Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

In addition, more than 1,000 children in the community will have access to out-of-school education as the lyceums will be used to organize clubs, hobby groups, and activities.

On October 1, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the Warriors of Light memorial was unveiled in Kotsiubynske. The memorial is dedicated to the residents of Kotsiubynske who gave their lives in the russian-Ukrainian war since 2014.


Zhytomyr Oblast

As a result of a high-explosive bomb attack on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kupyansk Raion, a house and an outbuilding were damaged and fires broke out.

A "Claas" combine harvester hit a mine in a field near the settlements of Donets and Blahodatne in Chuguiv Raion while working in the field. The driver of the combine received minor injuries and did not need hospitalization.


Donetsk Oblast

Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

Mykolaiv Oblast

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The russian army shelled towns and villages in Zaporizhzhya Oblast 144 times yesterday. Orikhove and Robotyne suffered four air strikes. Two residents of Orikhove were wounded in the shelling.

In the Zaporizhzhya sector, russian troops tried to regain lost ground in the areas of Novodarivka and Verbove, but were unsuccessful.


Odesa Oblast

In Odesa, a memorial to the fallen Heroes of Ukraine was consecrated in the Glory and Freedom Park, and a memorial sign in honor of fallen sailors was unveiled. The flags of the military and special units defending independence and sovereignty were raised.

Kherson Oblast

In the morning, russian troops shelled Zolota Balka in Kherson Oblast, wounding a 59-year-old woman. She was hospitalized.

Around 10:00 am, russian troops hit a transport infrastructure facility in Kherson. As a result of the shelling, 4 people were wounded, two of them are in serious condition. These are police officers. The impact was so strong that it penetrated the armor of the police car.

Rescuers extinguished a fire at a transport company and car service center in Kherson after the morning shelling. The building and seven cars were on fire.


Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Three russian drones shot down air defense forces in the sky over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the night of October 2.

Vinnytsia Oblast

President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" to two fallen defenders from Vinnytsia, Maksym Rymskyi and Oleg Tarakhkal. Their candidacies were submitted for consideration by the brothers whose lives the Heroes saved.


Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

President Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine posthumously to a fighter from Rivne, Nazar Nebozhynskyi. Last year, in March, a fighter saved his 20-year-old comrades at the cost of his own life.

In the village of Sukhoverkhiv of the Kitsman territorial community, memorial plaques were installed in honor of defenders from the same village who died in the russian-Ukrainian war: Dmytro Daria, Yuri Rakhmaev, Oleksandr Unguryan.

In the town of Vashkivka in Vyzhnych raion, there is a rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers who lost an arm or a leg during combat operations. Patients are prepared for prosthetics, and then taught to live with prostheses.

For the first time, a Ukrainian-Latvian business forum was held in Bukovina. Representatives of diplomatic institutions, executive authorities, local self-government, business circles of Latvia and Ukraine took part in it. It is about expanding cooperation, in particular in the social, medical and economic spheres.


Ternopil Oblast

A memorial plaque to Semen Zhuk, a participant in the national liberation struggle, was opened and consecrated in Bolozhivka of the Shumske community. He fought in the army of the Ukrainian People's Republic and was awarded the Cross of Simon Petliura. In June 1941, he was shot as an enemy of the people. This is already the second board on the facade of the gymnasium. The first one was installed in honor of Ivan Anin, a soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
