The enemy is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, concentrates efforts on restraining the actions of the Defense Forces in certain directions, while at the same time not stopping offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.
During the day, the enemy carried out three airstrikes and launched three MLRS attacks from rocket salvo systems.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, the situation remains without significant changes. The republic of belarus continues to support the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, providing its territory, airspace and infrastructure. There is still a threat of missile and air strikes, including the use of attack UAVs.
The enemy shelled in other directions: the Slobozhanskyi direction - from the territory of the russian federation, using different types of artillery, in the areas of Chuhunivka, Strilecha, Dvorichna, Kamianka, Krasne, Starytsa settlements;
in the Kupyansk direction - from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery, in the areas of Berestov, Kislivka and Figolivka settlements;
in the Lyman direction - from tanks and artillery of various calibers, in the areas of Makiivka, Terny, Torske, Yampolivka, Spirne, Nevske and Zarichne settlements;
in the Bakhmut direction - from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery, in the areas of Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Kramatorsk, Soledar and Yakovlivka settlements;
in the Avdiivka direction, the enemy inflicted fire damage from mortars, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Pervomaiske.
On the Novopavlivskyi and Zaporizhzhia a directions, the enemy launched artillery fire in the areas of Bilohirya, Vremivka, Zaliznychne, Novopol, Novosilka, Olhivskyi, and Orihiv.
Areas of more than 15 settlements near the contact line were affected by fire in the South Buh direction.
The issue of material and technical support of units of the russian occupying forces, which take direct part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, remains problematic. Thus, according to available information, the lack of warm clothes led to an increase in the number of cases of theft and looting by servicemen of the armed forces of the russian federation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson oblsast.
Mobilized military personnel who arrived in the area to perform combat missions did not undergo appropriate training and lack practical skills in the use of basic types of weapons. This leads to significant losses of enemy manpower.
The unsatisfactory condition of the military equipment that was removed from storage and arrived to replenish current losses was the result of rare cases of desertion and surrender of the occupiers to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. According to preliminary information, a significant part of the weapons and military equipment that the occupiers sent to the Donetsk and Novopavliv directions are of limited or completely unsuitable for combat use. In particular, we are talking about T-62 tanks removed from long-term storage.
During the previous days, the destruction of two ammunition warehouses and a pontoon crossing with military equipment of the enemy in the Kherson oblast was confirmed.
The aviation of the Defense Forces, of the current day, made 14 strikes on the areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the enemy. During the day, air defense units shot down an enemy helicopter and a plane - according to preliminary information, a Ka-52 "Alligator" and a Su-25 attack aircraft.

It is implemented by the UNICEF International Children's Fund and the Zhytomyr City Center of Social Services. It is aimed at improving the psycho-emotional state of both children and adults.
In Zhytomyr, volunteers organized an autumn camp for children from families of displaced persons. They hold master classes and sessions with a psychologist.
Zhytomyr children, namely children of family-type orphanages and foster families, visited Ukrainian defenders who are undergoing rehabilitation. As part of the action initiated by the city council children's service "Let's Read-Let's Win!" they shared useful and interesting books with wounded soldiers. It was possible to collect fiction to create a small library very quickly. In addition to books, the children prepared goodies and created postcards wishing the Ukrainian soldiers a speedy recovery and Victory.
Chernihiv Oblast
Yesterday in Chernihiv Oblast, two compatriots were taken on their last journey. They are a soldier Oleksandr Rozlach from Snovsk and a junior sergeant Anatoliy Rozumienko from the Koriukivka Raion.

Russian soldiers fired mortars at the Yunakivka community. Two hits were recorded there.

This morning, the russian military began firing artillery on the territory of the Khotyn community, namely the village of Pysarivka. One house was destroyed, four yards and a transformer at the local brick factory were damaged. There are no victims.

Kharkiv Oblast
Yesterday the enemy shelled the settlements of the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Izium and Chuhuiv raions of the Kharkiv Oblast, located not far from the demarcation line and the border with the russian federation.
In particular, including from the territory of the russian federation, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements: Chuhunivka, Strilecha, Dvorichna, Kamianka, Krasne, Starytsia, Berestove, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka and Fyholivka with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.
Yesterday in the Izium Raion an anti-tank mine blew up a car of pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service. One person died, six were injured.
During the day, no civilians were suffered as a result of enemy shelling. However, a 62-year-old man was injured by a mine in the Kharkiv Raion.
Over the past day, 291 explosive objects were defused.
Donetsk Oblast
On October 26, it became known about three civilians of the Donetsk Oblast killed by russians in Bakhmut.
Two more people were injured yesterday.
In total, since February 24, russian missiles have killed 1,103 civilians living in the Donetsk Oblast, and injured 2,474 more.
The number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha remains unknown.
Kramatorsk and Kramatorsk Raion
At night, the russians attacked Kramatorsk damaging non-residential premises and a former enterprise. According to preliminary information, there were no victims, and critical infrastructure was not damaged.
Mass shelling of the Lyman community continues in the Lysychansk direction. Torske and Zarichne are affected again. Information about the victims and the extent of the damage is being established.
Two children were buried in their own home, one boy was buried by his mother in the yard. The police of the Donetsk Oblast conducted examinations and collected data on the causes of death of four out of five children who died during the occupation of Lyman. Their bodies were found in a mass burial site that was found after the liberation of the city.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Tonight, the russian military used the multiple launch rocket system [MLRS] "Smerch" to attack the suburbs and one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia. The rockets hit the territory of the critical infrastructure facility and horticulture. The infrastructure facility was destroyed. A fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by the State Emergency Service. Damage was recorded in 10 high-rise buildings, private houses and an educational institution: windows were blown out, roofs and doors were destroyed. The street was out of power. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Also, during the day, the occupiers shelled residential buildings in the Polohy Raion with MLRS and artillery. The married couple suffered shrapnel injuries. The man died at the scene, and his wife was hospitalized.
Yesterday, the russian military shelled the city of Orihiv and the village of Preobrazhenka with MLRS with incendiary ammunition. In Preobrazhenka, as a result of shelling, two people died, and one was injured. In Orihiv, 6 apartments caught fire. Fortunately, the residents of the high-rise building were in the basement, so there were no injuries. At the moment, about 70% of the houses in Orihiv have been destroyed and damaged. Due to systematic shelling, residents are once again called to evacuate to safe places. Currently, up to 2,000 people still live in Orihiv.
Over the past day, 852 people, including 138 children, were evacuated by rail from Zaporizhzhia to the cities of Lviv, Chop and Kovel.
Russian servicemen, mobilized a week ago, continue to arrive in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This personnel lacks motivation and desire to participate in combat operations, so numerous cases of desertion are recorded.
Kherson Oblast
Russian soldiers fired at a civilian car on the territory of the Oleshky community. As a result, two people died, including a teenager and an injured 5-year-old child. The police have opened criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war by the russian army.
In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson Oblast, russian troops are reformatting units. Newly mobilized units are transferred to the right bank of the Dnieper river, permanent units are moved to the left bank. The occupiers are also mining the coastal strip of the left bank.
The russian military stole property, documentation and a VAZ-2107 service car from the premises of the raion state hospital of veterinary medicine in Bilozerka.
The occupiers are using elements of hybrid warfare against the residents of Kherson. They use manipulation and spread misinformation.
In the morning in the Kherson Oblast, air defense forces shot down a russian Ka-52 attack helicopter and a Su-25 attack aircraft.
Mykolaiv Oblast
On October 26, from 22:00 to 24:00, 17 "Shahed-136" kamikaze drones were destroyed by the air defense means of the Air Force, two more "Shahed-136" were shot down by other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Of this number, three Iranian-made drones were destroyed over the Mykolaiv Oblast.
Over the past day, the Shevchenkove community was under enemy fire. Yesterday and today, five settlements of the community were shelled by the russians. As a result of artillery strikes, the infrastructure was damaged. There were no casualties.
Enemy shelling of the Berezneguvate community continues. Yesterday, the outskirts of one of the settlements came under fire.
Shelling was also heard at night outside the settlement of Shyroke community. There were hits in the open area. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage.
Odesa Oblast
In the south of Ukraine, the first russian missile was shot down using a mobile application "yePPO" ["There is anti-aircraft defense"]. The russian "Kalibr" cruise missile flew at a low altitude, and due to the features of the terrain, it was difficult for the military to fix it. But several people who saw it in the sky reported it using the yePPO app, which gave the military enough time to shoot it down. The developers of the application emphasize that data from rural areas about russian missiles and kamikaze drones are especially important for air defense, because they often fly at low altitudes in sparsely populated areas.
On the morning of October 27, a russian Ka-52 attack helicopter was shot down by a unit of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Air Command "South". An hour later, a unit of the Odesa anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Air Command "South" destroyed a russian Su-25 attack aircraft.
A resident of Odesa was sentenced to 15 years in prison for treason and creating a terrorist organization. Poltava Oblast
In the Poltava Oblast, three people were spreading anti-Ukrainian content. Two residents of Horishni Plavni and the Poltava Raion were informed of the suspicion of distributing materials containing the justification and recognition of the legitimate armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine. In addition, according to the specified article, the prosecutor's office sent an indictment to the court against a resident of Kremenchuk.
The police exposed a resident of one of the territorial communities of the Lubny Raion in embezzling humanitarian aid worth more than a quarter of a million hryvnias. The suspect took the cargo delivered by the carrier from Lviv to one of the warehouses in the city of Lubny. The cost of humanitarian aid goods is about 228.5 thousand hryvnias. Among the things illegally disposed of by the suspect are several hundred boxes of provisions (in particular, baby food), about a hundred bags of blankets, clothes and household items, dozens of boxes of household chemicals and hygiene products.
Remains of the S-300 missile were found in the Poltava Raion. Previously, fragments of such a rocket were already discovered during harvest in the Pryshyb community. It was shot down by air defense forces in early September.
A new anti-aircraft regiment of the air command "East" (“Shid”) was formed in the Poltava Oblast. The units included in the regiment have already a rich history of victories in the defense of our sky. The regiment will perform combat tasks, cover troop groups, critical infrastructure facilities, administrative and industrial centers and other important state facilities.
An exhibition of the destroyed equipment of the russian occupiers is open in the Poltava Aviation Museum. On the open site of the museum, visitors can view about 10 exhibits of equipment that were brought from Trostianets, Okhtyrka, Gadiach and the Kyiv Oblast. Among them are a tank, a howitzer, an infantry fighting vehicle, an armored personnel carrier, the remains of a helicopter and the tail part of an SU-25SM aircraft.

UNICEF delivered to the Poltava Oblast the largest batch of humanitarian aid during the war for the needs of more than half a million displaced people and residents of the Oblast. It is about 340 tons of humanitarian aid worth $800,000. Most of the cargo is for medicine: from obstetric kits to portable ultrasound diagnostic devices. They will be distributed to 35 hospitals in the Oblast. Also, aid from UNICEF includes school kits, diapers, high-nutrition cookies and protein. And also detergents, etc.
Today, the Oblast organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine and the Samsung company handed over 6 expensive freezers to the regional blood transfusion station, its units in Kremenchuk and Lubny, as well as the psychiatric hospital and the city maternity hospital of Poltava. In addition, 25 washing machines and 51 microwave ovens were provided for places of mass residence of displaced persons, boarding schools, boarding houses, and homes for the elderly.

Rivne Oblast
Ten communities of the Rivne Oblast received 5 generators each as part of the cooperation between the Oblast Military Administration and the USAID HOVERLA project. These are the Bilokrynytsia, Goshchansk, Zdolbuniv, Klesiv, Kostopil, Korets, Ostroh, Radyvyliv, Rokytne and Sarny communities, which have been participating in the initiative since the summer. In addition to 50 generators, the community was also given 100 chainsaws, the same number of led lights, more than a thousand fire extinguishers and 10 motor pumps. Everything was distributed between communal enterprises and institutions of the humanitarian sphere.
Employees of the Rivne nuclear power plant purchased two quadcopters for the 80th and 110th military brigades. The help from the Rivne NPP workers became indefinite, the action was called "I help the Armed Forces!". All interested nuclear workers join it, deducting at least 3% of their salary every month. Thus, it was already possible to purchase three cars, eight quadcopters, seven gasoline generators, six thermal imagers and two rangefinders, as well as clothes and ammunition, warm underwear and fleece jackets.
Khmelnytskyi Oblast
As a result of shelling of energy facilities in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast, there are problems with electricity supply. Today, electricity supply has been restored in the city for more than 85% of consumers. And the repair work is still ongoing. At the same time, under difficult conditions, restoration and repair work is taking place at the main power supply facility. Power engineers, utility workers, and rescue workers are working.
Two regular DJ Mavik 3 quadcopters have already been delivered to the frontline soldiers.
In total, during this time, more than 130 quadcopters and drones of various models and modifications were handed over to various military and law enforcement units from the Khmelnytskyi community with the assistance of local authorities.
Furniture for internally displaced persons is collected in Khmelnytskyi. The Khmelnytskyi Smart Environment office calls on everyone who cares to join the charity event. Everything is needed: beds, wardrobes, tables, chairs, carpets. Everything collected will be transferred through Caritas Khmelnytskyi UGCC to those who most need help with such things.
Kamianets-Podilskyi
The Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council introduced a new type of one-time material assistance from the city budget in the amount of UAH 1,000 to UAH 10,000 to military personnel registered in the city community. We are talking about those of them who were in captivity, were injured, contused, and mutilated.
On the website of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, the specifics of the introduction of emergency shutdown schedules were explained and the telephone numbers of call centers were published. We will remind you that the need to limit the electricity supply is connected with the devastating consequences of the attacks on infrastructural facilities by russian missiles.
Chernivtsi Oblast
Bukovyna said goodbye to the Heroes who gave their lives defending their native land from the russian invaders. Chief Sergeant Vitaly Hnatiuk was laid to rest in the village of Samushyn, junior sergeant Mykola Irimescu in the village of Kamianka, soldiers Lubomir Shevchuk and Oleksandr Kiselytsia were buried on the Alley of Glory of the Central Cemetery of Chernivtsi.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 2,420 internally displaced persons have applied to the Chernivtsi Oblast Employment Service. Specialists helped to find work for 443 of them.
Clothes for wounded soldiers, medical products, medicines and fast food were handed over to Andriy Anosov, an anesthesiologist from the Chernivtsi Oblast Clinical Hospital, who treats the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the east of Ukraine. Workshops on robotics were held in Chernivtsi for orphans who arrived from the Mykolaiv Oblast. They were organized by the teachers of the Chernivtsi Oblast center of scientific and technical creativity of students.
