Northern oblasts

Kyiv

A street in Kyiv was named in honor of the legendary "Ghost of Kyiv" Colonel Oleksandr Oksanchenko. He was a pilot of the 831st Tactical Aviation Brigade, Hero of Ukraine, a defender of the capital, and one of the "Ghosts of Kyiv."


Kyiv Oblast

At the end of January, "education security officers" will start working at 9 schools in the Kyiv Oblast. They will receive appropriate training and instruction, including first medical aid and explosive ordnance disposal.

In Irpin, 8 containers have already been set up for collecting clothes, footwear and other things. The collected and suitable for further use items will be transferred to charitable organizations that help socially vulnerable population groups. You can donate clothes, shoes, bedding, bags and toys by putting them in the containers.


Zhytomyr Oblast

In Korosten, volunteers have delivered more than 5,000 tactical first aid kits to the front since the start of the full-scale russian invasion. Also, at the request of the military, they make kikimoras, balaclavas, warm clothing, weave camouflage nets, and pack tactical first aid kits based on the Israeli model.

Five Baranivka female residents prepare home-cooked meals for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, packing them in three- and five-liter buckets and sending them to the military through volunteers. The record for the volunteers is 130 buckets of food prepared at one time.


Chernihiv Oblast

Troops of the russian federation shelled four villages in the border area of the Chernihiv Oblast.


Sumy Oblast

Over the course of the day on January 20, the russian military shelled the Sumy Oblast 37 times. 173 explosions were recorded. Eight communities came under fire.

At night, the russian army fired 2 times at the Bilopillia community. 11 explosions of mortar shells were recorded.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv Oblast

Over the past day, russian troops attacked close to 15 settlements in the Kharkiv Oblast with artillery and mortars. In particular, on the night of January 21, Tyschenivka in Kupiansk district came under enemy fire, damaging a gas pipeline and a private house. There were no casualties.

Vovchansk was shelled with mortars and hit by an aerial bomb. As a result of the hits, a private house caught fire, which firefighters could not reach because of repeated russian shelling attacks.

Over the last day, In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 21 russian army attacks near Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv Oblast, and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk Oblast.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the surrender of the village of Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv Oblast. Before the start of the full-scale war, 45 people lived there. The Ukrainian military moved to other positions in order not to risk their lives in vain.


Donetsk Oblast

In total, during the past day, the occupying forces have carried out 11 strikes on the Donetsk Oblast. Six settlements were under fire. 34 civilian objects were damaged. Two people were injured.

Over the past day, the russian army in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts attacked the Armed Forces more than 60 times. Avdiivka remains the hottest section of the front. 23 combat clashes took place here.


Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

On the night of January 21, Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk Oblast was shelled. There were no casualties. The russian army targeted educational institutions and human settlements with S-300 missiles.


Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

Yesterday, russian troops hit Novohrodivka with three S-300 missiles, injuring two people. 25 private houses, an administrative building, and a power line were damaged.

Tonight, January 21, the russian occupying forces shelled Selydove. Two hits were made on a private logistics company. As a result of the shelling, multi-story and private residential buildings, warehouses and commercial buildings were damaged. There are no dead or injured. Myrnohrad was also under fire.


Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

The enemy hit Toretsk with Grad MLRS, shells hit two houses.

Shcherbynivka was attacked by the occupiers with artillery and Grad MLRS. Two private houses were destroyed.


Luhansk Oblast

The family of the border guard, Hero of Ukraine from the Luhansk Oblast received a certificate for housing from the President of Ukraine. The widow came with her children to the ceremony. Now they live in Novovolynsk, where they moved from Zolote of the Luhansk Oblast.

A street in occupied Sievierodonetsk was named in honor of Dmytro Siryk, a radio worker and military man. He defended Ukraine and died in April at the front. The former Vilesov Street was named after him, in total, more than 60 toponyms were renamed in the community.


Southern oblasts

Mykolaiv Oblast

On January 20, in the Mykolaiv Oblast, the russian military struck the water area and the village of the Kutsurub community. Also, on the night of January 21, the russian military struck the Snihurivka community with drones. There are no injured or dead.


Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Yesterday, russian military personnel struck 95 strikes on 16 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A 71-year-old local resident was injured as a result of enemy artillery shelling in Huliaipole. Two reports were received about the destruction of residential buildings.

A new attack by the russian army near Verbove was repulsed by the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporiazhzhia direction.


Odesa Oblast

Eight russian ships are on combat duty in the Black Sea. Among them is one surface missile carrier with eight Kalibr missiles.

The Odesa Oblast authorities have asked the UN for help in repairing premises that will be used for temporary residence of displaced persons. This and other issues were discussed with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, who visited Odesa as part of his visit to Ukraine.

In Odesa, a municipal monthly bonus of UAH 3,000 has been introduced for young people who, after receiving a diploma, come to work in city educational institutions.


Kherson Oblast

During the day, the russian military shelled the territory of the Kherson Oblast 76 times. 365 shells were fired from mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, tanks and drones. They attacked residential quarters of settlements in the region. There were no casualties or injuries.

The head of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin handed over a hundred FPV drones to the special units of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine. Marine units also received Mavic drones. UAH 2 million were allocated for their purchase by the Skadovsk, Verkhnii Rohachyk and Vynohradove communities.


Central Oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of January 21, the russian army attacked the Marhanets community, the Nikopol Raion, with drones and artillery. Five houses, two barns and a garage were damaged.

A power line was damaged in Marhanets. More than 11,000 homes were without electricity. Electricity has already been restored to most families.

Injured, exhausted and hungry horses from war zones are being evacuated to an animal shelter in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Here they are fed and treated. Currently, there are about thirty horses living in the shelter.


Kirovohrad Oblast

The Kirovohrad Oblast was under russian fire this afternoon. There were no injuries or deaths. Civilian objects were not damaged.

All settlements of the Kropyvnytskyi Raion are now with energy supply. The cause of the blackout was ice on the wires and, as a result, the fall of electrical poles. Some settlements were without electricity for more than 10 days.


Poltava Oblast

The President presented housing certificates to the Heroes of Ukraine and the families of fallen Heroes from the Poltava Oblast.

Lieutenant colonel Vitalii Savych, major Mykola Liubarets, and junior sergeant Ihor Levchenko received housing certificates from the President. Certificates for apartments were also received by members of the families of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine - the families of junior lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vadym Blyshchuk and National Guard soldier Artem Amelin. In total, the president handed out 30 housing certificates.

In Poltava, a free cutting and sewing training course was organized as part of the project "Reintegration of male and female war veterans through the creation of educational opportunities."


Western Oblasts

Lviv Oblast

In Lviv, the longest flag with the signatures of military personnel and schoolchildren was unfurled and set a Ukrainian record. The 20-meter flag was carried from the Shevchenko monument to the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theater. The event was dedicated to the Day of Unity and the 105th anniversary of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the West Ukrainian People's Republic, which will be celebrated on January 22.


Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Petro Skrypka from Azov, who organized a walking "Marathon of Goodness" to help the Ukrainian military, reached Khmelnytskyi. He walks from Kyiv through Khmelnytskyi to Ivano-Frankivsk to collect funds and help Ukrainian defenders. He informs people about his marathon thanks to social networks.


Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

Along the pedestrian zone of the bridge to Pasichna in Ivano-Frankivsk, relatives of prisoners of war, former prisoners and other townspeople formed a chain of unity. They held placards in support of prisoners of war and sang the national anthem.


Zakarpattia Oblast

In almost 40 territorial communities of the Zakarpattia Oblast, a regional survey of veterans, family members of dead, captured, and missing defenders of Ukraine was conducted. The goal is to gather information about their immediate needs. They reported the need for rehabilitation, dental prosthesis, medical, material, social and psychological assistance.

The troops of the 128th Separate Zakarpattia Mountain Assault Brigade organized a holiday for children in the front zone. They handed over gifts from Poland that arrived in Ukraine as part of the "Holiday on the Line of Fire" campaign organized by volunteers of the Warsaw Uniters Foundation. Gift sets with sweets, vitamins, soft toys, children's stationery, etc. were received by children from villages adjacent to the front in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
