Northern oblasts

Kyiv

Pigeons from Kyiv's main Christmas tree are being sold to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They plan to transfer 100% of the proceeds to the "Army of Drones", which help the Armed Forces monitor the front line. There are 100 such pigeons in total. The cost of one pigeon is 500 hryvnias, but you can donate more. Those wishing to buy pigeons are asked to leave a comment under the post of the head of the "Folk Ukraine" company, Ihor Dobrutskyi.

An innovative shelter is being created in the library of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, which will become an educational hub. The smart shelter will operate on a permanent basis and will bring together creative youth both in times of danger and in times of peace.


Kyiv Oblast

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited Bucha and Borodianka today. He got acquainted with the destruction that the settlements of the Kyiv Oblast suffered during the russian occupation.


Zhytomyr Oblast

The commander of the anti-aircraft missile unit from the Zhytomyr Oblast was killed in the fighting near Kupiansk. A native of the village of Raiky, Dmytro Yatskanich, born in 1985, sustained a gunshot wound incompatible with life.

The IDPs from Kherson were sheltered in a boarding house in the Zhytomyr Oblast. The Korosten geriatric nursing home opened its doors to residents from the territorial centers of Korabelnyi and Suvorivskyi district councils in the city.

In Zhytomyr, another program was launched to help IDPs who were forced to leave their homes because of the war.  

For a month, the cultural institutions of the Chudniv community held a charity event called "Let's Sing Carols to Support the Armed Forces of Ukraine". Cultural workers spent a month caroling and giving generously, thus collecting 120,000 hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces.


Sumy Oblast

During the day of January 21, the Russians carried out 115 attacks on the border settlements of the Sumy Oblast.

After 8 a.m., russians fired artillery at the Seredyna-Buda community

The Esman community was shelled with mortars and tube artillery. As a result of shelling, a 17-year-old teenager was wounded by shrapnel in the village of Studenok. One residential building which was destroyed by a mortar shell. About 10 more houses were damaged. In one household, a cow and a small calf were killed.

Russians shelled the Novoslobidske community with mortars; 40 explosions were recorded there.

Nine russian mines exploded in the border area of the Krasnopillia community.

Russians fired a machine gun in the direction of Shalyhyne community.


Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

The enemy continues to shell the civilian population of the border towns and villages of the Kupiansk, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv raions of the oblast.

Over the past day, attacks on Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Dvorichna, Veterynarne and other settlements of the Kharkiv Oblast were recorded. In Kupiansk, a milk-canning plant and two private houses were damaged.

Private buildings were destroyed in Vovchansk. A 46-year-old civilian was wounded and hospitalized in the village of Veterynarne.

Mine clearance continues in the oblast. Over the last day, the State Emergency Service's pyrotechnics defused 14 explosive devices. Yesterday, in the village of Kamianka, Izium Raion, two men aged 49 and 50 hit an unknown explosive device. They were hospitalized in the state of moderate severity.

Today, U.S. Army General Keith Kellogg and a delegation of U.S. servicemen and military experts visited Izium, which was liberated from the occupiers. The American partners saw with their own eyes the extent of the destruction caused by russian shelling and occupation and got acquainted with the evidence of russian war crimes in the Kharkiv Oblast.


Donetsk Oblast

The police in the Donetsk Oblast documented 19 russian attacks per day. The occupying forces of the russian federation hit 5 settlements, there are casualties among the civilian population. The occupiers fired from aircraft, Grad MLRS, and artillery. 4 civilian facilities were destroyed or damaged - a residential building, a lyceum, a factory workshop, and a police administrative building.

On January 21, the russians wounded 2 residents of the Donetsk Oblast — in Bakhmut.

In total, since February 24, the russians have killed 1,316 civilians of the Donetsk region, and wounded another 2,872.

It is still not possible to establish the number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha.


Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of the Pokrovsk Raion, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka and Marinka in the Donetsk Oblast came under enemy fire.

At night, periodic shelling of the Marinka community took place. There are no casualties.

Avdiivka suffered the biggest number of attacks. There were fourteen. Enemies hit the city with artillery and Grad MRLS. The lyceum, the factory shop and the police department were destroyed. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.

The town of Krasnohorivka in the east of the Pokrovsk Raion is one of the hottest settlements. There are still residents under russian bombs, including families with children. The policemen gave the children of Krasnohorivka gifts from policewomen and caring people.


Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the Bakhmut direction, the positions of our troops in the areas of more than 15 settlements were hit by fire. Among them are Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, New York, Druzhba and Zalizne of the Donetsk region.

A house in Bakhmut was damaged in the Horlivka direction. The tense situation is in the Soledar community. Shelling of Paraskoviivka and the outskirts of Soledar continues.

As a result of artillery shelling, we have two wounded in Bakhmut.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

Artillery shelling of Vuhledar and the outskirts of the city was recorded in the Volnovakha direction. There are no casualties.


Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion

In the Lysychansk direction, it was loud in the communities of Siversk and Zvanivska. There are no casualties.


Southern oblasts

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

At night, the russian invaders targeted the Zaporizhzhia Oblast with S-300 missiles again. As a result of the explosion in the village of Lezhyne, people's homes and the infrastructure of the village were damaged. The blast wave damaged 10 buildings: broken windows, doors, fences, roofs, cars. Water mains, gas mains and power lines in the public building sector were damaged.

In the morning, the village of Komyshuvaha was shelled again. Residential buildings and infrastructure were gutted there, but people survived.

In total, there were 172 attacks on Zaporizhzhia communities yesterday.

During the current day, the enemy carried out five airstrikes on the positions of the Defense Forces and a missile attack on critical infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

The enemy is conducting unsuccessful offensive actions in the Zaporizhia, Avdiivka and Lyman areas. In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the occupiers are trying to storm the positions of the Armed Forces in small groups. The invaders had partial success in one of the areas, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces retook their positions and pushed back the invaders.

The russians are massively dispersing information about a large-scale offensive on Zaporizhzhia. This is not true, but is another information attack.

More than 16 settlements were affected by artillery fire, in particular, Vilne Pole, Vremivka and Novopil in the Donetsk Oblast and Huliaipole, Pavlivka, Stepove, Orihiv and Mala Tokmachka.

In Zaporizhzhia, an exhibition of anti-war posters "Les arts contre la guerre/Art against the war" was opened in the library on Gogol Street. The work was presented in various European countries before.


Mykolaiv Oblast

As of 08:00 am on January 22 no shelling was recorded on the territory of the Mykolaiv Oblast.

Members of the Mykolaiv religious communities and volunteers from Kovel delivered firewood, potbelly stoves and grocery sets to the residents of Oleksandrivka and Stanislav in the Kherson Oblast. Firewood was shipped to the same location together with local residents, potbelly stoves and products were handed out personally.

On January 21, a civilian car was blown up by a mine in the Shevchenkove community, near the village of Luubomirivka. Four people were injured, including a baby.


Kherson Oblast

In the direction of Kherson, the russian military shelled Dudchany, Monastyrske, Antonivka, Berehove, Yantarne and Kherson with multiple rocket launchers and barrel artillery during the day.

The troops of the russian federation struck the population centers of the Beryslav Raion. Houses and farm buildings were damaged there. As a result of detonation on russian mines, two people were injured.

Yesterday, 110 people were evacuated from the Kherson Oblast. In particular, 36 people were taken to Odesa by motor vehicle , 27 people from Kherson to Khmelnytsky by train, and 20 residents of Berislav were evacuated to Kyiv.


Central Oblasts 

Poltava Oblast

Poltava Oblast bid farewell to Ukrainian Heroes. Chief Sergeant Bohdan Nadutik was from the Myrhorod community. A 48-year-old soldier died on January 8 while performing a combat mission in Soledar.

37-year-old Anatolii Sukhomlyn from the Komyshnia community died on January 18. It happened in the Bakhmut area. The fighter had the rank of senior sergeant.

Two soldiers from the Poltava Oblast were posthumously awarded state award, the Order of Courage. They were fighters from the Reshetylivka and Petrivka-Romanska communities, sergeant Andrii Bukhalo and senior sergeant Maksym Zinchenko. Eternal glory to the Heroes.

The Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children operates in Gadiach. Children who find themselves in difficult life circumstances can stay there and receive help - from psychological to legal. Last year, such support was provided to 66 children.

In the geriatric boarding house, efforts are made to ensure that the elderly receive proper care and attention. Major renovation of the premises in the main building is currently underway. 9.4 million hryvnias were allocated for this purpose. It is planned to provide 30 beds, including for internally displaced persons who need care.   

61 dental departments and dental offices in 27 territorial communities of the Poltava Oblast will receive consumables and medical supplies for the treatment of local residents and IDPs. Such assistance within the framework of the "Common Help UA" project, launched by the "Astarta-Kyiv" company and the "Believe in Yourself" charitable foundation, recently came from benefactors from the USA. The humanitarian cargo consisted of 22 pallets of materials, more than 9,000 items. The total cost is 90 thousand dollars.



Western Oblast

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to start the construction of two AR 1000 power units based on the technology of the American company Westinghouse at the Khmelnytskyi NPP. These will be the first power units based on a new technology for Ukraine.

Representatives of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Military Administration handed over the anti-drone complex to one of the Territorial Defense units of the oblast. The KVS ANTIDRON-G6 drone control channel suppression hardware complex will help Ukrainian military to maintain defense in the Kherson direction. Funds for its purchase were collected in the charity fund "Help with foresters". One such hardware complex costs 485 thousand hryvnias. Foresters of the oblast have already purchased two such anti-drones for the servicemen from Khmelnytskyi.  


Kamianets-Podilskyi

Children from dangerous areas of Kherson and Kharkiv oblasts are currently undergoing psychological rehabilitation under the program "For Children of War" in Kamianets-Podilskyi. This became possible thanks to the financial assistance of the charitable organization "SOS Children's Towns". The "Rokada" charitable foundation joined in providing psychological help to such children.


Rivne Oblast 

In Rivne, a solemn farewell was held for two fallen Heroes. Soldiers Mykola Siruk (25-year-old) and Dmytro Efimenko (38-year-old) died at the front. Eternal memory to Heroes. 

9-year-old Marta Pylypchuk, a schoolgirl from Varash, sells her hand-painted pictures by numbers, and directs the funds to the needs of the military. The girl has already managed to earn more than 50 thousand hryvnias. Her paintings were bought not only in various cities of Ukraine, but also in Germany and Turkey. The girl started drawing recently. In total, she has already sold 71 works.  



Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna mourns for Hero, who gave his life defending his Motherland from the russian invasion. A solemn farewell to soldier Viacheslav Burdeinyi was held in the village of Cheponosy.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, paid a working visit to Bukovyna. She began her trip with a visit to the Chernivtsi geriatric boarding house, which currently houses 176 people, including 65 IDPs. She also visited the "City of Good" support center for women and children in Chernivtsi, which sheltered 320 IDPs, including 134 children.


The "I - Mariupol" support center for internally displaced persons has been operating in Chernivtsi for more than three months. During this time, more than a thousand IDPs from Mariupol registered here. In the center, they receive humanitarian aid, medical, psychological and legal assistance free of charge. The organization also has a children's room where children can be left with teachers. 

In Chernivtsi, the charity event "Evening of Gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine" was held, at which 1,292,000 hryvnias were collected for 80 separate airborne assault brigades. Famous Ukrainian stars performed during the event. An auction of valuables was also held. There were balls with the signatures of "Dynamo Kyiv" players and Andrii Shevchenko, Scriabin's (Ukrainian musician) t-shirt given by his mother, a bottle of wine from 1889, and others interesting lots. 


Zakarpattia Oblast

On January 22, a commemorative plaque was opened in Tiachiv to the fallen commander of the "Karpatska Sich" battalion Oleh Kutsyn. It was installed in Tiachiv Lyceum №1 named after Vasyl Grenja-Donskyi. The 56-year-old commander died in the fight for Ukraine in the Izium direction. A petition was registered on the President's website to award Oleh Kutsyn the title of Hero of Ukraine. It received more than 25,000 votes.

The drawing of a young resident of Mukachevo, dedicated to Ukrainian defenders, was recognized as one of the best in Zakarpattia. Anna Mykulanynets, a student of the "Fine Arts" group of the Mukachevo Center for Children's and Youth Creativity, won the 2nd place in the oblast competition on the topic: "Defenders of Ukraine: History and Present" in the "Drawing" category.
