Kyiv

The situation with power supply in Kyiv remains difficult. The main problem is not the generation, but the delivery of power to consumers. Due to the destroyed grids and nodes, most of the residents of Kyiv cannot get light in their homes. Therefore, only emergency power outages are still in effect, the duration of which cannot be regulated.

A care point was opened in the business center of the Darnytskyi district. Here you can recharge your gadgets, work and warm up with hot drinks. The care point has comfortable sofas and tables, there is also a first-aid kit.

The "Point of Invincibility" provided by the Embassy of Israel was opened near the Palace of Sports. There is Internet from Starlink, hot tea and power banks for charging gadgets.

Orska Street in Kyiv was renamed in honor of the Ukrainian Kuban writer Vasyl Mova.

Kyiv Oblast

As part of his official visit to Ukraine, General Romuald Andrzejczak, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, visited Irpin. The municipal utility company "Irpinvodokanal" will install, at its facilities in Hostomel, five powerful generators received from the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration.

Zhytomyr Oblast

A priest accused of denying the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014, will be tried in the Zhytomyr Oblast. He supported the russian propaganda narratives and spread them among parishioners.

Zhytomyr joined the all-Ukrainian campaign "The Warmest Blood Donor Day", during which donors collected 30 liters of blood for young patients of the onco-hematology department of the Zhytomyr Oblast Children's Hospital.

More than 1,000 letters from children with wishes have already arrived in the mailbox at the Residence of Saint Nicholas in Zhytomyr. This year's letters differ in that, in the conditions of martial law, children do not ask for gifts for themselves, but ask for victory and a peaceful skies.

At least twice a week, and much more often during the holidays, the teachers of Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University get together and bake their signature pies and pastries for the soldiers on the front lines. The Ukraine’s defenders have already tasted and enjoyed them during the de-occupation of the settlements in the Kyiv Oblast, as well as in the course of the liberation of the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kherson oblasts. Such delicacies are also sent to the units that carry out combat missions in the border area of the Zhytomyr Oblast.

The coordinator of "Active Community" in Zhytomyr held a session of "Club of Active Citizens" for the local residents, where they discussed the plan for the recovery of Ukraine and the role of Zhytomyr residents in it.

Chernihiv Oblast

In the morning, the occupying army once again shelled the border areas of the Chernihiv Oblast with mortars. In the area of the settlement of Bleshnia, six hits were recorded, caused, presumably, with 120-mm mortar shells. 

Today, in the Chernihiv Oblast they said goodbye to three servicemen - Artem Selezniov, Volodymyr Makohon and Yaroslav Shtefin.

Yesterday JSC Chernihivoblenergo received 44 transformers as part of humanitarian aid from the Republic of Lithuania. Valdemar Serapinas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine, and Roman Andarak, Director General of the Strategic Planning and European Integration Directorate of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, came to Chernihiv to present them.

In Kiinka near Chernihiv, an outpatient clinic that was damaged by enemy shelling has been fully restored. The building itself was built last year under the "Big Construction" project, but it was never opened.

Sumy Oblast

After midnight, the russian military dropped explosives from a quadcopter on the borderline of the Krasnopillia community. The rest of the night passed without shelling.

Eastern oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

During the day, a number of settlements of the Kupiansk, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv raions, located near the border and the line of contact, came under hostile shelling.

In Kupiansk, as a result of enemy shelling, a fire broke out in the administrative building of a civilian enterprise. No casualties.

Today, the enemy shelled Kupiansk and Vovchansk again, causing suffering to civilians. In Vovchansk 5 people were wounded as a result of shelling. 4 of them (3 men and 1 woman) are employees of the Central Raion Hospital. They were diagnosed with blast and shrapnel injuries. A 62-year-old passer-by was also wounded. All victims are provided with all necessary assistance.

A residential building was damaged in Kupiansk as a result of a missile attack According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Yesterday, in the village of Novyi Burluk, Chuhuiv Raion, a 45-year-old tractor driver hit an unknown explosive device and received shrapnel injuries. 

In Izium, a 39-year-old man was injured by exploding ammunition when he tried to disassemble it at his home.

Donetsk Oblast

On December 21, the russians wounded 3 civilians of the Donetsk Oblast: 2 in Toretsk and 1 in Bakhmut.

In total, since the onset of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, russian missiles have killed 1,275 civilians in the Donetsk Oblast and wounded another 2,773. The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Kramatorsk

Russian military shelled Kramatorsk. It is known about two rocket strikes on the city. Enemy rockets hit a school and an industrial zone in the city.

The coordinator of the AUI "Active Community" accompanied foreign journalists in Kramatorsk. During a tour of the city, he told how the city survived in the first days of the war and how it lives now. He also emphasized the destruction of the educational infrastructure.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion

In the east of the Pokrovsk Raion, the enemy shelled Avdiivka with Grad multiple rocket launchers. They hit Kurakhovo and launched an S-300 missile attack on Pokrovsk. They aimed at the territory of the enterprise. Fortunately, there were no victims or destruction. 

Today, 300 kits with food products, hygiene products and socks were given to the residents of Sribne starosta district. Such humanitarian aid for the needy was provided by the American organization Global Empowerment Mission and the NGO "Quality of Life". Cooperation with donors became possible thanks to the cooperation of Serhii Dobriak, the head of the Pokrovsk city military administration, and the humanitarian headquarters of the community.

Bakhmut and Bakhmut Raion

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy fired from tanks and the entire range of artillery in the areas of the settlements of Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Kurdiumivka, Dyliivka, Ozarianivka, Druzhba , Pivnichne, Maiorsk, Zalizne and New York of the Donetsk Oblast.

In the Horlivka direction, one person was injured and one house was damaged in Bakhmut. There was a lot of noise in the Chasiv Yar community and power lines were damaged. As a result of the shelling, one person was killed and two others were injured. Two high-rise buildings were damaged in the city. In Kostiantynivka, a school was damaged as a result of shelling.

Volnovakha and Volnovakha Raion

Artillery shelling of Vuhledar continues in the Volnovakha direction, Three houses were damaged, according to preliminary information, no one was injured.

Mariupol

More than 10,000 new graves were discovered in Mariupol. This is reported by Associated Press journalists. The total area occupied by graves is more than 51,500 square meters. Satellite images show that most of the graves are located in the cemetery of the village of Stary Krym. At the same time, the occupiers use heavy equipment to dig trenches. So it is likely that there could be several people in one grave. This is evidenced by the marking of some graves with more than one number.

Southern oblasts

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

During the day in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the russian military shelled civilian infrastructure near 18 settlements. In particular, in the morning, the occupiers attacked the village of Komyshuvaha with cluster munitions. Residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling. There are no injured people.

The enemy also shelled Mahdalinivka. One of the private houses suffered significant damage. Two children were injured. It is reported that in the village of Prymirne, near Energodar, the occupiers are climbing over fences and moving into the houses of Ukrainians, as well as looting things from other people's houses.

Kherson Oblast

During the day of December 21, the russian occupiers shelled the Kherson Oblast 60 times with artillery, anti-aircraft guns, mortars, and tanks. The shipbuilding plant, private and apartment buildings were targeted. One person died, six were injured.

In Stanislav, a man was injured as a result of russian artillery fire. Ten houses, power grids and gas pipelines were also damaged.

During the day, russian troops shelled Beryslav, Biliaivka, and Havrylivka. As a result, high-rise buildings and commercial buildings were damaged.

The russian occupiers forcibly moved the patients of the psychiatric hospitals in Nova Kakhovka and Oleshky to Strilkove on the Arabat Spit.

In Kherson, two men who served in the "Northern Correctional Colony No. 90" institution subordinated to the occupation authorities of the russian federation were detained . The prosecutor's office informed them of the suspicion of collaborative activity.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Yesterday, the enemy carried out artillery strikes on the port area and the settlement of the Ochakiv community. As a result, three people were injured, including a 10-year-old boy. 16 residential buildings were damaged.

Also yesterday, the enemy attacked the Kutsuruby community with anti-aircraft missiles. There were no damages or injuries.

Central oblasts

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the night of December 22, russian troops shelled the Nikopol Raion of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. An 8-year-old girl was injured in Marhanets. She was hospitalized at night. Doctors provided help and the child was discharged in the morning. 

A seven-year-old girl, who was injured as a result of a rocket attack on a high-rise building in Kryvyi Rih on December 16, has regained consciousness. The child's condition remains serious. She is in intensive care unit

In the Chervonohrihorivka community, one house was destroyed, twenty were mutilated. Dozens of farm buildings and cars were broken, six power lines were cut.

The German state of North Rhine-Westphalia handed over 370 generators to Dnipropetrovsk.

The first batch of 264 arrived today. The rest will arrive next week. They will be installed in

points of invincibility, hospitals, social institutions.

Ukrainian singer Svitlana Tarabarova accepted the invitation of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade Kholodny Yar from the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. She sang to the infantrymen who had gone through extremely difficult battles in the Bakhmut direction. After the performance, Svitlana took a selfie with the defenders. And she also gave cookies with the name of the brigade written on it.

Kirovohrad Oblast

Serhii Batiashov, a soldier, died in the war with russia. The serviceman was the deputy commander of the volunteer battalion "Tornado", a veteran of the russian-Ukrainian war, a public and military-political figure. From February 24, he fought in the "UVO" company as part of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade.

Poltava Oblast

4 new gynecological clinics for women who have become victims of domestic or gender-based violence will open in Poltava Oblast. They will appear in Lubny, Kremenchuk and Myrhorod.

Western Oblasts

Rivne Oblast

A solemn farewell to military serviceman Roman Dulik was held in the Kostopil community. A fighter was killed on October 29 during the assault of the russian occupiers near Pavlivka (Volnovakha Raion, Donetsk Oblast). Bohdan Dzedzela, a 20-year-old resident of Rivne, and Kshyshtof Tyfel, a 33-year-old member of the International Territorial Defense Legion of Ukraine, gave their lives for Ukraine. Bohdan Dzedzela died in March. However, it was only now that his body was returned home.

900,000 hryvnias was directed by the Rivne executive committee to complete the liquidation of the consequences of a repeated missile attack by russian troops on an infrastructure facility. These are residential buildings that were damaged. The money is taken from the reserve fund. The members of the executive committee made the decision on December 21.

A new communal institution "Day center of social and psychological assistance" will be created in Rivne Oblast. People who have experienced violence will be helped there. It will provide a crisis room for 24-hour stay, the work of a "single window" and a telephone hotline. The corresponding draft decision was agreed by the commission and the presidium and now must be approved by the session.

From the Rivne Oblast, 12 tons of borscht kits were sent to the residents of the Kherson Oblast. In addition, the residents of the Loknytsia community in the Varash Raion collected 400 grocery bags, 16 cubic meters of firewood, 6 "burzhuikas" [metal stoves for cooking and heating] and 2 tons of preserves - lard and jam. A team of volunteers has already delivered humanitarian aid to the liberated territory of the Kherson Oblast.

 

Khmelnytskyi Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

Energy workers perform repair work on high-voltage equipment that supplies the northern communities of the oblast and part of Khmelnytskyi. Krasylivka, Starokostyantyniv, Stara Synyava, partly Polonne and Shepetivka communities were temporarily cut off.

Kamianets was visited by a representative of the Charity Foundation "Stabilization Support Services" in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, Serhii Yatskovskyi. Previously, the foundation worked only in the eastern regions, but now it has expanded its activities. Together with the city authorities, he discussed the mechanisms for the creation of the Council for IDPs under the city council. In particular, a list of humanitarian aid needs for IDPs will be created and transferred to the foundation.

Thanks to the support of the UN Refugee Agency, as part of the grant program to support the initiatives of IDPs from the NGO "CrimSOS", 14 psychological trainings and 6 individual psychological consultations were held in Kamianets for 80 internally displaced children in 2 months.

Chernivtsi Oblast

Bukovyna conducted a solemn farewell to staff sergeant Viktor Rasteriaiev in the village of Cherepkivtsi, soldiers Oleksandr Palatniuk - in the city of Storozhynets, Anatolii Nashkevich - in the village of Komarivtsi, lieutenant Oleksandr Karp and soldiers Yurii Pechenezhskyi, Anatolii Manduliak and Vasyl Dorosh - on the Alley of Glory of the Central Cemetery of Chernivtsi. Sergeant Serhii Simchyna from the Sokyriany Raion was posthumously awarded the Order for Courage of the III degree. The award was given to the native of Bukovyna for his selfless actions in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for loyalty to the military oath. 

A social laundry was opened in the Vyzhnytsia Raion. It was organized in the cultural center in the village of Ispas. For this purpose, the premises were renovated, water and electricity were installed. Not only IDPs, but also socially vulnerable sections of the population can use laundry services for free. And for a nominal fee, the service is available to everyone.

The project, born in Bukovyna, covered 80% of the country's educational institutions in less than two months. During the "Flowers for School" initiative, launched by the online store "Florium" and the Chernivtsi Oblast Council, it was possible to plant 5 million bulbs of tulips, hyacinths and crocuses. 10,082 schools from all over Ukraine took part in the campaign. Applications were received even from Kherson, and after the deoccupation of the city, planting material was sent there as well. The bulbs were provided by the company's partners from the Netherlands.

As part of the AUI "Active Community", a documentary performance "City of Memories-Dreams" was held in Chernivtsi. It was prepared by students of the "Pilgrim" theater studio based at school №3. The purpose of the action is to draw the public's attention to the problems of internally displaced persons.
