Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni visited Kyiv Oblast. 70 generators were handed over for the needs of educational and medical institutions of the Kyiv Oblast. The purchase of autonomous power sources took place thanks to the international company Solvd in cooperation with the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco (USA).
British investigative journalist and author John Sweeney and Byline TV reporter Caolan Robertson came to the State University of Taxation in Irpin to see and document the consequences of russian aggression with their own eyes. A documentary audio series about the defense of Irpin – «Opir [Resistance]» appeared on the «Megogo» platform. It was created by Megogo Audio in cooperation with the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The three-part film tells the stories of Ukrainians who joined the Armed Forces after February 24 and defended Irpin from the invaders in February and March 2022. In particular, there are four real stories and voices of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who talk about life and service during the defense of Irpin.
Zhytomyr Oblast
Malyn said goodbye to commander Kostyantyn Vyskushenko. He went to the front in April 2022. On February 10, a soldier died in the Klishchiivka raion of the Donetsk Oblast. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Eternal glory to the Hero.
In Zhytomyr, state awards were presented to the families of fallen Heroes who laid down their lives for the freedom and will of Ukraine. Philip Vasiliev was awarded the Order of Danylo Halytskyi (posthumously). Serhiy Gavrylyuk, Ihor Povshedny, Maksym Sukhanyuk and Volodymyr Khomyuk were awarded the Order of «For Courage» III degree (posthumously).
Charitable fund «CF Caritas Zhytomyr» handed over a powerful generator to the city. The power is 320 kilowatts. It will be installed at the Zhytomyrteplocomunenergo boiler house.
Chernihiv Oblast
The families of 14 dead soldiers and civilians from the Chernihiv Oblast were awarded state awards - orders «For Courage» of the III degree. The awards were handed over to the relatives by the head of Chernihiv OMA Vyacheslav Chaus and the commander of OC «North» Major General Viktor Nikoliuk.
In Nizhyn, on February 22, a soldier - a senior soldier Oleksiy Kotlyar, who died near Soledar, in Donetsk Oblast - was taken on his last journey.

Sumy Oblast
During the day of February 21, russian forces shelled 5 communities of the Sumy Oblast. A total of 78 strikes were recorded, the military administration said. In the village of Grabovske, Krasnopillia community, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged as a result of mortar shelling.
Today, the russians fired mortars at the village of Korenyok in the Shostka raion, the village of Boyaro-Lezhachi and the village of Sopych in the Sumy Oblast. In the latter, the road, agricultural and residential buildings were damaged.
Eastern Oblasts
Kharkiv Oblast
Yesterday, the enemy shelled at least 20 border settlements in the Chuguyiv, Kupyansk and Kharkiv raions of the Oblast.
In Kupyansk, a football field and a stadium tribune, a kindergarten building and a 5-story building were damaged by russian rocket fire. The enemy also attacked the residential sector. A civilian was injured. Hospitalized in moderate condition.
During the day, Vovchansk and the village of Vilcha of the Vovchansk community were under fire. Several residential buildings were damaged, there were fires.
In the village of Dvorichna, Kupyansk raion, a direct hit of an enemy projectile into a residential building was recorded.
Donetsk Oblast
The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Shakhtarske directions.
Over the past day, the russian army shelled 12 settlements in Donetsk Oblast with Grads, S-300, tanks and artillery.
On February 21, one person was killed and one more resident of the Oblast was injured in the shelling of the russian army in Donetsk Oblast.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation into Ukraine, 1,382 people have died in Donetsk Oblast, and 3,076 people have been injured. It is impossible to establish the exact number of dead and wounded in Volnovakha and Mariupol.
Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks by invaders in the areas of the settlements of Fedorivka, Yagidne, Berkhivka, Bakhmut and Kurdyumivka in Donetsk Oblast.
On February 21, there was a battle for a stronghold in one of the directions in the Donetsk Oblast, where the defense is held by Ukrainian border guards. All attacks by russian troops were repelled by the Ukrainian military. About ten wagnerians died.
Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion
In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy fired with artillery at the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Bohoyavlenka, Novomykhailivka, Velyka Novosilka, Neskuchne, Prechystivka, and Vuhledar.
During the day, russian troops fired four times at the localities of the Kurakhivka community - three times at Kurakhivka and once at the outskirts of Hirnyk. As a result of the shelling, power grids were damaged: more than four hundred residents are without electricity. Two private houses with outbuildings in Kurakhivka were also damaged.
The russian military attacked Pokrovske Raion with Grad multiple rocket launchers.
Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion
In Bakhmut direction, 21 settlements came under fire. These are Razdolivka, Vesele, Bilohorivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Stupochky, Klishchiyivka, Ozaryanivka, and Toretsk.
The russian military shelled Toretsk with an S-300 missile and hit a private house. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured.
Mariupol
On February 21, 11 explosions occurred in occupied Mariupol. The Ukrainian military destroyed the occupiers' bookstore near the airport.
A book with stories of the defenders of Mariupol was published under the title "I want the whole world to look them in the eyes". It contains more than a hundred stories of the military who defended Mariupol. The funds raised from the sales will go, among other things, to the Fund of the Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders and will be used to support families who lost their heroes during the defense of Mariupol. Southern Oblasts
Mykolaiv Oblast
Yesterday, the enemy fired on a settlement of the Ochakiv community. One person was seriously injured.
Also yesterday, the enemy attacked a settlement of the Kuitsurub community with MLRS. A hit was recorded on an open area. There were no casualties or damage.
In Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk, and Bashtanskyi Raions, the day and night were relatively calm.
Odesa Oblast
A new project has been launched in Odesa with the support of the Israeli Embassy: four groups of practical psychologists from educational and social institutions of the city will undergo advanced training in dealing with psychological trauma. This is especially important given that Odesa has hosted nearly 65,000 internally displaced persons, including those who have experienced the horror of occupation. All of them need help.
The tradition of baking and eating ceremonial loaves of bread for St. George's Day in the village of Krynychne in Odesa Oblast has been added to the list of the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine. In particular, the list includes products that have been practiced by the Bulgarian ethnic minority for almost 200 years.
Kherson Oblast
Yesterday, 22 people were injured in Kherson as a result of shelling by russian troops. 11 of them are in serious condition, and four are in intensive care. Among them is a man who lost his arm and a 16-year-old child. The shelling was sudden, and people did not have time to hide in an underground crossing near the bus stop.
In Kherson Oblast, the russian army shelled Novotiahynka with artillery. Shells hit houses, killing two people - an 81-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man.
As a result of today's shelling of Kherson, a fire broke out in a high-rise building. A russian shell hit the fourth-floor balcony. Rescuers eliminated the fire within an hour. A dead woman was found in the neighboring apartment under the rubble.
In Kherson Oblast, the SBU detained four collaborators who organized a pseudo-referendum. Accompanied by russian occupiers, they went door-to-door and forced Ukrainian citizens to vote for joining russia. After their release, the collaborators tried to "get lost," but law enforcement officers exposed and detained them.
Water supply in Novovorontsovka, in Kherson Oblast, has been suspended for an indefinite period. Due to the decrease in the water level in the Dnipro River, the water in the well has completely disappeared
A temporary crossing of Inhulets River, which connects the village of Kalynivske and the village of Krasnoliubetsk, has been completed in Kherson Oblast. The bridge, which had been repaired for two years and connected the localities of Kalynivka community, was destroyed by the occupiers in May 2022.
Central Oblasts
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Kryvyi Rih Raion of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, 22 people have been killed and 80 others wounded by russian army shelling. There were damaged 489 private houses and 62 multi-story buildings, 30 industrial enterprises and 19 agricultural enterprises and farms, six schools, and seven kindergartens.
A memorial service for the victims is held near a building destroyed by a missile strike in Dnipro. It is 40 days since the tragedy. The strike killed 46 people and injured 80.
The residents of 63 apartments of the destroyed high-rise building in the Peremoha residential area in Dnipro will be paid UAH 2 million from the budget. The first compensation is scheduled to be issued next week.
Another 26 place names have been de-russified in Dnipro. From now on, the city has streets named after Levko Lukianenko, Luibomyr Huzar, Andriy Sheptytsky, and other prominent personalities.
Poltava Oblast
A 35-year-old soldier, Viktor Komar, was laid to rest in the village of Smotryky of the Pyriatyn community. The junior sergeant was killed on February 19 as a result of a wound sustained during shelling near the village of Zaliznianske in Donetsk Oblast.
In the Zinkiv community, the family of Yuriy Berlizov, a soldier killed in the russian-Ukrainian war, was presented with the Order for Courage, III degree, which was awarded posthumously. Senior Sergeant Yuriy Berlizov was killed in the Kharkiv Oblast. The 40-year-old fighter went to war as a volunteer. He performed tasks as part of an anti-aircraft missile division. The soldier was born in the village of Stavkove. Yurii Berlizov is survived by his mother, wife, and children. May he rest in peace.
Kirovohrad Oblast
More than 300 people have already joined the unified assault brigade "Lyut’" in Kirovohrad Oblast. Volunteers will be taught how to carry out assault operations, aerial reconnaissance, how to identify enemy positions and destroy the enemy. Recruitment to the brigade continues. Those willing to join can submit questionnaires through the National Police website or contact any regional center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Kirovohrad Oblast is one of the regions where projects will be implemented within the framework of the Program for the Reconstruction of Ukraine. Currently, there are three of these: in Oleksandrivka, Novomyrhorod and Katerynivka territorial communities. The authorities plan to increase their number. Today, a common task for all territories is the high-quality preparation of project and estimate documentation of the proposed facilities.
Cherkasy Oblast
The free language course "Gentle Ukrainization" has started in Cherkasy. Both immigrants and city residents are invited to learn the state language. Lessons take place in the format of free communication twice a week in the city's House of Culture.
Cherkasy jewelry designer Anna Kryvtsova presented Cherkasy in the military project "ArtMapUkraine". 140 fragments measuring 10 by 10 centimeters, made by embroiderers from all over Ukraine, will be sewn together into two square maps.
They sang congratulatory songs and wished good health - that's how the "Meausday" performance took place in the Cherkasy Academic Puppet Theater. It was dedicated to a colleague who went missing during the war - actor, soldier Yuri Meaus.
Western Oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
Energy workers continue to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. As of February 22, the power grids in the Kosiv and Verkhovina raion, as well as in the Horodenkiv and Snyatyn communities, have not been repaired.
To date, residents of Prykarpattya have exchanged 221,000 incandescent lamps for energy-saving ones. This is a third of the LED lamps provided for the region by the European Union.
Rivne Oblast
In the Rivne Oblast, two more cars were purchased for the Armed Forces. The communities of Povchansk and Bokiimivsk, in the Dubne raion, purchased beads for military personnel. Funds for the car were collected at charity fairs. Another car was also purchased by the employees of the cultural center and school of the village of Khorupan of the Bokyima community. The funds were collected during the "Christmas for the Invincibles" campaign. Currently, both vehicles are already serving our military in the combat zone.
On the basis of the Ostroh Academy, the training of specialists who will support veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war in the territorial communities of the region has begun. Rivne Oblast became a pilot region for the implementation of the project "System of support and accompaniment of veterans in communities". The main goal of the project is to update and popularize the institute of veteran case managers at the community level.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Bukovyna said goodbye to its Heroes: junior sergeant Ihor Todyrenchuk was taken to the village of Velikiy Kuchuriv, sergeant Oleg Mankevich - in the village of Ozheve, soldier Ivan Kyrylchuk - in the village of Dobrynivtsi. Eternal memory and glory to the soldiers.
Bukovyna rescuers, who performed emergency rescue and other emergency work in Kherson Oblast , received awards. Thus, 3 rescuers were awarded the badge "For bravery in an emergency" for their personal courage and bravery. Another 7 employees of the service received honorary diplomas of the State Emergency Service. Also, two participants in the hostilities were presented with appropriate certificates and medals.

Zakarpattia Oblast
The Transcarpathian volunteer initiative "Movement to Support the Transcarpathian Military" has launched a project on the integration of displaced persons. So, for them, the first integration meeting of the "Helping Consciously" project has already taken place, during which participants from different cities of Ukraine went on a tour of Uzhgorod, talked with local volunteers and "first wave" immigrants. The goal of the project is to help with the adaptation of displaced persons in new conditions, to involve them in the volunteer movement, to provide educational services and psychological assistance to children and adults of internally displaced persons.
The "Books of Victory" project was launched in Transcarpathia. Its purpose is to support defenders. Those willing are encouraged to sign their favorite Ukrainian-language publications, leaving words of gratitude to the military and wishes for a speedy victory over the enemy. Books are collected in the premises of the Oblast Military Administration building, the regional library in Uzhhorod and in local schools. From there, they will go to the front line to join our fighters and later stay in the de-occupied cities.
