About us: The Active Community Initiative, launched by activists of the Respublika Institute after the Euromaidan (2014), focused on activating and involving Ukrainians in the decision-making process. The goal for 2025 is to activate and involve at least 1% of citizens in decision-making and promoting reforms in Ukraine on a systematic basis for the well-being of Ukrainian communities. Today we work in 30 communities in Ukraine.

Ukraine in brief:

No significant changes in the activities of units of the Armed Forces of the republic of belarus have been recorded in the Volyn and Polissya areas. The threat of missile strikes from the territory of this country remains.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy continues the engineering equipment of the border areas and mining. He fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Seredyna-Buda, Myropillya, Yunakivka, Sumy oblast, and Hremyach in the Chernihiv oblast.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy conducted air reconnaissance in the areas of the settlements of Ruska Lozova, Cherkaska Lozova and Pytomnyk. Artillery shelling was recorded near Kharkiv, Peremoha, Verkhnyi Saltiv, Staryi Saltiv, Chepil, Rubizhne and Stara Hnylytsia. In addition, MLRS was used in the districts of Korobochkine, Mospanove and Kutuzivka.

In the Slovyansk direction, the enemy focuses its main efforts on maintaining previously occupied positions, conducting defense.

Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of the settlements of Bohorodichne, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Hrushuvakha, Dolyna, Petrivske, Zavhorodne, Protopopivka, Pryshyb, Karnaukhivka, Vernopillya, Chervone, Dovhenke and Krasnopillya. The occupiers launched an air strike near Dibrivne.

In the Donetsk direction, the enemy regrouped in order to strengthen for further action in the Bakhmut direction. In addition, the formation of consolidated units was identified.

Thus, in connection with significant losses, the reorganization of two battalion tactical groups from the units of the 5th Combined Arms Army, which lost their combat capability, into one consolidated BTGr was noted. Also, according to available information, the enemy brought units of the 1st Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Army Corps to restore combat capability.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not take active action, firing at the positions of our troops with mortars, barrel and jet artillery in the areas of Donetsk, Starodubivka, Mykolaivka and Pryshib.

Fighting continues in the Siverodonetsk direction in the city of Siverodonetsk.

The enemy fired from tanks and artillery near Siverodonetsk, Lysychansk, Voronovo, Myrna Dolyna and Hirske.

The Ukrainian soldiers competently repulsed the enemy's reconnaissance attempt by fighting in the directions of Metolkine-Voronovo and Metolkine-Sirotyne. The enemy retreated.

The occupiers are consolidating in the settlement of Ustynivka, are conducting an offensive in the direction of Bila Hora, have partial success, and hostilities continue.

In the direction of Toshkivka - Pidlisne, the enemy captured the settlements of Pidlisne and Myrna Dolyna, consolidated on the occupied frontiers. Also, has partial success in the area of ​​the settlement of Hirske.

The Ukrainian soldiers successfully repulsed the assault in the direction of Vysoke.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired on the areas of Berestove and Komyshuvakha. It led the offensive in the direction of Aleksandropil - Komyshuvakha. It was unsuccessful, he left.

The enemy did not take active action in the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia areas. It fired on the territories near Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Novoandriyivka, Huliaipilske and Novosilka.

Northern Oblasts

Kyiv

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, in which he invited a Hungarian official to visit Ukraine. Orban's spokesman Bertalan Havashi said the talks focused on Ukraine's European integration, the reception of Ukrainian refugees in Hungary and "other areas of Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation". According to him, the Hungarian Prime Minister assured of support for Ukraine's candidate status and called for "the removal of bureaucratic obstacles to Ukraine's membership in the EU as soon as possible". Orban will support this position at the EU summit on June 23-24.

Kyiv Oblast

Almost 44,000 explosive devices were neutralized in Kyiv Oblast.

This summer, 33 camp shifts for children aged 6-17 will operate in 23 territorial communities of the oblast. 

A delegation from Austria met with the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration. During this meeting, two areas were identified: strategic support and current support to Ukraine. In particular, participation in projects that will ensure the reconstruction of the most damaged infrastructure facilities in the Kyiv Oblast and the provision of equipment to ensure the work of medical and rescue services were discussed.

Zhytomyr Oblast

In Zhytomyr, the last honor was paid to the fallen soldier Roman Boyko.

The budget of Zhytomyr Oblast should receive more than 5.6 million hryvnias for the placement of IDPs in public utilities.

In Zhytomyr, quadcopters were purchased at the expense of the local budget and handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Chernihiv Oblast

On the night of June 21, Russian troops twice fired on the Chernihiv border near the checkpoint "Hremiach", 4 kilometers from the border patrols.

Specialists of the State Ecological Inspectorate estimated more than UAH 500,000 in environmental damage as a result of the destruction by the russians of three "AVANTAZH-7" refueling complexes and the "GAZ-RESOURCE" gas station. They came under fire from russian troops in early March.

The prosecutor's office of the Chernihiv Oblast reported in absentia about the suspicion of a russian serviceman who tortured a wounded civilian in the village of Terekhivka.

From July 1, kindergartens in Chernihiv will not resume their work. To do this, it is necessary to arrange shelter in accordance with the recommendations of the State Emergency Service.

"Suspilne Chernihiv" media announced the start of a charity auction. They are selling an exclusive flag of Chernihiv Oblast, signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on June 6. The auction will last until June 24.

Sumy Oblast

Last night, the russians shelled Sumy region.

Yesterday at 6 pm the shelling of the Seredino-Buda and Znob-Novgorod communities began. The russian army fired from barrel and jet artillery. 28 hits were recorded. Then 23 mortar shots were fired from the russian federation at the Bilopillia community. 32 mortar shots were fired at the Velykopysarivska community. The fire at the Znob-Novgorod community was repeated around 7:30 p.m.

Currently, there are 2,063 buildings in the oblast that have been destroyed by russian shelling. Of these, 1,310 are private homes and 198 are apartment buildings. The head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration explained that this number is constantly increasing, as the shelling of the Sumy Oblast by russia continues.

Eastern Oblasts

Kharkiv Oblast

During the day, the occupiers fired on Kyiv, Industrial (5 dead and 11 wounded), Saltiv and Nemyshlyany districts of Kharkiv.

During the night in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv, as a result of russian strikes, the building of one of the educational institutions was significantly damaged. The premises were destroyed by 40%.

A transport company was shelled in the Saltiv district. A fire broke out and one worker was injured.

In the Izyum region, the fire at the gas processing plant caused by the occupiers' shelling is being eliminated. 

During the day, the occupiers fired on Izium, Chuhuiv, and Kharkiv Raions. A total of 15 people were killed and 16 people were injured in the oblast during the past 24hrs.

Fighting continues on the line of contact in the oblast. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy concentrated its efforts on maintaining the occupied frontiers. he invaders are trying to prevent the Armed Forces of Ukraine from retreating to the rear of the russian group operating in the Sloviansk direction. Fighting continues in the Izyum area, Ukrainian defenders repel enemy attacks and hold their positions securely.

Another 993 people, including 254 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv Oblast. More than 30 buses to Chuguev and Kharkiv were used for the evacuation. This was done by the Czech initiative "Helping to leave", Kharkiv volunteers "Eventroom", "Kharkiv Help", "Help me", "Kharkiv", "Unbreakable Kharkiv" and "ETOS".

Donetsk Oblast

Tonight in Avdiivka, the occupiers fired at school №6 with shells of the "Grad" multiple rocket launcher. The building burned down. This is the third school destroyed by the russians in Avdiivka. In total, in the Donetsk Oblast, the occupiers destroyed about two hundred schools.

Since the beginning of the russian invasion of Ukraine, 515 civilians have been killed and 1,333 wounded in shelling and bombing in the Donetsk Oblast.

On June 20, the russians killed 3 civilians in Donetsk Oblast: in New York, Stara Mykolaivka and Kurakhove. 2 more people were injured.

Kramatorsk

Explosions were heard in the community. There were no reports of damage or casualties. At night, the neighboring Druzhkivka was hit.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine and the local Territorial Defense unit prepare to meet the enemy.

Due to the low level of pensions and high demand for food, people are forced to engage in "humanitarian tourism" - turning to various organizations for help on a daily basis. They have to stand in line for several hours. Given the heat, this is physically very difficult.

The situation in the community remains alarming. Residents' attention is focused on the news from Raigorodok and Bakhmut, as the security of Kramatorsk depends on this.

The coordinator of AUI "Active Community" organized the delivery of food kits for the elderly. In total, more than 20 packages were delivered.

Pokrovsk and Pokrovsk Raion 

During the past 24hrs, the cities of Myrnohrad, Avdiivka, Hirnyk, Kurakhove, Zhelanne, and Kurakhivka were under enemy fire. The occupiers fired from aircraft, S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, Tornado-S and Hurricane multiple rocket launchers, artillery, tanks, and used cluster shells.

The armed forces of Ukraine repel the assault on the occupiers, the enemy suffers losses. Representatives of the local Territorial Defense units patrolled the Pokrovsky community.

Defenders of Ukraine have stopped attempts at hostile assault in the Marinka area. The enemy fled.

The past day in the community was relatively calm. No casualties or damage were reported. Enterprises and critical infrastructure facilities operate on a full-time basis.

Residents of the Pokrovsky community received humanitarian aid from the UNCHAIN ​​UKRAINE Foundation.

Training on emergency medical care was held for older homes and active residents.

Pokrovchanka Tetyana Nazarova is in the top ten at the World Nordic Walking Championships.

As part of the Platform for Sustainable Development of Coal Cities of Donetsk Oblast, the Myrnohrad community of Pokrovsky district received another humanitarian cargo - a diesel generator from the Luhansk Oblast’s Human Rights Center "Alternative", medicines and solutions for medical institutions from the Center for Environmental Initiatives "Ekodia".

Bakhmut

In the Bakhmut direction, in the areas of the settlements of Mykolayivka, Vershina and Semigorye, the enemy is conducting offensive operations, fighting continues. In addition, the enemy cynically fired on civilian infrastructure near Pokrovsky, Mykolayivka and Belogorovka.

The Active Community Coordinator provided advice on humanitarian assistance.

Luhansk Oblast

The russians are advancing from different directions - in the areas of Komyshuvakha, Gorsky and Golden. The Ukrainian army held back the assault near Sirotyn.

Lysychansk came under heavy fire.

Russian aviation was used. More than ten high-rise buildings, private houses and a police station building were destroyed.

Also serious damage in Gorsky - 13 houses were damaged, Novoivanivka - seven, in Vrubovka lyceum was destroyed.

Fierce fighting continues in the Severodonetsk industrial zone - the russians hit the Nitrogen building, fired on the territory of a brick factory, and opened fire in the area of ​​three bridges.

In addition, the enemy struck air strikes on Ustynivka, Maloryazantsevo, Belogorovka and Gorsky.

Southern Oblasty

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

Two civilians detonated an enemy mine during an independent evacuation from the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia Oblast. The victims were seriously injured and are currently being hospitalized.

The bodies of the dead servicemen were exchanged in Zaporizhia Oblast. Ukraine has returned the bodies of 35 servicemen, the Ministry of Reintegration said.

The russians released from captivity the head of the fire department of the temporarily occupied Energodar Vitaly Troyan.

The russian occupiers seized the iron ore plant in the city of Dniprorudne. Workers are offered to cooperate with the occupiers and draw up russian employment records. Due to the fact that the mines have been idle for several months, there is an increased likelihood of landslides and floods.

In Zaporizhia, a gunman of the Republican Guard motorized rifle brigade of the DPR terrorist organization was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for treason. The man took part in hostilities against servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donetsk and Zaporizhia Oblasts.

In Berdyansk, there are reports of constant explosions near the seaport. In addition, locals report the flight of russian missiles over the city.

The State Bureau of Investigation reported in absentia on suspicion of treason to six law enforcement officers from the temporarily occupied Berdyansk who sided with the russians.

The occupation administration is creating artificial queues at administrative service centers to demonstrate the alleged "desire" of locals to obtain russian passports.

Kherson Oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, Kherson law enforcement officers have recorded the abduction or disappearance of 408 people.

Currently, the investigation is aware of the release of 259 citizens, 149 people remain in captivity, the Kherson regional prosecutor's office said.

Mykolayiv Oblast

During the day on June 20 the troops of the russia fired at the territories of communities of two areas of the Mykolaiv area. They had fires.

Around 20:00 and 4:00, the Shirokiv community came under fire.

The shelling continues in the Bereznehuvatsky community. Information on casualties and injuries is being clarified.

Yesterday, four X-31A missiles from an enemy fighter and one Onyx missile from the coastal missile complex were aimed at Ochakiv and hit agricultural land in the suburbs. As a result of the shelling of the village of Pervomaiske in the Pervomaisk community, damage to utility outlets was recorded. The outbuilding and dry grass were also occupied. After enemy shelling in the village of Lymany, Halytsyn community, a fire broke out in a house and dry grass.

Odesa Oblast

The danger of rocket fire remains.

Information from the operational command "South": the island of Zmiyiny was dealt a concentrated blow with the use of various forces and methods of destruction, during which the russians suffered significant losses. The military operation continues and requires information silence until its completion.

The military is being trained and the region's defense is being strengthened.

The mayor of Odesa Gennady Trukhanov held a field meeting in several city kindergartens, which will provide shelter for children and staff.

"In order to start the economy of the city and the country, working parents need our kindergartens to start working, so we are working on shelter equipment before they open," Trukhanov said.

The opening of institutions is planned in stages, 18 kindergartens will start operating by mid-July, and in August it is planned to launch all preschools with shelter.

"We could never have imagined that the basements of kindergartens would turn into shelters in case of air alarm, but such are the realities of today's life. We are obliged to protect our children from the shelling of the occupiers, "the mayor added.

During the three months of the war, 293 Ukrainian servicemen were buried in the Dnipro. And in the whole Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, from February to June, 700 Ukrainian soldiers were buried.

Kirovohrad Oblast

The Armed Forces of Ukraine guarded the region’s borders and military facilities.

Today, the Department of Education and Science of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration discussed the issue of conducting language courses for internally displaced persons in accordance with their needs. The discussion focused on the draft amendments to the regional program for the development and functioning of the Ukrainian language in Kirovohrad region for 2022-2027, which was joined by employees of the Department of Education and Science and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Kirovohrad Regional State Administration and teachers of Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University. One of the measures of the program is offered to conduct Ukrainian language courses for willing internally displaced persons to obtain a language certificate and the possibility of further employment in public institutions.

Ibrahim Abdallah, a neurosurgeon at the Donetsk Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, is having his first operation in Kropyvnytskyi. Due to the occupation of Lyman, the doctors of the institution are forced to flee the war for the second time. Now the man operates at St. Luke's Hospital. Ibrahim and doctors will soon open a modern stroke center. However, the surgeon still dreams of returning to his native Donetsk region.

The coordinator of the Active Community provided internally displaced persons from the Lyman of Donetsk region with advice on recovering lost documents (passport, identification code), obtaining a certificate of internally displaced person status, and registration of children in preschool education.

Poltava Oblast

A military vehicle caught fire at a railway crossing in the village of Rudenkivka, Poltava district. He was carrying ammunition. The detonation continues. The fire has already been extinguished. Unfortunately, one serviceman received burns on his hands and face.

Yesterday at approximately 9 pm a mourning procession will pass through Poltava. Everyone took part in a lively corridor of honor.

First Deputy Mayor Valery Parkhomenko and Head of the Strategic Development Department Vlada Spivak met with Fizuli Hanbarov, Head of the Poltava Office of the Council of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine. They discussed the assistance that Azerbaijan can provide to the Poltava community, both humanitarian and economic. In addition, Spivak and Fizuli discussed strategies for cooperation between Azerbaijani and Ukrainian businessmen in the near future.

Last week, Poltava volunteers delivered about 50 kg of animal feed to Mariupol. Jericho project coordinator Maryna Trokhimenko said it was an extremely difficult operation, but with the help of volunteers and the military, it worked. Volunteers do not stop for a day, because needy animals are needed.

In the village of Kolomatske, near Poltava, two communist memorial plaques were dismantled: in honor of the Bulgarian Communists and in honor of the 50th anniversary of October. A monument to Maksym Gorky, one of the leading ideologues of communism, was dismantled in the village of Kryachkivka near Pyriatyn in the Poltava region.

Khmilnyk and Khmilnytskyi district

U-LEAD with Europe provided the Khmilnytsky community with generators, tents, mats, sleeping bags, woolen blankets, hygiene kits, water tanks, chainsaws complete with spare equipment and much more from the first set of wartime needs.

A couple of migrants from Kyiv opened a coffee shop in Khmilnyk with the image of the heroic dog Patron.

Western regions

Rivne Oblast

The general situation is relatively calm, there were no air alarms.

Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine patrol the border with Belarus. Representatives of the Terror Defense are patrolling and on duty at checkpoints.

During the war, 876 internally displaced persons registered with the regional employment centers as unemployed. Currently, 300 unemployed internally displaced persons have been employed. 

Today there are 34 relocated enterprises in Rivne region. Almost a third of them make furniture, and the light and food industries are also represented.

The first evacuated companies moved to their partners. Meanwhile, today some entrepreneurs say that relocation has even contributed to the development of their business. And one of the reasons is logistics. 

Two new patriotic murals have appeared in one of the communities of Rivne region. One of them repeats the plot of the famous postage stamp "Russian warship ...", and the other - symbolic - with the image of a Cossack and a modern Ukrainian soldier. 

Khmelnytsky Oblast

Kamianets-Podilskyi

The mayor thanked the tenants of the community, who, despite the economic difficulties, replenish the local budget. According to the concluded agreements, in May UAH 193,000 was charged for renting premises to individuals and entrepreneurs. However, they paid UAH 200,000! And this is in wartime, when it is forbidden to collect fines for late payment of any payments. There are also cases when the object is not used, but the tenant still pays for the rent.

Mykhailo Podolyan, a 10th grade student at the Kamyanets-Podilsky Lyceum, won a silver medal at the International Olympiad of Genius in the United States.

This year, the state has provided 485,000 hryvnias to the community for rehabilitation measures for children with disabilities. Since the beginning of the year, 19 Kamenets residents under the age of 18 have received vouchers to various institutions in the country. In Kamianets-Podilskyi, the Department of Social Protection deals with such issues.

The coordinator of the Active Community provided advice to people who came to Kamianets-Podilskyi from the Kherson region on what they need to do first and where they can get food and basic necessities.

The Regional Coordinator of Active Community took part in the educational TV program "History of Enlightenment" and in the TV program "Kamyanets-Soborna Capital of Ukraine during the Ukrainian Revolution of 1919" in the studio "SOS Civil Defense Headquarters".

Chernivtsi Oblast

The situation in Bukovyna is calm and controlled, the passage is safe.

Chernivtsi paratroopers defend Ukraine in one of the main directions of Donetsk region.

The head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration Serhiy Osachuk presented the 1st degree medal "Honor of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine" to military doctor Larysa Zburlyuk.

A job fair was organized in Chernivtsi for IDPs. There, ten relocated companies offered people positions as seamstresses, builders, beekeepers and dentists.

Residents of the Tarashan community bought and handed over military ammunition to the front, sewed 30 unloadings, equipped 50 first-aid kits, collected money and bought 14 cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, the community donated two school buses, a truck, a trailer, 36 beds and other items to the army.

Residents of the Nedoboiv community sent a Mitsubishi car for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She was loaded with food and hygiene items.

Zakarpattia Oblast

A hub of public activity will be created in Zakarpattia. Creation and arrangement will take place within the framework of the NGO relocation project. This was reported in the public organization "European School".
