aerial bomb damaged 18 houses, an enterprise, and a power line over the past day.

Two infrastructure facilities In Siversk and two house in Zvanivka were ruined. In the morning, 2 Shahed drones hit a house in Lyman – there is information about the dead and wounded, the exact data is being established.

At night, the russian army shelled the village of Kindrativka, and a family of four was trapped under the rubble of their house. All of them survived. Also, 15 private houses were damaged, including 2 high-rise buildings in Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka.

In Lyman, Donetsk Oblast, which was liberated a year ago, the buildings destroyed by shelling continue to be surveyed. Over 85% of the houses are damaged, and 17 out of 286 apartment buildings are beyond repair.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

One person was wounded in Lastochkyne, and a school in Novoselivka Persha of the Ocheretyne community was damaged.

In the morning, a massive shelling of Avdiivka took place. In the Kurakhove community, the villages of Veselyi Hai, Hanivka, Kostiantynopolske, Dachne, and Dalne came under fire. There were no casualties.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Russian shelling damaged three high-rise buildings in Toretsk and 1 private house in Petrivka.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

In the Volnovakha direction, one person was injured in Novoukrainka of the Vugledar community. Under fire there are Prechystivka, Bohoyavlenka and Vugledar.

Mariupol

The invaders destroyed the last Ukrainian mural in Mariupol. The mural against violence was painted by artist Oleksandr Korban in 2020 on the wall of a high-rise building at 107 Myru Avenue. It is part of the overall ensemble at Svobody Square. As well as the Milan mural, which the russians destroyed before that. The mural depicts a woman who was able to break the cycle of violence and start a new life. It was a symbol of freedom, peace and the right to happiness.

A festive photo session for older Mariupol citizens took place in Kyiv and Kropyvnytskyi for the Day of the Elderly. Oleksandr Mayorov, a professional photographer from Kropyvnytskyi, conveyed the individuality of each person, because the life story was felt in all the photos.

Luhansk Oblast

Airplanes and helicopters of the russians hit Novoselivske, Nevske, Novolyubivka, Bilohorivka almost along the entire front line.

Starting today, the fall conscription has begun in the russian federation and in the temporarily occupied territories. The invaders carefully collected data on school graduates in the spring of the current and previous years. Information about those who have reached the age of majority was clarified during the so-called "first elections" in September.

Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On the night of October 1, one "Shahed 131/136" UAV was destroyed by means of the air defense forces in the Mykolaiv Oblast.

As a result of the impact, the warehouse of the agricultural enterprise and the fence were damaged. In addition, there was a fire of dry grass, which was promptly extinguished. Yesterday, September 30, enemy artillery shelling was recorded in the water area of the ​​Ochakiv community. There are no casualties.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the past day, September 30, the russian military attacked 27 settlements of the Zaporizhia Oblast, including the regional center, 157 times. One person died and eight were injured.

As a result of a night rocket attack on Zaporizhzhia, a fire broke out at one of the infrastructure facilities. It is known about one victim, 35 years old.

During the shelling of Mala Tokmachka, an elderly local resident was killed, and one woman was injured.

Five men and a woman were injured in Matviivka territorial community. Nine fires as a result of russian shelling occurred yesterday in Zaporizhzhia.

Odesa Oblast

14 shock "Shakhed" were destroyed over the Odesa Oblast during a night attack by the russian army.

Three bulkers with Ukrainian grain and iron ore left the ports of Chornomorsk and Pivdenny on October 1. These vessels are Azara, Ying Hao 01 and Eneida.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr. Josep Borrell, during his visit to Odesa, assured that the European Union will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle for territorial integrity. He also condemned russia's destruction of Odesa's cultural monuments.

Kherson Oblast

On September 30, russian troops shelled the Kherson Oblast 102 times. Residential quarters, an educational institution building, a stadium, the territory of a factory and a garage cooperative, a store, a critical infrastructure object in the Kherson Raion, as well as five social sphere objects in the Beryslav Raion were targeted. A person is wounded.

Early in the morning, the russian army attacked Stanislav in the Kherson Oblast. Eight hits were recorded. Two men were injured, they were hospitalized. Three private houses were damaged, there were fires that were extinguished by rescuers. The projectiles also severed power lines, and the energy workers repaired them.

As of 8:00 a.m., the russian military dropped ten aerial bombs on Olhivka, Mykolaivka, Burhunka, and Beryslav in the Kherson Oblast. There are no dead or injured, there is destruction.

During the day, the enemy dropped explosives from a drone on residential buildings in Kherson. The attack caused a fire in the Dnipro Raion. Employees of the State Emergency Service rescued the mother and three children, including a four-month-old baby.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

russian troops attacked Kryvyi Rih with drones on the night of October 1. Civil infrastructure is destroyed due to UAV hits. A fire broke out. Rescuers localized it. One of the drones was destroyed by air defense forces.

Enemies hit Nikopol and the Velyka Mykhailivka community of the Synelnykove Raion with heavy artillery. The power line and gas pipeline were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.

Kirovohrad Oblast

An alley in memory of the soldiers who died for Ukraine was created in the center of the village of Novhorodka in the Kirovohrad Oblast. 58 portraits of defenders were placed here.

A youth space was opened in the village of Onykieve, the Novoukrainka Raion. It was created by young people themselves. There they organize training in medicine and psychology, play board games, and watch movies.

Poltava Oblast

A viburnum alley was created in the city park "Peremoha" and the first 20 bushes were planted as a symbol of memory of the fallen soldiers. Such an action was organized for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

Today in Poltava, a mural was opened to the soldier and musician Maksym Krasnokutskyi. The mural was created on the building of Poltava Children's Music School No. 3 named after Borys Hmyra, where the soldier studied.

Cherkasy Oblast

"Park of trophy equipment" appeared in Victory Park in Cherkasy. Tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, infantry fighting vehicles and other equipment that were destroyed in the most difficult directions are presented here. The exhibition of damaged enemy equipment will operate in the park on a permanent basis. It is planned to replenish it with new exhibits.

"Thank you to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to teach and learn!". The event under this name took place in Cherkasy on the occasion of the Day of Education Workers. Educators were presented with medals "For conscientious work", certificates of the executive committee and thanks from the mayor. Instead, they gave the military drones, camouflage nets, "kikimoras" [camouflage suits], goodies and children's drawings.

Vinnytsia Oblast

Five families of the fallen defenders from Vinnytsia were awarded orders "For Courage" of the 3rd degree. Children, wives and parents of soldiers received them.

Western Oblasts

Volyn Oblast

Two teachers from Volyn received honorary titles from the President of Ukraine. In particular, Alla Horbach, a geography teacher at Novovolynsk Lyceum No. 1, received the honorary title of "People's Teacher of Ukraine," and Oksana Mala, a mathematics teacher at Lutsk Lyceum No. 9, received the title of "Honored Teacher of Ukraine."

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The Military cross started in Khmelnytskyi. The event is dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, which is celebrated today.

Kamianets-Podilskyi

On the facade of the Kamianets-Podilskyi Lyceum No. 15, memorial plaques were opened to Heroes from Kamianets who died for Ukraine: Kostiantyn Ahapov and Valentyn Hlukhovskyi.

An Interactive Book of Memory was opened in Kamianets-Podilskyi, which contains the biographies of fallen Heroes-compatriots. From today, in accordance with the decision of the city authorities, a memorial bell will be rung for each Hero-citizen of Kamianets.

With the support of the Department of Housing and Communal Services, relatives and friends planted 27 Red Royal maple seedlings in memory of the fallen 7-year-old Hero from Kamianets - Vladyslav Neborskyi.

Chernivtsi Oblast

In the Mamaivtsi territorial community, memorial plaques were opened to the fallen soldiers: Volodymyr Piaz, Vitalii Katriuk, Serhii Savchuk, Volodymyr Boyko, Mykhailo Pits, Ivan Dimed, Oleksandr Samoilenko, Serhii Misevich.

Chernivtsi city council allocated UAH 15 million, as well as six cars for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The quartet of the Chernivtsi Oblast philharmonic named after Dmytro Hnatyuk gave a concert for the wounded defenders. Every week, musicians from Bukovyna come to institutions where military personnel are being treated, so that the soldiers can enjoy the melodies, rest and distract themselves.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, a fire caused by a ruptured oil pipeline was extinguished. It is known about six victims. 

Two boys, 8 and 11 years old, from the village of Strymba, who received burns due to an oil pipeline burst, are in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Children's Hospital. Their condition is extremely difficult. Children have 80-85% of body burns.

More than 30 craftsmen sold their products in the center of Ivano-Frankivsk to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The charity fair was organized by volunteers of the "Public Initiative of Galicia" to purchase tactical medicine for the military.

Ternopil Oblast

A memorial plaque dedicated to Vitalii Stadnyk was solemnly opened at the building of the oblast prosecutor's office. The man worked in the prosecutor's office for 17 years. After the full-scale russian invasion, he voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On October 1, a year has passed since the day of the death of the Warrior.

Zakarpattia Oblast

The "Caritas Czech Republic" charitable foundation is ready to continue cooperation on the creation of housing for forcibly displaced people in the Zakarpattia Oblast. The fund plans to finance repair works and the installation of sewage treatment facilities in the premises, which will later be able to accommodate people from war zones.
